"Waiting On The Holy Spirit - Getting Our Hearts Ready for Pentecost"
"Isaiah 30:1 - Woe To The Obstinate Nation"
Good morning. Good morning, brothers and sisters, this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. We are crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, we'll leave not yet us, but Christ lives by faith in us. His word dwells in us richly.
We are able to say we are blessed, we are healed, we are set free. Sickness cannot dwell in us. The number of our days you will fulfill. Sin will not dominate us because the seed of God's word lives in us, we believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and on the third day, he was resurrected.
So that you and I, now we can have this abundant life and the victory that God has provided. So we believe that no weapon formed against us shall prosper because of the power and authority that carries over humanity.
We, as the redeemed of the Lord, we stand here rejoicing and acknowledging. That you are in us and we are in you, that we can ask anything from you and God you so quick to do it because you love us dearly.
We thank you for the privilege of being called children of the most high and our desire, Lord is to please you. I know in our efforts sometimes we make mistakes. Sometimes we just stray away, but God, we are so quick to ask for forgiveness knowing that nothing can ever separate us from the love of God.
So, Father, as we stand here, as we look at scriptures this morning, as we commune with him this morning. We consider it a privilege and an honor.
That you will indulge us, that you send your spirit to be part of everything that we do, as long as we are acknowledging so this morning, we acknowledge you Holy Spirit.
For all that you have taught us and what you still teaching us, and we thank you for the privilege to have the counsel and fellowship and communion and guidance of the spirit of our Father.
So we bless you this morning and we honor you for all that you have done and what you're still going to do. We pray this prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen. Well, today we are Isaiah 30:1.
Today is more of a warning, brothers and sisters, when you see a warning in the scriptures. There's a tendency to go negative. That from here onwards, every time we see a warning in the scripture. I want us to consider it as God's love for humanity.
We want our children to not touch the stove because we love them. We want our children to not do certain things because we want to protect them.
We want to protect them because we love them dearly and we don't want them to be in any kind of situation that will cause any problems or challenges for them.
So we warn them and it's so amazing when I warn my children that they're almost going to get mad at me. Almost kind of like man Dad, you just you're just talking here again. But what they don't see or understand is the love behind the warning.
So here in Isaiah 30 God warns us. He warns us of what happens. When we don't do things the way he has set it up for us to do. So let's come and just do a little recap for Monday.
So Monday the spirit of the Lord is upon you. So that you can prophecy. You can't give a prophetic word without the spirit of the Lord.
And I also would like to suggest that it's impossible to actually hear the spirit of a prophetic world without you being in the spirit too. Because the spirit communicates with this spirit.
On Tuesday anointing oil anointing is so important. Because it breaks yokes and why do we need anointing? Because we all have yokes that we're trying to deal with and without anointing, it's hard for us to break yokes.
We're not saying God can't do anything. God can do anything anywhere, anytime. But in order to break yokes it's impossible that I'm going to be present and we talked about getting anointed.
Anointing oil, the act of anointing a person is a confirmation of what the spirit is already doing inside the person. Then Wednesday create in me a clean heart O our Lord and renew steadfast spirit within me.
Don't cast me away from your presence. Why? Because that's what Adam and Eve went through. God cast them away from his presence. And we know what happened without God's presence in the garden.
Life became difficult and challenging without his presence. Then yesterday we talked about where can we go with this week of the Lord is not that all humanity is existing at God's pleasure and generosity of giving us his breath to breathe, to survive, to be alive.
When God takes his breath away person dies. Now today we have seen the generosity of God in according us the right to live because of the breath that he has put inside of us. Now in Isaiah 30:1 says war to the rebellious children.
Your children that make mistakes, not children you know then, sometimes straightaway. No war to people who choose to rebel against God. Will make a concerted effort and a decision that they are going to go against what God says.
The scripture is layered with principles, laws, statutes to govern and to guide humanity. And they are people would deliberately choose to not go or to not do anything that the statutes or the values represent.
They deliberately, deliberately choose to be rebellious, and the scripture is saying to war to the rebellious children sayeth the Lord. And what do they do? Who would take counsel but not of me.
So in other words when you become rebellious you take counsel not from the Lord. From somewhere else and that's somewhere else is definitely Satan. Now it is important to understand that as much as God is speaking, Satan is also speaking.
You have heard me do a teaching on understanding what the voice of God is. Said his voice and your voice. And we have saved that God always speaks first. Because he knows all things, he reveals all things.
He knows today tomorrow is the 1st and the last day Alpha and the Omega. He knows the end from the last the back way from the front way. He knows it all.
So God always have the privilege to speak first. Satan, because he has nothing to offer, he only speaks after God speaks to contradict what the word of God is.
Whether you had your spirit say something, whether you had his spirit say something, or whether you heard Scripture say something, he comes right behind and contradict that and the last voice you hear is your voice. Trying to make sense of the two.
Now when we met or when we choose to take counsel of that second voice. And we doing so deliberately not me, secondly, but deliberately. It says war unto you. Why and who devises plans but not of my spirit?
In other words, if you are devising a plan through the Devil War unto you. So in simple terms let's put it this way. Everything that we do, we should seek the counsel of the Holy Spirit. Every planning that we do, we should always ask the Holy Spirit to guide us.
Otherwise, if the whole spirit does not guide you. You are going to end up taking counsel from the devil. And sometimes people do it deliberately. Because of the desire to please the flesh. Tell you a quick story here because it's important to understand.
Years ago, I won't say where. I was asked the question or an opinion to contribute to a color scheme. You know, color scheme of a conference. This was a church conference. And you know, I was just passing through, put in her room.
And they say, hey, we're trying to, we're doing this conference and we're trying to figure out we're looking for your opinion. Which color scheme do you think is the best? And right before me was magazines.
Worldly magazines from variety to this one, early and all kinds of magazines were over there, opened with so many different schemes. Colors says, oh, we think we can do this. We think we can do that.
What do you think Pastor Zee? And immediately I said, have you guys consulted with the Holy Spirit? And this group looked at me like I was lost. And to say the least, they just say Oh well I don't know if, Pastor Zee can understand, what's going on here.
And they continued on in their planning and I moved on. And by the way, I was visiting this particular place and on my way out of the building, this is what I was confronted with. And I can say that conference did not go as planned.
Because in our efforts. To do things it's so easy to redirect our efforts and please the flesh. Now the devil wants you to please your flesh that’s his desire. So he's going to throw plans and ideas counsel and we see it with Jesus, interaction with the devil in the during his prayer time.
If you are the son of God throw yourself and angels. Doesn't the word say angels will come and hold you and not fail. That was the counsel of the Devil and Jesus replied it is written you can’t test your God that way.
That's why the scripture says in Isaiah 30 there’s war. War to the rebellious children says the Lord. Who chooses to take counsel but not of me. And who devises plans but not of my spirit.
So in other words, do not ever devise a plan, not of God's spirit. Because doing so causes you to be rebellious. And being rebellious the Scripture says war unto you. My prayer is that in these weeks, we are preparing our hands for Pentecost.
That our relationship with the Holy Spirit grows just like any relationships most of you, if not all of you on this prayer call. We started somewhere with our relationship and through communication through counsel.
Through talking together through fellowship and sharing. Our relationship has grown. Where I trust you, you trust me. As far as I'm concerned nobody wakes up in the morning and calls everybody on this prayer call and say, hey, you better come on the prayer call. Are you coming on the prayer call? Well, we don't do that.
The reason we don't do that is because there is one spirit that is working in all of us, reminding us of the set time that we need to meet and have fellowship with God. Because the relationship that we have with one another is growing because of our fellowship. The same thing should be with the Holy Spirit.
The more counsel you get, the more fellowship you have with him. The more you obey what he says. The greater the level of relationship that you have with him it becomes easy to consult with him, it becomes easy to hear him speak, even in random places.
You don't expect him to speak. It's so amazing how in small little things, the Holy Spirit counsel his presence. Even in playing sports. I can't tell you how many times I'll be playing over there with over 40 basketball guys, you can hear him say don't shoot, shoot right here.
Do that pass over here. Look over here. It's like having a cheat sheet with you. Bring you to your counsel of the Holy Spirit. And I'm telling you, if we learn to practice the way of just listening to the Holy Spirit and executing.
Our lives would be extremely successful. And again, in small little things that you might not even think, the Holy Spirit is present. We don't want to be the children. That this creature says war to the rebellious children. Put your counsel not of God.
We want to take counsel of God all the time. Are we going to make mistakes? Yes. But as long as the mistakes we make are not deliberate. As long as we are not choosing to be rebellious and that's important.
So brothers and sisters as we go on into the weekend, as we continue with this series of studying our relationship with the Holy Spirit. I want us to grow in this particular area of receiving and taking control of the Holy Spirit.
I want this to be excellent in hearing from the Lord and in execution. This is what was lost in the garden. God saves men, does. There was no knowing of good and evil, there was just execution of God's counsel.
And I want us to get extremely better in hearing from the Holy Spirit and executing what he says. So that it will never be said of us war until the rebellious children would take counsel not of me. And once we have mastered it and I don't know if we can master it because God is always adding to.
But the greater we do, the greater we get better. And once we know, and once we have better, we should be able to teach our children to walk the same pathway that you and I are walking.
So as we go into the weekend may the Lord bless you, you and your family. You and your plans. You and your ideas. May the Lord bless your hands. May your hands build things that last forever. May the Lord bless your feet wherever you walk and thick ground. May the Lord bless you.
May the Lord bless your mouth, the scripture says we must speak life. May words that come out of your love life of your mouth stick life. May the Lord bless your tongue so that it builds through encouraging words. May the Lord bless your thoughts.
Let this mind that is in Christ be in you also. Whatever is noble may you think of these things. May thy Lord bless your eyes. To see remarkable things that transforms your life that expose you to the greatness of who God is.
May the Lord bless your ears, to hear words that inspire, encourage, that counsel, that adds to the values that you have. May the Lord creating you a clean heart, a pure spirit. So that his words can never fall to the ground. May the Lord bless your belly.
May out of its floor, rivers, not streams, rivers of living waters. That other people can drink from the river that's flowing out of you. That the Lord bless your shoulders to carry heavenly weights. May God broaden your shoulders.
So that the capacity in you to receive revelation, to receive strength is sitting on the government off your shoulders. May the Lord bless your head. So that thoughts, ideas that are 10 years, 20 years from now will come through you so that you can set yourself up for what God is doing 10 years from now.
May you receive revelation knowledge from the Lord to do what is right at all times. And the Lord bless you and your family and all that you guys represent, may God's spirit be so strong in your families that it will make this journey of salvation easy.
Not because life is not complex, but because we have the ear to hear the voice of the one who searches all things, even the deep things of God, and reveals them to us. May the Lord bless you coming in and you're goings.
May he give you patience to tolerate the challenges that are being thrown at us in this diabolic world. But above all else, may the Holy Spirit fill you up so that you can give a prophetic word. So that you can prophecy and encourage and inspire those who desperately need the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
When it's all said and done above all else. May God continue to give us Jesus. So we need him daily in everything that we do. I wish above all else that you would prosper. Be in good health even as our souls prosper.
We bless the Lord at all times and his words shall continually be in our mouth. O magnify the Lord with me and let us exhort his name forevermore. We seal this prayer knowing that God is with us, is walking with us, is counseling us.
And we open our eyes and our arms to receive these blessings as we're going into this day, may he lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen.
Brothers and sisters let’s have an incredible phenomena weekend and let's enjoy the fellowship and the counsel of the Holy Spirit. And let's keep our ears attentive and let's keep our let's keep our actions quick to do for the Lord is our victor.
May the Lord bless you, have an awesome Friday and have an awesome weekend. Love on your kids. Love on your neighbors, encourage somebody, inspire somebody, inspires somebody.
It's an instruction that God gave us to go into the far ends of the world and inspire somebody for salvation, Amen. We’ll see you on Sunday for Bible study and may the Lord bless.
