Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises

Isaiah 45:5-7: "I Am The Lord, There Is No Other; There Is No God Besides Me."

Good morning, good morning, good morning to you everybody. I hope you had a wonderful, restful night and ready for another day with the Lord. Let's go to the Lord in prayer. This is the day the Lord has made. We rejoice and be glad in it.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. We are crucified with Christ, nevertheless we live. Not yet us, but Christ lives by faith in us. His word dwells in us richly and we are able to say we are blessed, we are healed, we are set free. Sickness cannot dwell in us.

The number of our days He will fulfill. Sin will not dominate us because the seed of God's word lives in us. We believe that Jesus Christ came and died on the cross and we now have the abundant life and the victory that He provides.

So no weapon formed against us shall prosper. And we are more than conquerors because of his great love. Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world. And we can do all things through Christ who strengthened us as the redeemed of the Lord, we say so.

We thank you for this morning, God. We thank you for your mercies that you have given us. And we thank you, Lord, for your agenda that you have today. We bless you and we honor you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray, Amen and Amen.

Brothers and sisters, if you're joining us for the first time, we've been looking at scriptures where the Lord spoke, so that we get a great understanding of how God speaks, why He speaks, and these instructions thereof, because honestly speaking, I don't know if humanity can survive without God's voice.

And without Him, it's always going to be chaotic. That's why Jesus says, I have to go to the Father, so that He can send the Holy Spirit to be of council, to be a voice that we hear as we continue to live out this life.

So listening and hearing God's voice is so important. In fact, you know, the journey of faith demands hearing. It is one of the most vital components of our faith journey, hearing God speak.

Because when you look at Jesus' prayer that he taught his disciples, it talks about doing God's will let your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven meaning that the will of God was not being done on Earth that's why it says let it be done.

So if we are to know God's will then we have to hear God's voice and God's voice comes through written scripture, comes through your Holy Spirit. So today we are in Isaiah 45:5-7. I am the Lord and there is no other.

And again, this emphasis that keeps running out through the scripture where God is telling us that He is God and there is no other. I mean, it's reinforced over and over and over and over again.

Then again, we always have to ask ourselves, why is something being reinforced over and over again? One is because it is really important to grasp and to understand and then two, the people that are being told this thing over and over again, have a tendency of forgetting.

So God has to remind us over and over again. So that's why you keep hearing, I am the Lord, God. I am the Lord and there is no other. There is no God besides me. I will guard you, though ye have not known me, that they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting, that there is none beside me.

I am the Lord and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create calamity. I, the Lord, do all these things. I don't know if there's any time we have ever stopped and thought maybe the wars that are going on in the world God has created them.

I don't think we ever think that way. We either blame some people or we just look and say, hey, that country and that country is in trouble because of the leaders.

You know, the fascinating thing about God is that he keeps reminding us that he do all things, that there is nothing in this world that he is not involved in. I mean, just think about that.

There is nothing in this world that God is not involved in. He sees it all. He is in everything. He is aware of it all. and throughout scripture in the Old Testament we see instances where he uses different things and different people or different situations and scenarios to achieve a great result because his hand is everywhere.

So in Isaiah 44 and 45 we keep hearing this thing I'm the Lord there's no other. Besides me there is no other. I am God. And he always refers to what he did before. I took you out of Egypt.

I gave you breath. I am the Lord. I created, this time I formed the light. And I create darkness. I make peace and create calamity. So what we want to focus on today in this passage of scripture is I create peace.

I create peace, the peace that we are looking for in our world does not come from human beings sitting down and having negotiations. If that was the case, this could have happened a while ago.

The peace we are looking for in the world comes from Him. Without God humanity is always going to be chaotic. That's who we are. We are sinful by nature. We are born in sin and without God our spirit man wages war against God's Spirit.

And when we don't have God, we will not have peace. That's why the scripture talks about peace that surpasses understanding, which means that there is peace that is understood, but there is peace that surpasses understanding.

Peace that surpasses understanding comes from God. And you can only have peace that surpasses understanding in the midst of chaos. Otherwise, if you have peace when everything is peaceful, then that's not peace that surpasses our understanding.

So when God is saying, I create peace, the peace that God creates is not human peace. It's not peace that comes from mankind negotiating. It's peace that comes from Him, from a place that you and I can't comprehend.

That's why it surpasses human understanding. So God creates peace. He creates peace in our hearts. He creates peace in the country. He creates peace in the people. When a people is far removed from him, there is chaos.

This is why if you go to any country where people still hold moral values and standards towards God, there is peace in that country. Then as people slowly but surely remove themselves far away from God, peace is lost.

Now, think about human peace. We send armies to war, to kill people so that there can be peace. Like, oh, now there is peace in Afghanistan after we have gone and had a fight and killed some people. And then we proclaim, this is human peace.

Oh, now there is peace. That's not peace because now there is internal turmoil in people because there's lost loved ones. So when God creates peace, it enters the soul. That internal turmoil and calamity is far away from people.

So God's peace is what we desire. And that's why he says, I create. He's telling the nation of Israel and also telling us that he is the source of peace. He is the source of peace and he says, I, the Lord, do all things.

Do all these things. What things is he talking about? That I will guard you, that I may know, that they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting, that there is no one beside me. I am the Lord and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness.

I make peace and calamity. I, the Lord, do all these things. This is what I do. So, which means that when we feel peace, whenever we feel it, and however we feel it, God has made it. He has created it for us.

So, brothers and sisters, you know, the things that we are learning in Isaiah is the sovereign authority from which God governs from. And why is he letting us know? Because it is important for us to know, two, is that there's a possibility that we might forget.

So you've reiterated over and over and over again, because it is important for you and I to understand the sovereign authority of God. Why? So that all fear can be removed. That's why you hear again in the same chapter, in the previous chapter, do not fear.

Do not fear, do not fear because fear and peace do not co-exist. So here we are now, he's saying, I make peace. So it's important for you and I to understand that the peace of God that he makes, we're being reminded of in this passage of scripture, is important for our existence and God makes it.

We don't create it, He makes it. All these things are created by God as an inheritance to those who believe. You and I in our walk, we're supposed to enjoy these things because God created them for those who believe, this is part of our inheritance.

We must walk in it, we must enjoy it, we must live in it. A peace that surpasses human understanding. But we must remember that the peace that God is talking about exists in the chaos of our world. It's the peace that comes when all things are breaking down, but still you find yourself in peace.

God makes peace, not mankind. God makes peace. Man's peace is temporary. If you look through all the children of Israelites, they'll have a little moment or a season where there is no war and surely, it starts again.

We in America, we can't count how many times we've been to Iraq to fight. Every generation has gone overly to fight. So over and over again, we keep going there. That's not God's peace. That's man's peace. God's peace is eternal.

It's eternal, that's where contentment comes and we walk this journey with the peace that surpasses our understanding, knowing that surely He anchors us. That's the God we serve. And that's why He keeps reminding, I am your God.

Besides me, there is no other. It starts with me and it ends with me. And it's a reminder to all of us, because sometimes we forget when we are in the midst of chaos, that He is God, He sees all, and He desires for us to walk in His statutes and values.

So, brothers and peace, sisters, as we go out today, Thursday, let's walk in God's peace that surpasses human understanding. Let's walk in peace that He created because it's an inheritance.

It's part of salvation. It's a benefit of salvation. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we are grateful that we can come to you. There are so many things that are going on in our world right now. So many speculations, so much infighting, and people are lost.

Even yesterday when we hear people say, proclaiming that today is the day of rapture and people are running with it. We are living in a lost world and we are grateful that we as your children will find ourselves anchored in the truth of the scriptures besides what we hear what we see and what we are experiencing.

Lord, I pray that as your children, as we continue to walk this journey, our desire is to be light in the darkness, to be salt in the earth, to be an example of walking with Jesus. So that somebody some where's life is exonerated and that they can follow the statutes and values that we are all following.

Lord, I pray that as you guide us in this journey, may your spirit anchor ours. As you remind us that besides you, there is no other. We want to take every statute, every value, every promise that you have in the scriptures for us to anchor us and to steadfast us as we continue to grow in the knowledge of who you are.

Father, thank you for reminding us of who you are, because I know sometimes we forget. where we are challenges by the issues of this world. But we thank you that we have scriptures we can lean on, that we can rest in, that we can read and hear your voice through words, and your voice being confirmed by the Holy Spirit.

I pray, Lord, that this book, may we continue to meditate on it day and night as our souls and our spirits are anchored in you. Turn our eyes from worthless things and continue to direct us in the path of your commands.

Open our eyes to behold the beauty of who you are, as you anchor our spirit in your spirit. Thank you for salvation and its benefits. Thank you for Jesus and all that He has promised to us, healing.

And we thank you, Lord, that none amongst us is dealing with any physical ailments or dealing with any sicknesses or a disease. Continue, Lord, to protect our seniors amongst us from harm and danger, sin or unseen.

Thank you for your hand that is a constant guide in this journey as we continue to find our way to that place that you are calling us to be. I pray, Lord, that may our plans be anchored in you.

Every idea that we come up with, let your spirit be a source of guidance and counsel so that we are never found lost in the midst of this chaotic world. I pray, Lord, that may our lives yield results that continues to contribute and to grow this kingdom that you have put us in.

I pray for opportunities for all of us to teach this Gospel, to be a great example in speech and in doing so that those who observe our lives or those who encounter our lives may also find this hope that is anchoring us day in and day out.

Pray for families that God continue to strengthen us, continue to equip us, continue to guide us, continue to guide our children as they grow and mature. May this book and the laws of this book never depart from their hearts.

As they go to school and meet different ones, let the light in them shine so bright that somebody somewhere gets to believe in God. Thank you for protecting our children from harm and danger, seen or unseen.

We live in a society that is responsible for all the gun violence that we hear of and see. I pray that none of our children will ever fall victim to this diabolic nature. In fact, Lord, we pray for the whole country that may this spirit cease, we come against it, in the name of Jesus.

Father, I pray for this country and this leadership. God, you set up kings, you remove kings. There is nothing that you cannot see. If we can see it, you see it better. We pray, Lord, for all the secret meetings that are held in the hallways to discuss matters that concern society.

I pray, Lord, that may your Holy Spirit be a source of guide. As we pray for this country, we pray, Lord, for a leadership that cares about spiritual things. Remove the chaos that seems to be leading and guiding all our leaders.

Open their eyes for them to behold the statues and values of this kingdom. Give them an opportunity to repent if they so desire not to. Father, may we not be subjected to their thinking and to their demonic agendas.

We pray this prayer knowing that you hear us. Send angels where help is needed, where correction is needed, and direction is needed. I pray, Lord, that as we come together in faith, that you hear us from heaven and act on our behalf.

Thank you for the church. Help the church to stand and rise again. Encourage in you, remind those who may have forgotten what the church is and the value it brings to society. Pray for pastors all across this country.

Clean hearts, pure minds in the name of Jesus. Father, as we go through this week, the rest of this week, may you continue to bless us. May you continue to answer prayer. May you continue to anchor us in truth.

Open our eyes and our ears, unstuck our ears so we can hear, thus says the Lord. Bless us as we go through this day. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Lead us not into temptation. Continue to deliver us from the evil one for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.

Brothers and sisters, may the peace of God be with you today. May you walk in it, may you enjoy it. May you have this knowing in you that God is your victor and everything that you do with your hands, may God bless it.

And we thank you for this community of believers. May the Lord bless you, you have an awesome Thursday and we'll see you tomorrow morning.
