Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises

Ezekiel 12:21-28 "Thus Says The Lord God: None Of My Words Will Be Postponed Any More, But The Word Which I Speak Will Be Done, Says The Lord"

Good morning, good morning, good morning, everybody. I hope and pray you had a wonderful night. You're well rested and ready for another day with the Lord. And we thank the Lord that He has woken up today and that His new mercies are available for us this morning and we claim ours. Let's go to the Lord in prayer.

Father, we thank you for your grace. We thank you that our faith is enduring. We thank you, Lord, that we are standing in Christ, the solid rock. We thank you, Lord, that your strength is our portion, that your wisdom is guiding us in everything that we do.

So we pray, Lord, that as we look at your words this morning, as we fellowship with one another, as we commune with the Holy Spirit, may you continue to guide us in everything that we do.

We have a full understanding, Lord, that our efforts have no meaning if your presence is not here with us. That everything that we do in this kingdom is because you have given us the strength and wisdom to do it.

So we bless you for all that you have done and what you're still going to do. We stand here to acknowledge your goodness and your mercy towards us. Now be with us as we devote this time to you.

And as we fellowship with one another, speak to us quietly. Remind us of the things that are important and also things that we might need to change in our lives or to get better at. And I pray, Lord, that as we continue to hunger and thirsty after you, that your spirit will continue to walk with us, guide us, protect us, shift us from point A to point B.

So Father, bless us this morning as we look into your word. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. Today, brothers and sisters, we are in Ezekiel 12:21-28. If you're joining us for the first time.

We are tracking the scriptures, looking at the words that God speaks to us as human beings. In other words, wherever we find the words, Thus says the Lord. The reason we are doing it is because it's important to hear from our Father and what his heart is and what his mind concerning humanity is.

So we are in Ezekiel 12:21-28, And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, what is this proverb that you people have about the land of Israel, which says the days are prolonged and every vision fails.

Tell them therefore, thus says the Lord God, I will lay the proverb to rest, and shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel. In other words, the children of Israelites were complaining and really, it's a lack of faith that stopped them or that caused them to ask the question about every vision that God was speaking to them.

So they were not believing in what the Lord is saying. So they actually end up coming up with a proverb, right? A proverb that says, yeah, the days are prolonged and every vision will always fail.

And isn't this us sometimes when God is holding things off or slowly putting his plans in place that we are quick to say these words, that man the days are prolonged and every vision always fails.

Then God's response was that tell them, therefore, tell these people that I will lay the proverb to rest in other words I'm going to put away your thoughts that thinks everything fails, that everything is prolonged.

I'm going to put that aside and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel, but say to them instead this is what I want you to say to them, the days are at hand and the fulfillment of every vision.

For no more shall there be any false vision or a flattering divination within the house of Israel. For I am the Lord, I speak the word which I speak. Which I speak will come to pass, it will no more be postponed.

For in your days, or rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it, says the Lord God. Again the word of the Lord came to me saying, Son of man, look at the house of Israel, saying, the vision that he sees is for many days from now, and the prophecies of times far off.

Therefore say to them, thus says the Lord God, None of my words will be postponed anymore. but the word which I speak will be done, says the Lord God. The word I speak will be done, it will not be postponed.

It will happen when I want it to happen, and it shall be so because I said so. My father-in-law always used to say to me, Son, do not fight the Spirit, because you will lose all the time. The reality is that God cannot be manipulated, cannot be tricked, cannot be forced, cannot be coerced.

He is God by himself. When he speaks a thing, that's what it is. no matter what we think, no matter how we think. So, when you see something being repeated in the scriptures over and over again.

It means that we have a tendency to do the opposite of what's being spoken of. Now, let's think about how we got scripture. We got scripture because God in his infinite wisdom collected books that were written by different people, at different eras, at different times.

In order to bring full the fullness and the complete picture of who he is to humanity. So what Ezekiel is saying here is not the first time this was said in scriptures. It was said before God spoke to the same principle God spoke to Abraham.

And you will see it in the New Testament where people start complaining and murmuring and grumbling and whenever God, we feel like God is not doing what we think He should be doing or when we think He should be doing it.

So because of that, we then tend to come up with ways to explain what is not happening or what is happening. In this case, the children of Israelite actually came up with a proverb to explain the lack of what they think God is not doing, or the visions that God gave that they think were not happening.

And all of us, we can fall prey to this. This is why it's in the scriptures. It's in the scriptures because God knew throughout humanity this is a thing that shall always be known about humanity.

Whenever I don't do some things in what they deem their times, or wherever something is slow to happen, Humanity is always going to respond this way. This is why we have these scriptures, to address all of humanity until His return.

Because we have a tendency of doing exactly what the children of Israelites are doing, especially in this passage of scripture. So God reiterates over and over again in this same passage.

That proverb that I'm not going to do what I said I'm going to do that has to cease. That proverb that says whenever I proclaim a thing or if I ever give you a vision you think it's not going to happen because either time because of either time.

Or because of lack of your faith that has to cease, why does he have to cease because I am God and whatever I say I'm going to do It's going to happen. I'm not going to change my mind. I'm not a man, I don't lie.

This is what I say is going to do, it is going to happen. Now, one of the problems that we run into as believers is sometimes we tell ourselves this vision or that word or this was from the Lord.

Then when it doesn't happen, we get mad and we think God is not fulfilling his word but one of the first things that we need to actually check was this actually from the Lord. If it was from the Lord then in his time it is going to happen and that's what he said and it is what it is.

And understanding how God functions helps us in how we relate with him through our faith. If he says if I am going to do this that's what it means he's going to do it.

Now there are times where God might have to skip us because of our own disbelief or whatever it is. Case study is the children of Israelite when he told them, I want you to go and get into the Promised Land.

The Promised Land was given to them. The reason they did not receive the Promised Land in the time frame in which God wanted them to receive is not because God delayed it, it's because of their unbelief.

Hence, they had to spend another extra 40 years in the desert. But it doesn't mean that vision was not coming to pass. It meant that it was going to come to pass whenever our faith or whoever their faith relates to what He is saying, or their faith aligns to what God is saying.

So the key thing for us is to make sure that our faith aligns to what God is saying. Not doubt, not questioning. not procrastination not thinking that ah we're not sure our faith has to align to what God is saying.

Not for him to fulfill what he needs to do because God is still going to fulfill it anyway but for us to enjoy the privilege that he spoke to us about certain things and then it will happen in our time.

The children of Israel that left Egypt did not enjoy the Promised Land because their faith did not align to what God has spoken. But it doesn't mean God was not going to fulfill it. It just meant that you guys are not going to enjoy the privileges that were offered to you because of your unbelief.

So every time in any time that God speaks something and we don't receive it and then align our faith with that which he is speaking, it means that we are just not going to enjoy the privileges of what he is speaking to us.

Rather, he might have to just wait for another people who desire to align their faith to that what he is saying. So, in this passage of scriptures, he is reiterating, not for the purposes of him doing what he's going to do, because he's going to do it anyway.

He's reiterating the same thing to these people, because he wants their faith to align to what he is saying. Not because he's not going to fulfill it. He's going to fulfill it. But I want you to enjoy the privileges of what I'm saying, if your faith aligns to what I'm telling you.

That's why I say, No more in this house shall you continue with this proverb. In other words, do not speak against your own faith. It's unbelievable how we can believe that God is going to do something, but then our words go against that which God has said He is going to do.

And sometimes we do it unknowingly so the idea that God is pushing in this book of Ezekiel is that when I say a thing I need your faith to align to that which I am saying and do not speak or do not come up with proverbs against that which I am proclaiming.

Because if you do It just means you are not going to enjoy that which I want you to enjoy. I might have to wait for a people who are willing to align their faith. Again, Moses sends 12 into the Promised Land.

Go and see what this land is about. God has already given it to us. 12 went, 10 came back with a bad report. Says, Well, I don't think we can do it. The other two says, Yeah, we can. And they formed their own proverb about not entering in.

Says, I don't think we can do it. Even though God says, yeah, this is what it is. You have to go to the Promised Land, youu have to again enter in. But because of the prophets they created, God then says, well, sorry, you're going to have to spend 40 years here until everybody's dead, so that you don't enjoy the privilege.

Now, could God have just sent them in on that day? Yeah, he could have, because he has all authority and all power to do it. But the principle behind it is that I can let you enjoy the privileges of having faith if you don't exercise the faith.

I've told you this is yours. But if you don't exercise the faith and belief that what I've given you is yours, then it simply means you are just not going to enjoy that which I have given you.

But it doesn't mean that's not going to take place. It's going to take place without you. I wonder how many things God has spoken to us that we never enjoyed just because of our unbelief.

It's so amazing you know when I think about or when I think about the things my father used to say to me that he believed that the Lord said to him years ago before when he was a young man.

And then I I'm just realizing that some of those things he never enjoyed them. I enjoyed them. I'll give you a good example. Thank you, Lord, for reminding me this. So my father's desire was to go and study abroad when he was a young man.

He wanted to live in England. He wanted to live all over the world. But growing up, one of the things that he used to repeat over and over again was that he was unlucky. That he was just so unlucky, born in the way he was born.

In that good things will never happen to him, even though he wanted to do those things. Even though the Lord spoke to him and said, yeah, I want you to go and live abroad and study abroad and do all these things.

But he just never aligned his faith to his words so every proverb, in fact, I can say he formulated a proverb that, man, I'm so unlucky. I was born unlucky. I don't think I deserve good things because of the way I was born.

And it became a thing. Hence, he never enjoyed that which God had placed again to experience. Now, I am doing exactly that which he used to tell me he wanted to do. And it just meant that that word was true, but he just never aligned his faith to that word.

So I am now enjoying on his behalf, the things he should have enjoyed in his life. Why? Because of unbelief. Now, I want you to think about this passage of scriptures, this passage of scripture here, that they actually formulated a proverb to go against their faith.

They formulated a proverb, that yeah God is just never going to do it. Yeah, He always takes His time and every vision always fails. Now, is this what they wanted or they wanted the opposite of that?

They wanted the opposite of that. But it's just that their mouth was always in the way of what God was trying to do. So, we want to make sure that our faith aligns to what God is saying all the time.

In other words, do not speak against your own faith. Because we all know God can do whatever He wants when He wants to do it. We know that His word will never fall to the ground. You know that His word is Yey and Amen.

We know that His word will go and accomplish what He says He's going to accomplish. We know that God is not going to change his mind. We know that God is going to do what he says he's going to do.

He is constantly looking for people he can work with, whose faith aligns to what he is saying, that's all. Can your faith align to what he is saying? Can your mouth Can the words that come out of your mouth aligns to what God is saying?

Now, I've met people who are so quick to say words that go against what they actually believe because they're just looking for somebody to say, that's not true. You know that you can do it.

And I always say, why don't you just look for encouragement without you saying the negative in the first place so that you can just get the encouragement you need. Rather than to somebody to say, nah, you know what, you're going to do it.

So, I want all of us to make sure that our faith and the words that come out of our mouth aligns to what God is saying. In other words, speak what God is speaking and let your faith follow. what his words are.

Don't speak against your own will. Don't speak against your own interests. Don't formulate proverbs that are negative. I don't think God is going to do it. You know he's going to do it. But now that you've said that, he's just not going to do it without you.

He's going to find and wait for the two that went into the promise and say, surely we can do it and when the time comes, you might just have to do it with another person. Remember, we created time, not God.

Hours and days belongs to us. It doesn't belong to Him. So what we did is time to us is not time to Him. So there's no prolonging anything in God, there's just either it happens or either it happens.

That's all that is there in Him. But if He has to do it without you because of your unbelief, and this is how I know guys, there's a scripture for this. He that comes to God must come believing that He is and He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.

So God rewards people that are constantly seeking and hungry after what He says and are also aligning their faith to what He is saying. Why would He reward us if our words do not meet that which He is saying.

Or if our faith does not align that which he is saying. Then there will be no need of faith anyway if he's just going to do it just because even in spite of our faith not so brothers and sisters let's work let's work towards aligning our words aligning our faith to what God is saying.

If God shows you a vision, if God tells you something, best believe it and best say it in spite of the challenges, in spite of the things that you experience or the pushback you might get. He is sovereign, he doesn't need any counsel, he's never late, he's always on time.

He does all things right when he chooses to do them. He is not moved by your emotions or my emotions. It doesn't mean that when we cry harder, he then listens. He just listens whether we cry or not.

He just does whether we are there or not. The question is, will he do it with us or will he have to wait for another person to do it with him? I want him to do it with you and me, because our faith and our mouth aligns with every word that comes out of him.

Let's not create proverbs that work against our own interests. In other words, watch the words that come out of your mouth concerning to which God is speaking to you and to what he desires to do. Let us pray.

Father, we thank you for your goodness, your mercy towards us. We thank you for all that you're doing in our lives. And I pray, Lord, that as we go throughout this day, may the words of our mouth, the meditation of our heart be acceptable unto you.

Help our tongue, help our minds, so that they can stay and remain aligned to that which you are speaking. We thank you for your sovereign authority that governs all of humanity. We thank you, Lord, that we can rest in you, knowing that your words are Yey and Amen.

They are never going to change. It is what it is. Thus says the Lord. Listen and listen because this is God speaking. And I pray, Lord, that may we be quick to do that which you call us to do.

Strengthen our faith. Strengthen our desire and our need to align ourselves with you. I pray, Lord, that in these remaining weeks of this year, as we desire to grow, to change, to be used by you, continue to help us in our unbelief.

May you strengthen our minds so that we can be strong in the power of your mighty. Pray Lord, that as, we grow in you, elevate us, broaden our shoulders so that we can receive more and give more.

Thank you, Lord, for this season we are entering in. May you remind us of what's important. May you remind us of what we need to share with others. And I pray, Lord, for inspiration to rest upon all of us, so that we can be used by you.

But above all else, I pray that you help our unbelief. Help us to tame our tongues so that we don't create proverbs that work against us. Thank you for your grace and thank you for purpose.

Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit that counsels and walks with us. So as we go into this day, help us to do your will in the earth as it is in heaven. Lead us not into temptation, continue to deliver us from the evil one.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, Amen. Brothers and sisters, I want you to have an incredible, phenomenal day, filled with great confessions about who God is and what He is doing.

Repeat what He says and let your faith align to every vision and every word that He speaks to you about. May the Lord bless you. May the Lord bless your children, your grandchildren. May He protect them from harm and danger, seen or unseen.

May the works of your hands be recognized by others. May you have favor with angels and men and may you continue to plant the heavens and establish the kingdom of God in the earth so that somebody somewhere gets to believe in as much as you also believe.

I love you dearly and may we all have an incredible phenomenal Thursday. Tomorrow is Friday and it's prayer day so do not forget to submit your prayer request, and we need new ones, and I'm sure you have challenges that you're dealing with.

Make sure that we are congregating together in prayer so that we strengthen one another through the cause and the challenges that we face as human beings. Let's all go out there and have an incredible phenomenal day.
