Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises

Isaiah 48:16-18: "Thus Says The Lord, Your Redeemer, The Holy One Of Israel: I Am The Lord Your God, Who Teaches You To Profit, Who Leads You By The Way You Should Go."

Good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, everybody. I hope and pray that you had a wonderful night, well rested and ready for another day with the Lord. Let us go to the Lord in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your goodness and your mercy. We thank you, Lord, for all that you have done for us and what you're going to do. And we thank you, Lord, for all the things to come that we are yet to receive, but we know they are on their way because we believe and we have faith.

We thank you for strength to believe, strength to walk, the courage and determination to pursue that which is right. We thank you, Lord, that we have a place we can come to and know that we will be received and that your word will purify us and then send us out to be the righteousness of Christ before you.

We thank you, Lord, for your grace. We thank you for your anointing. We thank you for your many blessings, for your gifts and talents that you have bestowed on us. We thank you, Lord, for your sovereign authority to govern all that we are doing.

We rest in the fact that we are in your hands. That you know all things, you see all things. There is nothing that is hidden from you that you don't see. And we pray, Lord, that as we continue to search you, that your love will continue to draw us closer to you.

And we thank you, Lord, that as it draws closer to you, that you will continue to reveal to us how we ought to relate to one another, but also how we ought to walk with you. We thank you, Lord, that when you pray, when we pray, you hear us and you hear us from the heavens and you are quick to do if we abide in you and you abide in us.

So this morning, as we look at your word, as we fellowship with one another, as we commune with the Holy Spirit, May You reveal to us what Your agenda for the day is, so that we can walk circumspectly before You.

Father, bless us this morning as we devote this time to You in Jesus name, Amen. Brothers and sisters, we are in Isaiah chapter number 48:16-18. I will read, Come near to me, hear this.

Now when the scripture says come near to me and hear this it means that there are certain things that you will not hear or preview to hear if you don't come near. God is constantly speaking all the time.

But there are certain things that requires that you draw near in order to really hear what it is that he is saying. In other words, as much as, you know, when you think about our relationships, is that I'm saying something right now, but if I call you individually or personally, it's not the same thing.

That means there is a level of intimacy that goes on to play when God says, come near to me. In other words, draw closer. Because when you get closer to me, there are things that you can hear that you wouldn't be able to hear unless you are close to me.

This is why we always call for special times of prayer, for special times of coming together, because those designated times is when we are trying to really, really get closer to God intimately.

God is close to us, but there's times that He demands that we really get closer to Him. So come near to me. Come near to me I have not spoken in secret from the beginning. From the time that it was, I was there.

And now the Lord God and His Spirit have sent me. Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to prophets, who leads you by the way you should go, or that you had heeded my commandments, then your peace would have been like a river. and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Yes, the way we want to focus on. I am the Lord your God. I teach you to prophet who leads you by the way you should go. Now, brothers and sisters, there are so many different ways to get from point A to point B.

You can go in a circle, you can go in a straight line, you can go in a rectangle, you can go in different directions, but still get to your destination. There are ways that we go and there's the ways that we desire to go, but then there is ways that the Lord leads us to go.

I will lead you by the way you should go. Now, we always say when you see scripture that says, that tells us what's going on, it means that we have a tendency to do the opposite. That's why scripture was written.

I will lead you by the way you should go. Not the way you think you should go, but the way you should go. The way that we should go is the way that God has designed for us to go. On that path that God has designed us to go, He has aligned some things and people and places that will take place if we go on the route that He is leading us.

If we go on the different route, that he is not leading us. We are going to discover that along that journey is going to be difficult, challenging, because there are things that are not in place because those things are in the way that we should go.

So if the Lord says, I want you to take I-20 to Atlanta from Birmingham, and along the journey, you will probably designate in Talladega, you're going to meet somebody else, and in Douglasville, you're going to meet somebody else, and all those people that are on that pathway.

I have designated them to show you or to give you certain things in order to get to the destination successfully with everything that you need to do, to use when you get where you need to get.

But if I choose to go 280 on a different route to get to Atlanta, that means when I get to Atlanta, I would have missed some things that are necessary for me to use at my destination.

So the way the Lord has sent us, or the way the Lord is leading us, which we should go, on that pathway is not necessarily about just the victory, but it's about the things that we have to collect in the process of getting to the destination.

Because getting to the destination is not the end of the road. It's the beginning of the journey. If I get on the plane to fly to England, when I get to the airport, that's not the end. That's just the gateway to where I am going.

But there are things that I have to have in order to successfully leave or never successfully visit England the right way. So the way that the Lord is leading every single one of us is not about the destination, it's about the things that we are supposed to learn on the journey.

The things that we are supposed to learn on the journey are equipping us to get to the destination and be successful when we get to the destination. So what is really important for all of us is to understand that every day and every step that we take is the way the Lord is leading us to go.

Because the way the Lord is leading us to go, help us in our growth, help us in our understanding, help us in knowing who He is in us and reveals to us the talents and the gifts that God has given us.

Two days ago, yeah, two days ago, I was talking to my sister Veronica and she said, man, I can't believe that we are where we are now. Because when we started, I thought I was just going to be helping you with slides and presentations, and here we are now.

And if we take that example, it means that before I met her, there are things that God was already instilling in her in order to help us in our quest to do ministry. Unbeknownst to her, way, way back there before now.

The Lord was leading her in the way that she should go, to learn and to study certain things so that when this time comes, she was thoroughly equipped in helping us organize, strategize, and elevate the way ministry is done.

And every single one of us, even when we take a moment to either lead morning devotion or to pray, it means that you've been on a journey that the Lord has been leading you to do certain things unbeknownst to you.

So, the way the Lord is leading us, even right now, He is leading us on a journey. We don't know what we'll be doing 10 years from now. But surely, I can guarantee you this, the Lord's way is constantly aiding and teaching us to get to the place that we need to get to.

And I believe this is why sometimes things seem to be slow or a thing seems to be fast because the Lord sometimes slows us down to make sure that we are thoroughly equipped for the journey ahead. God's ways are not our ways.

They are not similar. It doesn't look like the same. It says God's ways are not our ways. So if God's ways are not our ways, then which means that there is a way that he is leading us that is diametrically opposed to what we are thinking.

Or I would say what we are thinking is a fraction of the totality of what he is leading us to. That's why we always prophesy in part. In other words, we don't prophesy with the full measure of what is coming because we don't know unless God reveals it to us.

So there is the way we should go that the Lord is leading us and our job is not to find it. But our job is to align with Him so that He is constantly leading us in the right direction. That's why the scripture says the Word is a lamp unto thy feet.

Not a flashlight. It's a lamp. You can only see where you are stepping. As you see where you are stepping, God is going to guide you. My mother always used to say, do not ask God to guide you or to show you which way you should go if you are sitting.

You have to be moving in order for Him to direct your path. So today is really a devotion on how the Lord is leading us. How the Lord is leading you in the journey that you should go. The questions that we need to ask ourselves, am I following his direction?

Or am I doing my own thing? And I believe in my own estimation. This is why sometimes we fail in life. Because if you go the direction or the way that the Lord is not leading you, it means you're going to get to a dead end.

Or you might get to the destination that you're going to get, you're going to find it rough along the Lord. Because it is not the way the Lord is leading us. So our job as believers, this is why we pray. This is why we fast.

This is why we commune with the Holy Spirit. This is why we read scriptures. This is why we worship. For the reason we worship is so that we can draw closer. Remember what the scripture says at the beginning.

It says, come near so you can listen. So when we draw closer to God, the clarity of the journey becomes easy to see. So brothers and sisters, it's always good to reflect on where you are and why you are doing what you're doing and if what you are doing aligns with what God is calling you to do.

Knowing the two is the difference between victory and challenges. And of course, God is able to take everything that we do, whether it's wrong or right, to still get us in the right direction.

All things will work out for good for those who love the Lord, and are called according to His purpose. So if you love the Lord, that means you're constantly going to draw near. So eventually, at some point, as long as you love the Lord and as long as you're called, eventually you will find a day that you will draw near to Him.

And then all things will then work together for those who are called according to His purpose. But the goal, as believers, is for the Lord to lead us the way we should go.

Because if we go the way the Lord is leading us on that pathway, we are going to meet people, we are going to experience things, we're going to see things that will edify us in our journey.

If we go a different route, there's going to be challenges. And those challenges will just slow you down. It doesn't mean you won't get there, but it just means you'll slow down. If you are supposed to be on the highway and you decide to use different routes to go the same direction.

It means you're going to travel at 35 miles an hour, or you could travel at 70 miles an hour on the highway. So we should constantly be searching, Is this the way the Lord is leading me to go?

If He's leading you to go that direction, I can guarantee you, you will meet some people, you will experience some things, you will feel some things that will edify you and grow you. Remember, our job is to grow in the knowledge of who God is.

The way we grow in the knowledge of who God is, is through interaction and communion with the Spirit and His Word and brothers and sisters who were saved. And in this journey, I believe with all my heart that God has led people along the journey to help us in the way that we should go.

So as we go out today, remember, we have a responsibility to draw near to Him so we can hear which way He is leading us. Because as He leads us in the way that we should go, growth, victory, knowledge of who He is, understanding of God's statutes and values will be enhanced in us because we are on the pathway to victory. Let us pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, our blessed Redeemer, words cannot express the magnitude of who you are. We thank you, Lord, that you love us and that we are called according to your name.

We thank you, Lord, that you know exactly where we are. You have no problem whatsoever of locating us. And I pray, Lord, that as you locate us, may you lead us in the way we should go.

May you speak to us in the way that we should go. We thank you, Lord, for grace. We thank you, Lord, for anointing, for purpose, talents, gifts, so that we can profit the right way. I pray, Lord, that as we interact with the Holy Spirit.

May we be quick to listen and quick to hear. As we interact with others, may we gain wisdom and understanding and knowledge of what it is that you're teaching us. Father, we pray for this season we are, with all the difficulties and challenges that are happening around us.

That may we be sustained, may we be inspired, that we belong to you, You are in us and we are in You and You are guiding us in all things true. Thank you for leading us. We ask you now, Holy Spirit, to come guide us by the hand in the direction that we should go because we know purpose, talent, gifts will be enhanced on the way that we should go.

Bless every single one of us with revelation and knowledge of what you're calling us into. May we grow the gifts and talents that you have placed inside of us, so that we can contribute to the growth of this Kingdom.

Father, I pray for all of us, in our families, in our children, that may you reside in our homes. We give You a place to sit in our homes so that Your Spirit is a source of guidance in everything that we do.

We pray even for our children, may they find their pathway, the way they should go that is led by You and by the Holy Scriptures. Father, I pray, Lord, that May you, by your Spirit, continue to grow our children in the things of the Lord. Guide them spiritually.

Send the angelic to talk to them in their quiet times. Send the gift of the Holy Spirit to inspire them. Father, thank you for health, wholeness in our bodies, in our minds, and in our spirit.

I pray, Lord, that our seniors amongst us are blessed. They are healthy. They are walking, Lord, in strength and wisdom. I bless you for this team of believers that you have gathered together.

And I pray, Lord, that as we continue, Lord, to join in spirit, in unity, may you, by your Spirit, grow us mightily in the name of Jesus. We thank you for being our Father and we, your children.

Bless this country. Bless its leadership. Speak to somebody, Lord, and help them to understand that by the decree of the Holy Ones, to the intent that the living may know, that the Most High rules in the kingdom of man.

Father, I pray, knowing that You hear us as we continue to commit these lives to You. May You by Your Spirit continue to guide us into purpose and into factory. Now lead us not into temptation, deliver us from the evil one, for Thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen.

Brothers and sisters, there is a way that we should go that is clearly marked by the Lord. Let's not miss it. Let's walk on that pathway because on that pathway is victory because growth is accentuation of talents and the capacity to see God move.

May the Lord bless all of us and may the Lord bless your children. May the Lord bless the works of your hands. May the Lord bless the works of the one who sent you. May we have an incredible, phenomenal Thursday.

Love somebody today. Call somebody and encourage them today. And remember, tomorrow is Friday. We lift up each other in prayer. So make sure you submit your prayer requests.

And let us continue to join one another in prayer, as we serve one another in spirit and in truth. May the Lord bless you, and we'll see you tomorrow morning.
