Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises
1 Kings 6:11-13 If You Walk In My Statues, Execute My Judgements, Keep All My Commandments, And Walk In Them, Then I Will Perform My Word With You Which I Spoke To Your Father David "
A very good morning, a very good morning to you. This is Pastor Zee and I hope you had a wonderful and lovely evening, well rested and ready for another day with the Lord. Let us go to the Lord in prayer.
May our prayer rise like incense before you, lifting our hands as a sacrifice. O Lord Jesus, turn your eyes upon us, for I know there is mercy in your sight, your statutes are our heritage our heart is set on keeping your decrees still our anxious edge towards rebellion.
But you have lived and kept your love upon us take all that we have and break it apart because your commands are boundless and have none your word is our joy and our meditation from the rising and the setting of the sun.
All your ways are loving and faithful. Your road is narrow, but your burden is light, because you gladly lean to lead the humble, so we shall gladly kneel to live our pride. Thank you for your grace and thank you for your love, your guiding hand, your guiding spirit.
Thank you for all that you have done and what you're still going to do. Blessings to come and blessings that have come. Your word says these signs will follow those who believe. So I pray, Lord, that as we continue to leave a trail of signs behind us, may you continue to elevate us in your purpose because you're sovereign, you know all things.
You are never late. You're always on time. Nothing surprises you. You see it all. If we can see it, you can see it better. The way you do your things is diametrically opposed to the way we would do our things.
So, Father, we stand in acknowledgement that it's through our faith that you lead us into triumphant procession. So Father, as we look ahead, and as we look even now, where we are stepping through the Word of God, I pray, Lord, that you continue to encourage us, inspire us, motivate us, and above all things, continue to give us Jesus.
Thank you, Lord, for your grace that comes in abundance and in all kinds of forms. So today, as we gather this morning to fellowship with one another and to have communion with the Holy Spirit.
Guide us into today's purpose and all that it has in store for us. Open our eyes to see opportunities to minister to somebody and open our eyes to see where the Kingdom of God is in full effect so that we can be inspired, encouraged and we pray this prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen.
Today is Wednesday, September 10th, and we are in 1 Kings, 1 Kings 6:11-13. It says, then the word of the Lord came to Solomon. Let's stop right there. One of the things that we need to appreciate about God's word is that it always loves you before you love it.
The word of the Lord comes, it comes to us, it comes to you. For example, I'm speaking to you right now, this morning. You don't know what I'm going to say today. But this word I'm about to share with all of us, it's a word that has been on a journey.
Because when you think about when these scriptures, when we planned this schedule and looked at the scriptures and put them together according to the date and time when we will speak to them.
We planned this schedule about two months ago. So which means that this scripture, 1 Kings 6 verse 11-13 was planned two months ago and you're only now hearing it today because the word of the Lord is coming to you.
So when you go to church on Sunday, most likely the sermon you will hear was something that was planned maybe weeks and weeks in advance. So which means that word has been coming to you, has been on a journey coming to you.
So when you see where he says the word of the Lord came to, it means that word loved Solomon before he loved it. So then the word of the Lord came to Solomon saying, concerning this, concerning what?
The temple which you are building. Concerning the temple which you are building. Now, I want you to put yourself in there, because you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Then the connotation is kind of the same here.
It says, concerning the temple which you are building, if you walk in My statutes, execute My judgments, keep all My commandments, and walk in them, then I will perform My word with you.
Now, when you read the scripture, you'll see all my, it's all capital letters, making an emphasis that is coming from the Lord. My word with you, which I spoke to your father David, and I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.
Now, as we all know, there's so many different, there's five different types of grace. This year is grace that is conditional. If you do A, B, C, D, then I will fulfill this word. There are certain things that we will not be able to do until if we do what the Lord has asked us to do.
So in this situation he's telling Solomon, if you are going to handle temple building if you're going to handle temple building, building God a house there are things and prerequisites that you have to do in order to get that structure up but also in order for God to abide in the structure.
So, the first thing is that walk in my statutes. The second thing is execute my judgments, then keep all, not some, all my commandments. Not only are you going to keep them, but walk in them.
Then I will perform my word with you, which I spoke to your father David. And after that, I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people. If you, if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways.
Only then will I hear from heaven and then I will heal their land. So the prayer that causes healing for nations demands that God's people who are called by his name humble themselves, seek his face, turn from their wicked ways.
Only then will God hear that is pertaining to a prayer that heals a nation. If you do A, B, C, D, then I will do A, B, C, D. Because one of the things about God, brothers and sisters, is that He is not going to reward you for doing things the wrong way, unless you continue to do it that way.
But worse off, you teach the wrong thing to the next generation. Because God is building generations. As much as he's concerned about us, he's concerned about the generation that is coming in 2030.
So everything that he's doing right now has to line up with what's coming. His principles are always the same today and forever new. They are never going to change. They are never going to change.
So when I hear people say, oh man, it's the 21st century, we have to adapt. There is no adapting in the kingdom of God. There's conditional grace, then there is grace. that enables us to do certain things, but there is conditional grace.
And every time you see conditional grace, it has to do with what God wants to do through somebody, not what we want to do through ourselves, but what He wants to do through somebody.
And when He wants to do something through another person, that person who is going to be a vessel, you have to abide by conditional grace. Can't have it any other way. So if your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, this applies to all of us.
That if you want me to dwell in you, here are the things you must do. If you walk in my statutes, execute my judgments, my commandments, and walk in them, only then will I perform my word with you which I spoke to your father, David, and I will dwell among the children of Israel with, and will not forsake my people, Israel.
So a prayer or grace that demands that God won't forsake us, demands that we walk in his statues, in his values, and keep his commandments and walk in them. And 21st century Christianity has pushed this whole idea that, well, we can just do whatever we want to do and God can bless.
It does not work that way. Because God is not going to bless that which is contaminated. He's not going to do it. He is holy. That's why He says, Be He holy as I am holy. Because there are certain things God is just not going to be involved in full stop.
And because it demands that if you want me to dwell with you, if you want me to walk with you, then there's certain things you have to do. Because you can't force me to walk with you if you're not keeping my commandments.
But you have to understand, brothers and sisters, the word of the Lord comes to you. It loves you before you love it. So most times when you hear the word of the Lord coming to you, it has been on a journey.
And we don't know how many years or months or weeks it has been traveling towards you, loving you. So yesterday we talked about being a blessing to somebody, making sure that we are speaking to other people and that they are speaking to us that we're inspiring and encouraging others.
Because the word of the Lord comes through people and it comes to edify, to rebuke, to correct, to enhance, to inspire but it comes. So next time when you hear somebody says, I have been thinking of you, that means that word has been on a journey.
Loving you searching and looking for you and finally somebody heard it and was able to call you and tell you I have been now I always tell this story where a pastor heard the Lord say I want you to give somebody a car and he's like no way I'll give my car I just bought this car.
Says well, I need you to give this person a car. Three times we dream okayed. The third time, the Lord said to the person, hey, you are not the first person I asked to do this. I've already asked a few people before you and they all said no.
So which means this word has been on a journey looking for somebody to execute it but could not find anybody. Have you ever read something or studied something and you gain interest in studying something and you ask yourself.
Why am I studying this and at the present moment sometimes it doesn't make sense to you why you are studying what you're studying and I am I'm a victim of this because I study random things.
And I always ask myself why, why am I studying about airports, why am I studying about ants, why am I studying eagles I do it most of the time and I don't understand why I'm doing it until years later or months later you are on a call with somebody and God reveals something through you through eagles.
Through ants, through airports because he is preparing you for a word that is going to somebody and that word has to love them before they love it, and it has to be processed by God in however ways he processed it.
Here's another example. A few months ago, Calvin sent me a video of a pastor who is now retired. And he was talking about how they started their church, and this is way back in 1970 somewhere there in Canada, small little church, and he was expressing and talking about his journey.
Now, that story was so incredibly inspiring. But now when you think about it, it happened way back then in 1970. So which means that me hearing it in 2025, that story has been on a journey of well over 50 years.
Coming so that I get to hear it so which means that story loved me way before I was even born so when the word of the Lord, now think about this here this word that God is talking is talking to Solomon about. His father received this word years before Solomon had no idea what was coming.
No idea. So, which means Solomon had to grow up, he had to go to school, high school, middle school, and college, and become a king. So, which means that word was on a journey of well over 20-some years.
And then God comes and says, yeah, this word that I'm asking you to perform, it's conditional. If you do A and B and C, only then will I perform this word. So for us, we have to pay attention, especially close attention to words that comes from people.
Whenever we are doing whatever it is that we are doing. They are not random, it's never random. It is never random, don't dismiss it. It's the word of the Lord. If somebody meets you on the street and it randomly gives you a word, remember this, it's not random.
If somebody calls you and just gives you a word, don't dismiss it, it's not random. It's been on a journey. most likely there's people who have been told by God to give you the same word but they just could not listen to it or execute it and until somebody stood up.
And says I will execute it but we have no idea how long that word has been on a journey to your ears but most times when it comes to executing what God wants to do through you have to abide by his statutes and his commands.
You can't do it without. Especially things that pertains to him. You can't just do your own thing. And I'm in this season where I'm learning a lot about this alot says to me if you're going to do it my way.
Then there are certain things that you have to be and to do. And it's a reminder to all of us. But we gotta realize that the Word of God loves you before you love it. And most times when it detains God's Word that He wants to execute through somebody, there's conditional.
It's conditional grace. God does not anoint us just because He has nothing better to do. He anoints us because He wants to do something, but if He's going to do something, if He's going to do something, especially as it pertains to Him, there has to be conditions.
His conditions. I know we walk around most times saying gifts comes without repentance. Yeah, gifts comes without repentance. But we have seen numerous times in the scripture when somebody is still doing whatever it is they are doing through their talent.
But then the word comes back and it says he had no idea that God had left him. Talent can only take you so much, so far especially in this kingdom. So brothers and sisters, as we speak to one another, as we say things to one another, you gotta remember that is the word of the Lord coming to you because it loves you before you love it.
Amen, so today, let's love that word that comes from the Lord. And just know that when it comes to God doing some things through us, they are conditional. So every time you see in scripture where it says, If... If... Remember, there's conditions.
And if these conditions are not met, it's not going to happen. Because God ain't going to change. God is not going to be like, ah, you know what? Let's just go ahead and do it. Because, you know, I don't know if you're ever going to get it.
Remember, God has no shortage of people to use, zero shortage. He's always constantly searching for whom He can. Always constantly searching for who we can. God asked Moses, take my children to the promised land.
When he couldn't do it, he says, well, your journey ends here. I'll raise somebody else. Joshua, get up and go as always, to brothers and sisters, let us be aware of the word of the Lord when it comes to you.
And always ask yourself, what are the conditions that God is setting up? Amen. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, for this morning we are grateful for your word that comes to us. We thank you, Lord, for all that you have done and what you're still going to do.
We are grateful that we have a Father who loves us, who never changes. It's always constant, always the same. And I'm praying, Lord, that in this season of our lives, as you are using us in so many different capacities, I pray, Lord, that you continue to speak to us.
We give you permission to speak to us, because we need to hear from our Father. And we thank you for your love. We thank you for your grace. We thank you for all that you are going to do today.
And we trust that today you have an agenda and may we find it and walk in it. Thank you for equipping us, for strengthening us, and giving us wisdom, inspiration, motivation, and desire to execute that which is your word.
We pray this prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now continue to lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for thine is thy kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen.
Brothers and sisters, before we go, I almost forgot this. Earlier on, I was praying earlier on in the morning, I know for a fact that a lot of people that are on this prayer call that God has placed you in your families as anchors.
I had a conversation yesterday with Nadia, and we were just talking about some things, life. And what I'm realizing with this group of people that have been gathering and coming together for morning devotion, for prayer, and for Bible study, is that God has ensembled a group of people that are anchors in their families.
We care and sometimes most of us, it's almost get replaced. Why should I be the only one who cares? Why not them? Why not her? Why not that sibling? Why not that one? And I want to encourage every single one of us that your role that God has given you in your family.
It comes with anointing, it equips you with power, it comes with God's grace, it comes with God's strength. If you look out throughout scripture, you will see that in every family there was always this one.
From Jacob and his sons, Joseph, David, Jesus you name it there's always been this one family member who cared because most times God's Spirit is resting on those people and that's why we care.
That's why it's you that's why it cannot be that sibling that's why it's not that one it's because it is you and the reason why it is you is because you care and God does not give you the spirit of caring and the spirit of giving and sowing without supplying you with the seeds to do it.
So I want to encourage everybody on this prayer call that God has picked you and God has placed you in your family as an anchor because He is trusting that you will receive His wisdom, understanding, power, authority, anointing to be exactly who He has called you to be in that family.
So let's walk with courage and boldness, knowing that it's not us, but it's Him. And He's going to help you in your journey as you continue to be the anchor in caring and bringing people to Christ and doing things that not everybody wants to do.
So may the Lord bless you and remember you are not walking alone. And remember God has assembled a team of people who care. And we are all, as I look around and hear these stories, we are all the same people.
So let us encourage one another, knowing that God has a calling and anointing that He has placed in every single one of your lives. Because you abide by His touches and His values. May the Lord bless you.
May the Lord bless your children, the works of your hands. May the Lord bless the works of the one who sent you. May the Lord bless your hands as you build. And may the Lord bless your ears as you hear. Thou sayeth the Lord.
Bless your eyes to see things that not everybody is seeing. And the Lord keep you in good health, good health, your mind functioning right, your body functioning right. No underlining diseases anywhere.
May the Holy Spirit do his work in Jesus' name, Amen. Let's all have an incredible, phenomenal day, Amen.
