"Waiting On The Holy Spirit - Getting Our Hearts Ready for Pentecost"

"Ezekiel 37:1-14 - The Dry Bones Live "

Good morning, good morning, good morning, everybody. I hope you had a wonderful evening. Slept good and you're up and ready for a beautiful day. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you for your goodness and your mercy.

We thank you for all that you are doing in the Earth. We thank you, Lord, for the many things that you have in store for us to do for those who love you. We know we are part of an incredible remnant throughout this entire world.

That is devoting their time to worshipping you to seek your face and Father, we thank you that we are part of the number. So as we gather in our own little window here, we are believing that we are in line with everything and everybody else throughout this entire world.

That are devoting time to worship to seek your face. So we thank you and we thank you for this massive Kingdom that we are part of. We bless your name and we honor you and so as we look into this word.

We pray, Lord, that you open our eyes and open our minds, give us wisdom, give us direction, and lighten us in some things so that we can live this life full of potential and full of authority, full of power that you have provided for us to live these lives that we possess.

So we bless you and we honor you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray Amen. Well, today we are in Ezekiel 37. You know sometimes you can hear something for a long time and until it becomes familiar.

That it could potentially lose its meaning or power because you have heard it too many times. And I can equate this to the miracle of birth. That giving birth to a person can you know is so familiar because it happens pretty much every single day. That we have taken it for granted.

How special and incredible it is until you can actually stop and cannot really think about it. This here is one of those stories. So in Ezekiel 37 can we look at it. Let’s look at Ezekiel 37:1. The hand of the Lord was on me and it brought me out of the out by this spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley.

It was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them. And I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley. Bones that with very dry. He asked me son of man, can these bones live? I said sovereign Lord you alone know.

Then he said to me, prophesied to these bonds and say to them dry bones hear the word of the Lord. This is what the sovereign Lord say to these bones. I will make breath enter you and you come to life.

I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin. I will put breath in you and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord. So I prophesied as I was commanded.

And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them. But there was no breath in them.

Then he said to me Prophesy to the breath. Prophesy son of men and say to it this is what the sovereign God says. Come breath from the four winds and breathe into this slain. That they may leave.

So I prophesied as he commanded me and breath entered them and they came to life. And stood up on their feet, a vast army. Then he said to me, son of man, these bones are the people of Israel.

They say our bones are dried up and our hope is gone. We are cut off therefore prophecy and say to them. This is what the sovereign Lord says, my people I'm going to open your graves and bring you up from them. I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you my people will know that I am the Lord.

When I open your graves and bring you from them. I will put my spirit in you and you will leave and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it declares the Lord.

I believe pretty much everybody has heard this story, has heard this prophetic word by Ezekiel. And so Ezekiel is envisioning a valley of dry bones and the Lord commands him to prophecy to the bones. To bring them back to life, restoring them to the land.

And these bones represent the nation of Israel. The greater metaphor it represents humanity. So we are seeing in these prophetic words how the spirit of God can be applied to situations that are dead, dead, dead, dead and bring things back to life.

So Ezekiel is going to take him back, is taken by the spirit of the Lord. So the spirit of God comes and takes in in Ezekiel. Spirit of God once it picks its Ezekiel and then takes him into a dry into a field.

A valid field of with dry bones. And God asks his in Ezekiel 37 a question in this vision. Can these bonds live? And his answer was only you know. When God instructs him and right there guys is one of our failures in life.

The answers that we give to the questions that God asked us. Most times our answer is not guided by faith. Usually stops God from doing what he desires to do, because without faith it's impossible to please God.

Knowing what the situation looks like can deter you from giving God the answer. That activates your faith. Because what is in Ezekiel seeing? It's dry bones and it's not just dry. It says dry dry twice, meaning this is a hopeless situation.

You can imagine seeing human skull because the moment you start seeing dry bones. It means that all the flesh is now rotten and nowhere to be seen. This is a hopeless situation but his response to God is just only, you know.

That's where the power is. Only you know. Then God instructs him after he gives that answer. Prophesy to the bonds declared God. And God will bring them back to life. And then the bones began to come together and then flesh followed.

Then God instructs in Ezekiel again, prophesy to the forewings. God's breath enters the bones and then brought them back to life. Brothers and sisters, this vision is really kind of teaching us one thing.

That hopeless situations are not when God is looking at hopeless situation, he is not looking at the same way that you and I is looking at it. This chapter here and verse is here is a powerful reminder of God's ability to restore, renew, and breathe life into any hopeless situation, any.

I can't imagine anything that could be worse than a valley full of dry bones. I mean, if you ever, if you ever see a valley full of dry bones. I mean, you can't imagine that life can come out of that, can't imagine.

But what God is showing in Ezekiel is that there is a correlation between prophetic words that are said through the spirit and to what God is capable of doing, that he can restore, renew and breathe life into any hopeless situation.

Even things that you might think this is impossible. Again, if you think about any of the issues and challenges that we all might be facing in this life. What could be hopeless? Like somebody's bones, that means they've already been dead for a while and is just a heap of bonds sitting right here.

There's no there's no hope but his answer is Lord only you know. And then after that he says I'll give you instructions based on the answer you gave me. Now I want you to prophesy to these wings and watch these dry bones come together.

Brothers and sisters, have been yesterday afternoon to pretty much this. I could say just these times that we've been looking at the Holy Spirit. Yesterday afternoon I was just sitting just just pondering about this power.

And I don't know if we can comprehend the force and the full measure of who the Holy Spirit is. That's why it's called the Spirit without measure that you can quantify who he is. A few weeks ago, we talked about how you can’t prophesy without the spirit.

Because it searches all things, even the deep things of God, and reveals them to us. In this prophetic way that Ezekiel is giving us in 14 in 37. We are seeing a glimpse of the Holy Spirit's ability and capabilities.

I mean I don't know if we can ever comprehend how powerful the Holy Spirit is. That any hopeless situation, any with some, any you can think of any hopeless situation you can think of he is capable of reviving it.

Given the things that you see or I think, yeah, that's impossible. He’s capable of reviving them, renewing. But you know what the holy spirit always need? Is somebody to agree with. Somebody who is willing to agree.

That his full measure in authority is able to bring any dead thing back to life or renew any situation. So when the scripture says my people perish because they lack knowledge.

I think what it simply means is that they are foundational truths about this Kingdom. The full measure and authority of what it possesses. That you and I ever really grasp in their full measure. I mean, this is powerful.

That this man is taken into a vision and the Lord is sowing him what is spirit can do. I believe the more we know, the greater level that he influences us. Remember we can't influence the Holy Spirit.

We don't grab hold of him and use him. It’s the other way he grabbed hold of us and uses us. So which means there has to be a level of agreement from our end to him in what he can do and when he chooses to do and when he wants to do it.

So the lesson for us today is that through God's spirit he is able to renew, to revive to make a new anything that any situation that looks hopeless. But in order for that to take place you and I, we have to recognize, agree for him to work with us.

Otherwise, we are going to just say this is this is too difficult. But his response is like God, I don't know only you know. Because we created all things. Then only after that is when God has given me instructions of what to do in order for this situation to be revived and the same thing applies to all of us.

Again, you always hear me say this. We are not as much as we are given scriptures as a reference point. Or as recorded stories of what took place when that took place we are also being shown what God is able to do, not so that we can say, wow, it's amazing.

But so that we can say I can do the same thing with you. If you choose to believe in as much as Ezekiel believed. These scriptures are a reference point to what God is able to do with ordinary people and ordinary men.

Showing us that he can do what he did back then, with anyone of us. Infact ladies and gentlemen the reality is that Ezekiel is experiencing something that is totally unique because the Holy Spirit was not poured out yet.

But is being shown the relationship that exists or that will exist with mankind after the Holy Spirit is poured out on the day of Pentecost. He's just giving us a glimpse. Now you and I have the privilege of living with this spirit with the Holy Spirit.

Every single moment of our existence without him going somewhere and coming back later, he's always right there. For Ezekiel, this was the visitation. For you and I is in dwelling so how much more can we believe now that we have the indwelling, not the visitation.

Again, we are being shown the spirit without measure at work to encourage and to inspire the man of God. We had seen destruction to the national of Israel.

Now what death situations are in our lives that looks hopeless. People and things that we think, yeah, there's no hope here. I desire for all of us to experience encounters where we see the Holy Spirit at work.

This is something that the Lord has accorded us to experience it pretty much every day because he has given us the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. These men and women in the Old Testament they had encounters and events that were far and in between.

You and I we have telecommunication with the spirit of God because Jesus died and he says my father is going to say in the promise of the whole for that will baptize you and immense you in him. Will always come bearing gifts as we go throughout this day.

Let me just remind you guys, the Holy Spirit is not confused. He knows all things. He is everything, he is the giver of life. That's very breadth and essence of who God, he’s never late, he’s always on time. He’s not trying to figure it out. He’s not trying to inquire of anything.

Always sure, on time, uncompromised, stands alone, spirit of God that was in Jesus, and now it's in you. Determined to do all that he can do without any opposition, all powerful. The same spirit that is holding the Antichrist at bay can you imagine that.

That the scripture says in Thessalonians 2 the Holy Spirit was holding the Antichrist at Bay. So that he won't have his field day before his time. And while he's doing that, he's also playing his role in believers lives, incredible force.

That's who he is, our job comes down to acknowledging him and to follow his counsel. To listen to him, to let him grab hold of us and uses us in accomplishing God's mandate in the earth until his return.

That's who he is. Spirit without measure. The scripture says he was present to heal them all. I know we’ve heard this story of Ezekiel. Let's really stop and ask ourselves what took place here.

So that we, you and I can have the full measure in understanding of what he is capable of doing. This spirit without measure our friends, our counsel, never leaves us nor forsake us. Indwells inside of us.

That's why Scripture says your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Ah that's powerful. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Oh, nobody should ever take that away from you. So let's work on this divine knowledge.

Let's put it right in front of us. So we can cherish what God has endowed us with. So as you go about your day today. I want you to think about this story and what God is trying to enlighten us to know about his ability and his capabilities and what his spirit is able to do for you and I.

Quick story, my father was on his deathbed for three months. Surviving on 8 breath a minute. He was laying there for three solid months, was resuscitated 3 times worst place situation and I have been praying for the longest.

That Lord, he will not die until he receives full salvation and his life is guaranteed of eternity. But in those three months where he was in pain and suffering, literally bones left because he wasn't eating. He was surviving on 8 breathes a minute.

It was literally, we started giving up. I remember a week before he died. I got on the phone and I asked them to put me on the speakerphone. I told him on that particular day as like you can, you can die now.

Because this pain is too much to bear and of course there was no response. Because he hadn't talked for three months. He was literally bones. I have a picture of him on my phone, literally bones.

And I remember the Lord reminded me you've been praying all your life that this man receives salvation. How dare you give up now? But this situation was hopeless, hopeless. If you if you could ever see his picture while he was laying on that floor.

But in December of 18, 18 December 2018. He rose up from that place and asked for a bath. And my nephew picked him up and put him in the tub bathed him and he started crying. He's a man who hasn't talked for three months. He opened, he finally opened his mouth.

He says I broke through, saw the Lord. Hadn’t him talked for three months. His skin and bones. He says I finally broke through and my nephew leads him into the prayer of salvation. His last words on the earth was Amen.

Can these dry bones live? Only God you know. Including the situations that you and I are looking at and thinking. How will this ever happen? Yes it will, only God knows. We are being shown by his spirit what he is capable of doing.

Let's embrace it. Let's walking it. Let's believe it and watched the Lord amaze all of us. So, Father, we thank you for your reminder of who you are and what your spirit can do. We stand acknowledging that your sovereign authority is all we desire.

So as we go into this day, strengthen us. Equip us with the right ways to agree with you. We bless you and we honor you. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen.

Brothers and sisters, we have the spirit of God in us. God's spirit is in us. Walk, believe in it and watch the Lord do what only he can do. May the Lord bless you. May we all have a wonderful day and may we hear him speak. We shall see you tomorrow.
