Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises

Isaiah 42:1-9 Behold, The Former Things Have Come To Pass, And New Things I Declare; Before They Spring Forth I Tell You Of Them"

Good morning, good morning, good morning, everybody. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and you are ready for another week with great expectation that the Lord is going to do something special. Let us go to the Lord in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank you this morning for your goodness and your mercy towards us. We thank you for all that you are doing and what you're still going to do. We come before you this morning with a clear understanding that this moment, this time belongs to you.

We have consciously deported it to you so that we can hear from you, we can commune with you. We can fellowship with one another as we seek our daily mercies and then also as we look and search for grace for the day.

So Father, as you reveal yourself in us, as you reveal yourself to us and all that you are doing in the earth, give us the strength to quickly abide in you in whatever it is that you are doing so that God we are always found in alignment and at the center of your will.

We know there are so many things and so many life pressures that are calling on us and pushing on us but Father we are going to relentlessly search for you anchor our souls and our hearts to you Knowing that it's in You that will move and have our being.

And that without You, we are nothing. So Father, bless today and bless this moment. In Jesus' name. Amen. We are in Isaiah 42: 5-9. This is one of my favorite scriptures.

This is what it says, Thus says the Lord, thus says God the Lord, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those who walk on it.

I, the Lord, have called you righteousness and will hold your hands. I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.

I am the Lord, that is my name, and my glory I will not give to another, nor my praise to curved images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare, before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Incredible passage of scriptures, unbelievably incredible. When you read this scripture, the first thing that you would notice, this passage of scripture, is that God explains what He has done.

To validate, even though He doesn't have to, to validate who He is. His authority, His power. So He goes through, He has created the heavens, the earth, and that I give my breath to the people of the earth.

And he says, I have called you, not you have called yourself, I have called you righteous. And I will hold your hand. In other words, when somebody is holding your hand, that means they are leading you, guiding you, showing you where to go, protecting you from potholes and things that you could step in.

Almost clearing the path for you that I'll take what's coming first before it gets to you so he says I'll hold your hand and I'll keep you and then give you as a covenant to the people as a light to the Gentiles then he says I will bring prisoners from prison who sit in darkness from the prison house.

I am the Lord, that is my name, and my glory. I am not going to give to another, neither will I give my praise to carve the image. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare.

Yes, the way we want to kind of set our eyes on. Before, it says, behold new things, behold the former things have come to pass and new things I declare. Then it goes on to say, before the new things spring forth, I'm going to tell you.

That brothers, my sisters, shows you our advantage before God does anything. That's why I'm always saying this and I'm confident of this very fact that before God does anything, His first preference is to tell His children.

Before He does anything in the earth, His first preference is to kill his children so which means that you and I we have a responsibility of hearing what God is doing today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year.

We should know, this is why most Christians when things happen we are not surprised because we already know that this is how it's gonna go because before God does anything he tells us, he tells us.

So which means the problem, if we don't know, is because we are not listening. Not because God has withheld the information, but it's because we are not listening. That's why the Bible says, whoever has an ear, let him hear what the spirit of the Lord says.

The first preference that God has to disseminate any information to humanity is his children first. This is why the scripture says the children of light are like kids in the marketplace that we don't understand that we are in a place of value and we've been set apart.

I mean being set apart is for his usage to get preferential treatment that's what we have preferential treatment that God tells us in advance what he's about to do to prepare us that we don't take heed.

That's why there's a lot of things in this world that takes place and that never surprise us because your spirit could have received a word from the Lord. Now if we know this that means that in our daily lives in our yearly planning in our monthly decade planning.

That we have to search for information in the spirit that God is disseminating to the world. Most times when I pray I'm always say Lord give me give me knowledge of what's coming 10 years from now so that we can prepare today.

So that we can set some time aside to think about what it is that you are planning on doing because the Bible said he's speaking then in the same passage it says I'll hold your hand and guide you.

So, from being told what's coming, and then from God holding your hand and guiding you towards what's coming, that's an incredible phenomenal advantage. And we have to utilize it and we have to know that God is in favor of telling us first what's going on in our world and what's coming.

Pertaining to your children, to your family. And we must search for it. Because we know for a fact without a shadow of doubt that God is speaking. So there is a need for our ears to stay attuned to what God is doing.

Because every day he has an agenda that he is releasing in the earth. And our job is to hear before it is done. So that we are not caught by surprise, but above all else, so that we can pray or intercede for what's coming.

Most times when God shows you something, He's not showing you because he has nothing better to do. He's showing you because he's looking for someone in the earth to agree with him.

So that what he has in store can be validated by faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. That means that He is doing something, and something is coming.

If you have faith, you automatically have to know something is coming. And God is going to talk about it before it happens, so that we can be in alignment to that which He is doing.

Here's another scripture, no eye have seen and nor ear has heard, neither has it entered our hearts what God has in store for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

So if no eye have seen and if no ear has heard, and if it hasn't even entered our hearts what He has in store for us, that means in order for us to develop faith to which that he is doing. There's a major responsibility on our part to hear what he's doing so we can develop faith for what he is about to do.

Because without faith, it's impossible to please God. But we can't have faith if no eye have seen and no ear has heard. And if he has something in store, then the scripture comes back and he says, yeah, I'm going to tell you in advance before I do anything.

And not only that, I'm going to hold your hand and guide you. But now look at why all this is happening. To bring out prisoners from prison. And to bring lights to those who sit in darkness.

And for his glory to be seen and his praise to be received that's why God is telling us what he's about to do because ultimately his goal is to get every person who is in prison out of prison.

Those who are in darkness out of darkness so that we can receive he can receive his glory and praise. So God is speaking, brothers and sisters, and he's going to tell us in advance what before he does anything.

And the reason he's telling us in advance is because we're his children and we have preferential treatment. And it's our responsibility once we're hear to intercede and to align ourselves to that which He is doing.

So as we go out today, I want us to realize that we have a great responsibility that has been placed on our shoulders to hear what God is doing so that we can intercede, we can stand in the gap, we can align ourselves so that we are never caught by surprise.

That we know this was coming, and we've been praying for it. I mean, if you go throughout scripture, you see so many times where God told somebody what's coming and they're just not ready for it.

So we want to be ready for what God is doing because He has told us in advance. It's almost like getting answers to a test in advance. So this is the questions they are going to ask on this test.

And once you get the questions, if you're smart enough, right, you would go and study and look at the questions and really kind of try to figure out what they are asking so that you can answer correctly.

It will be unwise of you to receive the questions from a test that's coming and never study and never look at it and never try to figure out exactly what it is they are asking. That's who we are.

And God says, before I do anything, I will tell you. And we have to believe that and we have to walk in that. That's our inheritance. That's what God has set this kingdom to function. So it's important that we hear.

And it's important that we understand that whatever God is going to do, He's going to tell us first that we should never be caught by surprise. So as we go out today, let's keep our ears attuned to the Spirit.

Thus says the Lord. Let's keep our ears attuned so that we know what he is saying, what he's doing, what he's about to do, and what's coming. So that we can prepare. We can pray, we can intercede, we can align ourselves, Amen. Let us pray.

Father, we come before you this morning and we thank you Lord for this great advantage we have, to be taught by you what is coming, so that we can prepare ourselves for it. So help us in our hearing.

Help us Lord in our hearing, so that we are attuned, so that we are never caught, confused, or unaware of that which you are doing. But above all else, we want to align ourselves to that which is important, to that which is coming.

Thank you, Lord, for loving us this much, forsaking us apart and giving us the statues for this kingdom so that the way we function is not off this world. I pray, Lord, that as we begin this week, we're going to start it with this great idea that you're constantly speaking and telling us what's coming first.

So therefore, we want to walk, Lord, looking for it. We bless your name for loving us this much. And we pray, Lord, that as this week continues, may our children be found in You.

May they lean close to You, and may we teach things that will become some doctrine to them. We pray for grace and strength, elevate us, challenges, equip us, transform us and I pray Lord that Father as we continue to grow in you, may our shoulders be broadened so that we are the light, the voice of reason, the salt in these dark times.

There's so many things that are happening around us and all form of reason has been lost but God, we believe that we are the salt. So we thank you for what you've deposited in our hearts.

And I pray, Lord, that with our hearts and minds, we will abide in you. So that whatever we seek you for, and whatever we pray in trouble on the courts of heaven, that God you answer. You are our blessed redeemer.

Our words cannot express the magnitude of who you are. Now, as we go throughout this day, bless every single one of us. Bless us with great ideas to solve problems in our workplaces, in our homes, in our lives.

Open our eyes to see things that you are doing. And we pray, Lord, for the blessing of the Lord to flow in us and through us. Heal anybody who might be sick amongst us. Strengthen anybody who might be weak amongst us.

Rescue somebody who might be in bondage  and will be so quick to give you the glory that rightfully belongs to you.

So Father, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.

So brothers and sisters, let's keep our ears attuned and attentive because whatever God wants to do, the first people he wants to let know is you and I.

May the Lord bless you, may the Lord bless your day, and may the Lord equip you and strengthen you in all that you are doing. We will see you tomorrow morning and have an awesome, incredible, phenomenal day.
