Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises

Jeremiah 2:19 "Your Own Wickedness Will Correct You, And Your Backslidings Will Rebuke You "

Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning everybody. I hope you had a wonderful, restful night and you are ready for another day with the Lord. Great expectations for what the Lord has in store for you and I and for His kingdom. Let us go to the Lord in prayer.

Father, we come before you. We thank you for your grace. We thank you for your love. We thank you for your peace with us. We thank you for reconciliation. We thank you, Lord, for all that you have done and what you're still going to do.

We thank you, Lord, that you have a plan and a purpose for every single one of us that fits perfectly into your agenda and our desire is that your will and our will align. So, thank you Lord for the many challenges that we face.

The mistakes we make because your word says all things will work together for those who love the Lord that are called according to His purpose.

So, we know Lord that as long as we love you that you are constantly making all things work together for us as we continue on this journey of salvation, loving one another, communing with the Holy Spirit and a relationship with you in this kingdom.

So, Father, as we gather this morning it's always our goal to devote this morning time to you because we believe and we know your word tells us that every morning you provide new mercies for us.

So, Father, we are grateful for these new mercies that you have given us every morning and we claim hours today knowing that we need them and you know, we know we need them. That's why you give us new mercies every morning so that as the day continues and go we find ourselves at the mercy seat of your grace.

So, Father, we are grateful for that which you have given to us as an inheritance. As we come together this morning as we look at scriptures, may you by your spirit continue to lead and guide us in all things true, in all things right and in all things spiritual.

We pray this prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen. Brothers and sisters, today we are in the book of Jeremiah, Jeremiah, yeah it's two in the book of Jeremiah and today it's Thursday, 23 and we are in chapter 2:19, very short passage of scripture.

It says your own wickedness will correct you and your back sliding will rebuke you. Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing that you have forsaken the Lord your God and the fear of me is not in you, says the Lord God your host.

Very simple passage of scripture but very strong and what we want to focus on is your own wickedness will correct you and this is kind of like in line with what we spoke about yesterday.

Self-evaluation is actually part of the gifts of the fruits of the spirit because self-evaluation comes under self-control, self-control is a fruit of the spirit.

So, the scripture is saying that your wickedness in other things the things that you do wrong, they are actually an opportunity to correct you so that you can align back with what the Lord is trying to do.

Hence the enemy always uses voices especially when you do something wrong that he kind of torments you because of your deeds. Even though when you know the Lord is forgiving you.

Even though when you know the scripture says come as you are and when you come let's reason together and I'm able to take what seems so drastically heavy on you and turn it for your good.

Even though we know these things these statues that God has given to us that when you ask for forgiveness I will throw your scenes into the sea of forgetfulness. Even though we know these things I'm sure some of us we can attest that with that knowledge the enemy sometimes just comes to torment us.

So, the scripture is telling us that the things that you do that are wrong they are actually an opportunity to self-correct. A person who cannot self-correct, that means the fruit of self-control is not growing inside of you.

Every single person I believe has the ability to know this is wrong because moral law is written in the conscience and in the souls of mankind by God. It's not something you go to school to learn.

It's not something that you were taught every person knows what not to do to another person and knows what the other person should not do to you because we know that it means in us there is something God plays in our souls that can see that I am wrong and that's the very part that connects with him.

And that's the very part that self-control resides so that we can self-correct. It's always good and important to have brothers and sisters around you who can either justify you or who can correct you or who can challenge you in certain areas so you can grow.

But it's always difficult to receive justice means or a correction from another if you yourself don't have the ability to self-evaluate. So, self-evaluation is important and I always say that everything that enemy throws at us is actually an organized system.

And if you learn to dismantle it to look at it you can see that the devil is organized himself against you hence this ability to self-evaluate. So, the scripture says you're all weak at this the things that you do wrong will correct you in other words that's an opportunity for you to self-correct for you to be in line with God.

Repentance is an act of God, it’s an act of the Holy Spirit that comes and convict our souls so that we can repent and reconcile with God. So, wickedness the things that we do the things that we utter consciously or subconsciously or the things that we say at a speed of thoughts.

And we find ourselves that oh my god I shouldn't have say that that wickedness can correct you so you can align back to who God is. So, brothers and sisters I believe the Lord is saying to all of us as we near the end of this year.

To look back to challenge ourselves to see some of the things that we set out to do to see some of the things that we were either slow to do or we procrastinate it or we just whatever it is, is an opportunity to self-correct the things that we wanted to get over and maybe we never got the opportunity to do it.

It says all the things that we do wrong, the wickedness in us is actually an opportunity to self-correct. How else will we know God is good if our lives were perfect? No challenges we don't say anything wrong, but the goodness of God is always revealed in our mistakes.

The goodness of God is always revealed in the things that we do wrong the goodness of God always is revealed in the wickedness in us and how do we know that the scripture tells us that your heart is very weakened.

It devises plants and things that are weakened but even with that it's an opportunity to self-correct because self-correction is part of self-control and self-control is a fruit of the spirit. I love how much the word of God it’s statutes, it’s values is intricately woven into our lives and in everything that we do.

That God has a button that he does things in order to fulfill whatever he desires to fulfill in us. That that which was meant for bad can be canned to good wickedness can be canned for good.

As long as the Holy Spirit is involved, as long as the Holy Spirit is involved. So, self-evaluation is important because it leads to self-control. Understanding the wickedness in us and looking at it as an opportunity rather than is something that is that is there to destroy us.

And the enemy is so quick to rub it in your face when you do something wrong and then you start tormenting yourself until you realize and come around scriptures that says your own wickedness will correct you.

So, brothers and sisters the next three October, November, December let's go through a self-evaluation process of just trying to understand where are you, what is the Lord doing with you what wickedness is in my heart that I need to continue to deal with.

Because in order for us to be the source the light in this dark urge that means that we have to raise a standard the scripture says when the enemy comes in like a flood God will raise what? A standard.

The standard that God raises is in his things, in his values, in his statutes but is also you. Great wickedness demands great holy man to match it. Jezebel was present and there was a need for Elijah.

Herod was present who was the type of Antichrist and there was a need for Jesus, so wickedness demands great people rise up. So, the way we rise up is understanding who we are and what God is making us to be so that we can be the standard when the enemy comes in like a flood God will raise you as a standard.

And you can and if you work for any organization they will tell you that we have standards and they ask everybody to abide or to self-study so that you can match the standard of how we do things.

God is the same thing there is a standard for Christianity, there is standard for holiness, there is standard for spirit filled man, there is standard for hallelujah, there is standard for singing my sister Veronica will tell you that.

You can meet people who think they sing until you meet another person who came actually sing, there is standards. The same thing in this kingdom there is a standard, the standards for growth the standard for working with God.

That's why Abraham was made an example because he developed the standard to work with God and he was made the father of faith. So, self-evaluation is important understanding and seeing the wickedness in your heart is important.

Because that will correct you and bring you to a place of growth that God is needing you to get to. Why? Because the enemy is raising is coming in like a flood and there has to be spiritual man and women who meet him with their great standards.

So, it's important to self-correct and it's important to have brothers and sisters around you that also challenge you. I like being challenged because it made me grow. I like to sit and evaluate my life.

To see the wickedness in me because I know that's an opportunity. I'm sure you have heard me saying numerous times that the biggest way to holiness is through temptation. When you are tempted and you overcome it you become holy.

So, wickedness as bad as it is. It's an opportunity to correct you. The best way to know what's in your heart is the evidence of things that you have done without the spirit of the Lord.

And that's how you know oh my God. I want to be in mind in Isaiah the prophet Isaiah chapter one, chapter two, three he gives prophetic words that we accurate nothing was wrong with them, they were accurate.

In chapter 6 Isaiah sees the Lord high lifted up in the temple and he sees his robe and the first thing that Isaiah saw was the wickedness in his own heart and he says war is me I am a man of unclean lips.

That evaluation caused him to be right with God, it caused him to self correct, it caused him to see that man I have an issue here and once he saw it he asked the Lord help me for I am a man of unclean lips.

But this is a man who gave incredible phenomenal prophetic words before this event because there was wickedness in his heart. So brothers and sisters let's self correct, let’s self correct and let's deal with some things in us that align the crevices of our heart.

So that the Lord can use us and raise us as a standard when the enemy is coming in like a flood. Let us go to the Lord in prayer.

Father we thank you for your words that cuts deep into our souls. that helps us to see who we are in our entirety, so that we can come to you for peace and love. We thank you for your grace, we thank you for your anointing.

We thank you for this day that you made and we thank you for the things that you are doing today. We lean through you and we thank you great that from the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that we will continue to lead out this life the best way that you are calling us to do it.

We thank you Lord for self correction, we thank you Lord for the challenges that you are placed in our lives, the things that you are revealing in our heart so that we can be the people of God that you are calling us to become.

So that the standard in us is raised to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Bless every single one of us as we go through this day, may you continue to lead us into all things true all things right.

Lead us not into temptation but continue to deliver us from the evil one, for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen.

Brothers and sisters may the Lord bless every single one of you, may you have an awesome phenomenal day and may God continue to bless your children in everything they are doing. To guide and to protect them in all things true, in all things right.

Pray for an anointing to match and to meet these dreams in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will see you tomorrow and have an awesome day.
