Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises
Jeremiah 3:14-17 "“Return, O Backsliding Children,” Says The Lord; “For I Am Married To You."
A very good morning, a very good morning to you everybody. I pray that you had a wonderful, restful night and you are ready for another week, another day with the Lord. And let us go to the Lord in prayer.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day that you have made. We are rejoicing in it and we are glad in it. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Crucified with Him, nevertheless will live.
Not yet us, but Christ lives by faith in us. His Word dwells in us richly. We are able to say we are blessed, we are healed, we are set free. Sickness cannot dwell in us. The number of our days, you will fulfill.
Sin will not dominate us because the seed of God's Word lives in us. We believe that Jesus Christ came and died on the cross. And we now have this abandoned life and the victory that He provides.
No weapon formed against us shall prosper. We are more than conquerors because of His grace and love. Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. And we decree and declare that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
As the redeemer of the Lord, we stand and say so. And we thank you for this day, as we go into it, as we fellowship with one another, as we commune with the Holy Spirit. Lord, give us direction, give us the daily bread, give us your will for this day, so that we can walk in it rightfully, knowing surely that you are anchoring us every step of the way.
We bless you this morning and bless our fellowship and our time together in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen and Amen. Brothers and sisters, if you're joining us for the first time, we've been tracking in the scriptures the word of the Lord, Thus says the Lord, or Listen, listen, or whoever has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit of the Lord say.
So today we are in the book of Jeremiah 3:14-17 Return all backsliding children, says the Lord, for I am married to you. I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I'll bring you to Zion.
But there's a principle there that when God finds you, He takes you from point A to point B. The outward journey is to bring you to Zion. And I will give you, I will give you shepherds according to my heart and that's capital letter my heart M is capitalized right there. Meaning it’s showing the importance of that who will feed you with knowledge and understanding then it shall come to pass when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days says the Lord that they will say no more.
The Ark of the Covenant of the LORD, it shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, or shall it be made any more. At that time Jerusalem shall be called the Throne of the LORD, and all the nations shall be gathered to it to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem.
No more shall they follow the dictators of their evil hearts. Incredible, phenomenal passage of scripture. But the key thing I want us to focus on, verse 15, and it says, And I will give you shepherds according to my heart.
Who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. And it shall come to pass when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days. So, we are getting from the prophet Jeremiah the equation for multiplication, how we will multiply anything spiritually.
So the first thing the Lord will do, He says, I'll give you shepherds. Not shepherd, shepherds, the plural, that will feed you. And what do they feed you with? Knowledge and understanding and it shall come to pass.
So in other words, when your knowledge and your understanding is now steadfast, that's when God will multiply us or anybody. When there's knowledge and there's understanding, you get multiplication.
So one of the keys to growth right is acquiring knowledge and understanding in order to multiply, for example if you haven't led or brought anybody to Christ, it means that you haven't grown in knowledge and in understanding.
Because when knowledge and understanding is steadfast in an individual, it leads to you multiplying yourself. So, in the principle that God is speaking to people, says when I bring you into Zion, in other words, when you get saved and you bring into Zion, I'm going to give you shepherds, people that will lead the way.
And their job is to bring knowledge and understanding of scriptures and of this kingdom. And when knowledge and understanding is increased, ultimately it leads to multiplication. So there's two things about this here.
That if you have a responsibility of teaching, which every single one of us on this prayer call, we do. Because once in a while we'll teach a Bible study here, once in a while we'll pray over here, once in a while we do, we'll lead a few things.
If we have a responsibility, that means you are part of shepherds. And our job in all that is to make sure that knowledge and understanding is what we are bringing into play so that people can have a steadfast spiritual life.
And when that has taken place, it shall come to pass that God will multiply you, us. So, there's a responsibility on every believer that we grow, not so that we can just become Christians, but that ultimately, we are able to teach the things that have made us grow.
Everything I've been teaching and if you've been part of us and everything that I've been teaching, you should be able to be teaching it too by now, or you should be able to add too, so that you grow in knowledge and understanding.
Because we need people saved, because it's God's desire, not because we want numbers. No, it's God's desire for people to be saved and for people to be hungering and thirsting after this gospel in as much as you and I are doing it.
This is not exclusive, we are not exclusive. This is what God desires for everybody, to be in Him. So which means that if God desires, we also have to desire it for other people. Why? Because God wants to multiply and increase in the land.
And look at why He's trying to do that. I'll bring you to Zion. He wants to bring people to Zion their home. The scripture tells us over and over again this is not our home so in other words he wants everybody to return back home.
But for that to take place he has told us there's three things that has to happen, one they'll give you shepherds not one shepherds then two they're going to teach you so that you gain knowledge and understanding.
Then when that has happened, multiplication happens. And you know where we can see this in action? Jesus comes as the ultimate shepherd. He picks 12, he spends three years educating and teaching them.
And after three years, they had gained knowledge and understanding. After they gained knowledge and understanding, they started increasing in numbers. Because on the day of Pentecost, there were not 12, there were over 120 people that were followers of Christ consistently.
And these 120 They have been also be educated because the first twelve had gained knowledge and understanding. And then God multiplied and increased them, why? To bring them to Zion.
Hence the gospel was spread. So, I'm desiring that knowledge and understanding grows. This is why I'm constantly researching and looking and checking and trying to figure out what's going on in our world.
Why? Because I want to make sure that every single one of us, we have knowledge and understanding of this kingdom and what's going on. Because when that is such root, then it moves you from being a regular Christian to now become part of the shepherds.
I refuse that we walk together for a long time and you not be equipped to be or even better than I am spiritually and knowledge and understanding. Because inspiration, this is why Jesus always said, you are guys going to be greater than me.
Greater works will you do than I did. Why? Because you've gained knowledge and understanding. So when that happens, multiplication takes over. So we have to grow, thus says the Lord.
We have to grow. We don't have options. We have to grow because God, as long as there are people who are not saved in the world, then we have to grow until everybody, if everybody is not saved, go.
Knowledge and understanding is part of the day because God wants to multiply us. He wants to because he wants every single person saved. No one should perish. That's his agenda.
So brothers and sisters, we need to grow in knowledge and understanding. Knowledge of scriptures, understanding of scriptures. Knowledge of spiritual things, understanding of spiritual things.
Our prayer should be, Lord, open my eyes. Open the eyes of my heart so I can grow in knowledge and in unity. Because you desire to multiply us so that this kingdom continues to grow.
Thus saith the LORD. And then in 16 it says, Then it shall come to pass when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days, saith the LORD, that they will say no more.
The ark of the covenant of the LORD, you shall not come to mind nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore. So, in other words, when everybody has increased in knowledge and in understanding, and we have been multiplied.
When everybody is in the place, then this Ark of the Covenant, which is a representation of the Church, it shall be in you. You will no longer be looking for it externally, because you know you carry it within you.
And it shall not come to your mind in other words, you won't be thinking about, Oh, I have to go to church on Sunday, because you will be the church, and every day will be Sunday for you.
There will be no more need to look for it because you carry it. And how is this going to happen? I'll give you shepherds according to my heart. I will feed you with knowledge and understanding.
This is what church is supposed to do. It's supposed to be fed with knowledge and understanding. So we know this kingdom, and we know his word and his scriptures, and we know the statutes and the commandments that God has for us.
And when that is set in stone in us, God shall multiply. And when we multiplied, there won't be any need for anyone to go around looking for church, because you know church is inside of you, that you are the church.
So I want us to grow, so we can move from bringing believers alone to being shepherds, where we are also teaching our loved ones, our nieces, our nephews, anyone we encounter, we gotta teach.
And then it will come to pass that God will multiply us. So as we go into this day, let us remember that the key thing that we are all looking for is gaining knowledge and understanding of spiritual things and his word.
My people perish because they lack knowledge. And my people, and we can, the opposite of that is true. People don't perish if they have knowledge and understanding. In fact, they get to be multiplied.
In other words, you will replicate yourself after your own kind. It's amazing how if you sit in church or if you sit under a pastor for a long time, that slowly but surely you're going to start sounding like him.
So I want us to grow because God wants us to grow, so that we gain knowledge and understanding. Because he wants to bring as many people to Zion as possible. Because it's His will, it's His desire.
So let us grow and you're going to hear this from me in this next coming few months before the year ends. Because next year is going to be a whole different year. We have to look at ourselves and say, I grew.
I'm doing things differently. I'm not the same believer I was last year. So we ought to grow and gain knowledge and understanding. So let's continue with self-evaluating as we go throughout this remainder of the year and check ourselves and add to some of the things that we already do.
Grow, multiply, because God desires to bring people to Zion. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, our blessed Redeemer, words cannot express the magnitude of who you are. We thank you for the many blessings that you have bestowed on us.
We thank you, Lord, for your authority that governs us. So, Lord, as we enter into this day, we are constantly giving it back to you, knowing that your guidance, that your Spirit, is what we need in order to be elevated and to continue walking circumspectly before you.
A prayer for wisdom and an increase of knowledge and an increase of understanding. That Father, you are growing and teaching us so that we can become the very true nature of who you are.
Thank you Lord for what you are doing in us. And thank you Lord for the many blessings that you have bestowed on us. We lift you up and we lift your name high so that we can draw all men unto you.
I pray Lord that as this is our mandate to grow, we want this too for our children. So open their eyes as much as you open ours so they can see your Spirit in leading. Lord, I pray for spiritual, physical, mental, emotional healing for all of us.
That God help us in the things that we deal with internally so that we can be pure before you. Pray for salvation to be part of who we are as we desire to see others come to Christ. But while we are doing that, continue to heal us, continue to break our hearts without breaking yours.
Heavenly Father, we are believing you for greater because it's your mandate to see people grow. Bless our children as they go to school and deal with 21st century challenges. Guide them from harm and danger, seen or unseen.
We thank you for your sovereign authority that has given us a lot of things to use the lives in this Kingdom. So we call on the angels and dispatch them, in the name of Jesus, to all the schools in America, to bring order and peace where there is chaos.
Father, we are tired of school shootings, so we send angels on assignment to demolish this spirit once and for all, in the name of Jesus. Father, I pray that as we go into this day, opportunities to minister, to hear, to pitch, and to grow in all understanding, that you will be part of the portion.
Lord, I pray for your grace to abound and your peace to abound. We claim our new mercies for this morning. as we enter into it. And we ask you, Lord, that may we walk uprightly before you.
Bring people who will bring correction and order to our lives, but also people who will inspire us to continue to do great in this kingdom. I pray for your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven that may you give us today our daily bread.
And lead us not into temptation, but continue to deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.
Brothers and sisters, may the Lord bless every single one of you. May He equip you with knowledge and understanding so that multiplication can become part of our true essence. Bless your children.
Pronounce blessings over them. Pray for one another. Encourage somebody, inspire somebody. Grow as a believer. Because this hour, this hour here demands that we do. May the Lord bless you and we'll see you tomorrow morning.
