"Waiting On The Holy Spirit - Getting Our Hearts Ready for Pentecost"

"Isaiah 42:1-4 - The Servant Of The Lord "

Good morning, good morning, everybody. I hope you had a wonderful night and woke up refreshed, ready to go again today. Let us go to the Lord in prayer. This is the day the Lord has made. We are rejoicing in it, and we are glad in it.

We thank you for your grace. We thank you for your mercy that you give us every morning. As we gather on this prayer call it’s our desire to commune with you, to hear thou sayeth Lord and to get instruction and blessings for the day.

So Lord we know we have set this appointed time. And you then come and inspire us. So today we look with great anticipation as you continue Lord to enlighten our lives. So we can get over and fight all the challenges that we face.

Father I bless you for this community of believers that loves you dearly. Who seeks and searches you in order to hear Revelation that is necessary and needed. So that our lives continue to be exemplified.

So that others get the opportunity to interact with us, but also to hear you and to know you. So father, we thank you for all that you are doing and what you're still going to do. And wE bless you for blessings to come, and things that we have already accomplished.

Knowing Lord that you're setting a foundation for us for our future to see them. So we bless you and honor you this morning in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.

Today we are in Isaiah 42. If you are joining us since the month of May. We've been tracking the 50 days, sorry to day of Pentecost. And with a desire to celebrate to commemorate the day of Pentecost, which is June, which is Sunday, June 8th

When we plan to gather and fellowship with one another, but also inquire of the Holy Spirit. So we are preparing our hearts, our minds For that day of communion.

And standing in faith, believing that God would show up, touch our minds, touch our hearts and transform. The way we continue to interact with him. So we are tracking scriptures that strengthen that enlighten, that challenges.

That brings revelation to our relationship with the Holy Spirit. So today we are in Isaiah chapter 42:1-4. This is a prophetic word concerning what Jesus is and what he is going to do and to be.

Here is my servant whom I uphold. My chosen one, in whom I delight. I will put my spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations. God puts his spirit on Jesus so that he could bring justice to the nations.

He will not shout or cry out or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed you will not break and smothering work he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice.

He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on the earth. In his teaching, the islands will put their hope. In his teaching, the islands would put their hope in his faithfulness you will bring forth justice and you will not falter or be discouraged.

What I want us to pay close attention to is to the man Jesus that He doesn't have any kind of discouragement in him about what will happen. What he will see is interactions with humanity.

He will not forge or be discouraged at all. Now this is good to know. Because there are times when we are interacting Jesus and by the way, this is of the Holy Spirit too, because remember we received his spirit after Jesus ascended to heaven.

So there is no discouragement in the spirit. The Holy Spirit part of his characteristic traits is that he cannot be discouraged. He cannot. It's impossible that we can do anything that discourages the Holy Spirit.

Because he is a mandates to establish justice in the earth. So you and I there is nothing that we can do or will we ever do that discourages the spirit of God. Where you either say ah I'm tired of dealing with you because you are not getting it, I've got to move on.

There's absolutely nothing. He can't get discouraged until what he is pushing for is attained. In fact, God knows that's why he sent the Holy Spirit in the first place. Because he knew we don't have it together and we will never have it together.

So you give us the Holy Spirit through Jesus knowing fully well of the things that we are not capable to obtain or of the challenges, we are not able to overcome by ourselves. So discouragement does not exist in our relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Because he knows, because remember, he is the spirit that sets his all things. Even the deep things of God and reveals them to you and I. He is the spirit of wisdom. Which is the principal thing that supersedes, all things. Now think I want you to think about this here when we get discouraged.

Either we are trying to help another person or we are trying to talk to this child or we are trying to do something over here and stuff is not working out. We get discouraged.

Why do we get discourage? We get discouraged because we are unaware of what the outcomes will be. But then God says all things went together for those who are called according to his purpose.

So if all things work together, that means the Holy Spirit is aware of how things will work together. Hence it can't be discouraged because you know, even if you fought right now, all things will work together to those who are called according to his purpose.

So there is no discouragement in our interaction with the Holy Spirit. My goal in this coming month, leading all the way to the day of Pentecost. I desire for all of us to develop an incredible relationship with the Holy Spirit. To become fully aware of who he is.

And his interactions with us and what is characteristics are because there are times when the enemy trying to throw things at us. That, oh man, you are failing here. You're not doing too well over here.

So that in your own thinking, you get to a place where you think God must be discouraged by me. Or the Holy Spirit must be discouraged by what I am failing to do. Where the scripture says here in Isaiah in faithfulness he will bring forth justice.

You will not falter or be discouraged. Till he establishes justice on the earth. There are a lot of people in this country who are discouraged with our government some voted for, some did not, but they discouraged.

We get discouraged when what we thought was going to happen and it doesn't happen. That's how we get discourage but we are learning here that the Holy Spirit even thinks they don't work out. The way they should have worked out.

He doesn't get discouraged in his interactions with you and I. He still continues pushing for what is right because he knows all things will work together to them, who are called according to his purpose.

The Holy Spirit ascribes to the mind of God. He has a will that cannot be broken. He has a spirit of such is the gift of things and reveals them to you and I. He is all things. He’s not confused. He’s not trying to figure it out. He’s not trying to understand.

He is the spirit of understanding and wisdom. He's not waiting for things to fall in place. So he can, the fact that I want us to understand is if we really learn to sit in this, it would transform our relationship with him.

There's this notion sometimes that we can grab hold of the Holy Spirit and use him. No, we couldn't do that. In fact, it’s the other way round. He grabs hold of us and use us according to his will and purpose.

That's why he can't get discouraged. Because he knows he was sent because of our shortcomings. He was saying because God knows we needed his counsel and aid so that we can continue to be transformed and renewed.

So discouragement is not part of the conversation. Here, as the enemy comes and tries to touch you that God must be discouraged. He must not be pleased with you. Well that's why he sent Jesus because he wasn't pleased with humanity.

But after he sent Jesus and the Holy Spirit was poured out. That seems to be a question. Because he knew this is the human shortcomings, so I will send my spirit Jesus. I'll send Jesus after Jesus my spirit and then.

So brothers and sisters let us continue developing our relationship with the Holy Spirit. If we master you and I, if we master the relationship with the Holy Spirit I believe our lives can become less challenging.

If we pay close attention. If we turn our ear to him. If we get better of hearing, that's why this feature over and over again, it keeps saying this who ever has an ear, let him hear what the spirit of the Lord says, the Holy Spirit.

I want us to master this relationship with the Holy Spirit. Where we are in tune because we need him, we need his counsel. We need his wisdom. We need his understanding. We need his understanding.

We need his understanding and counsel and by the way, in this same chapter here, that's where we get I think if we go all the way down to 8. That's where we get one of our favorite sayings. I've heard these people quote this a lot.

I am the Lord that is my name. I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. So we are seeing the full scope of who God is.  So brothers and sisters as we continue on this journey.

Let's continue improving the way we interact with the Holy Spirit, because we have greater understanding of who he is and that's why he was sent. God did, Jesus did not tell this disciples to sit and wait there.

Until the Holy Spirit was sent because God knew without him it's impossible to carry out that which he had instructed us to do. The same thing still applies today. Without him, it's impossible to carry out what God has instructed you and I to do spiritually for this Kingdom.

Says before you get up and go preach this gospel before you go throughout this whole entire world. You have to wait for my spirit to be poured out. Because he's going to guide, he's going to console. And part of his characteristics is that he can't be discouraged by our failings and our shortcomings.

Because he knows all things. He knows you're going to make mistakes and he knows that's why he was sent. So brothers and sisters. Let us continue. Let us continue and let us continue to get better and better and better in our relationship with the Holy Spirit, we've mastered this.

Then we get to where we get to with ease because you hear and say walk this way. Let us pray. Father, we thank you for your goodness and your mercy towards us. We thank you for all that you're doing and what you're going to do.

I pray, Lord that as we continue to learn and to have greater understanding of the Holy Spirit and our interactions with you improves. Thank you, Lord, that you continue to open our ears because the word says whoever has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says.

Father I God bless you for all that you have done and what you're still going to do. As we continues to look towards June 8th. I pray, Lord, that you continue to strengthen our minds and our hearts may we raise our expectations.

Because we know Lord, we are believing in faith that on that particular day you'll pour out your spirit on us and some things will become clearer and some things will become easier to do because we know you have poured your spirit into us.

Help us as we continue on this journey. We need you more than ever because we are dealing with this treacherous terrain and there's so many things that are being thrown at us.

But God, I know with the aid of the Holy Spirit, will be able to navigate this world and all that is being thrown at us, we bless you and honor you for your goodness and your mercy. Now, as we go into this day.

May you bless all of us in our endeavors. May you bless the works of our hands. May you bless those we will we interact with today. May you bless our ideas. May you bless our workplaces, our colleagues, our friends and people that we fellowship with. May they find Christ through us.

May we exhibit the gifts of the spirit and the fruit of the spirit in us as others interact and drink from us. I pray, Lord that out of our value will flow rivers of living waters, and that you God you will be our victor in things that we see and the injustice that we see in our world.

So will bless you that you have sent your spirit to make sure that justice continues to prevail where the enemy seeks to continue to perpetuate injustice.

Bless our families, bless our children, bless marriages, bless extended families, bless our workplaces and we thank you for your goodness and your mercy. Now, as we go into this day lead us not into temptation, but continue to deliver us from the evil one.

For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen. Brothers and sisters, let's go on and have an incredible, phenomenal day.

And allow the Lord to continue teaching you his ways so that our relationship with the Holy Spirit continues to get better and better and better. Thank you for fellowship with us this morning, may the Lord bless you and we will see you tomorrow.
