"Waiting On The Holy Spirit - Getting Our Hearts Ready for Pentecost"

"Ezekiel 36:26-28 - I Will Give You A New Heart And A New Spirit"

Good morning, Saints. They their trust in the Lord shall be as far as I am, which cannot be removed but abideth forever. As the mountains are rounded by Jerusalem, so the Lord is surrounded by his people from his fork and forever. Let us pray.

Father God, we thank you for waking us up this morning Father, God with a sound mind and the Peace of God. Father God, thank you that we thank you that we are trying to stay focused on your word.

I'm glad you have given us a brand new day and we thank you for this Lord. Father God, this day is wrapped with love Father, when we woke up this morning it was a brand new day. It looked like yesterday.

It looked like day before yesterday, even looked like last year, but it is a brand new, fresh day that you had given us. Father God you have given us a new mercies and we rejoice and be glad in this day and Father God, we started this day off praising you and worship in you.

Father God help us set our mind on pleasing you all day long. Let us always include others in our prayers Father. Let us leave no one our Father. Father God, just like you love us, you tell us to love us as Father God.

And we thank you, Father. We thank you that this is your message to us every day, love in Jesus name we pray. Now saints this morning, what I'm going to reflect on this Pentecost also. And you have been hearing this teaching ever since the day after Easter.

And so right now this day 16. And so I'm really teaching this and saying this over, but we already heard from pastor Zee, from Veronica and from Calvin. But again, this is in my spirit. And then when I get through with this part of Pentecost, then I'm going into my message, which is Ezekiel 36:26-28.

The feast of Pentecost occurred 50 days after Easter. It celebrates the descendant of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles in the upper room and Jerusalem is also regarded to as the birth of the church.

In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit comes upon the disciples on Pentecost Sunday to fulfill Jesus word that they will receive power from the Holy Spirit to glorify God name to all nations.

As a result, we the church and Body of Christ, are to bear witness to our nation through the power of the Holy Spirit, to glorify the name of God. So saints you see that we have a job to do. But we do every day is go to work.

It's not our full time job serving the Lord and being a mouthpiece for him is our job. And we are the church. We are the Church of the day, and the people should let the Holy Spirit lead and guide them every day.

Every day when we get up and we read the word and before we open the word, we should tell the Lord. Lord, lead me this day. Guide me this day, Father. Whatever you will have me to do, Father God.

I am willing and ready and we should be always ready to proclaim the word of God. We don't live it because we are living in a dying world. Even though people they are laughing, they are happy but a lot of them don’t know the Lord.

And we should be their mouthpiece for the Lord, telling them about the good news of Jesus Christ. And it's just not enough to go to church and to hear the word but when we leave the church, we should be so about testifying about Jesus. Christians celebrate Pentecost today to remember the gift of the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus said that he promised to provide comforter. Because Jesus knew that we need a comforter, he knew we needed somebody and that somebody is the Holy Spirit. And it was that moment on Pentecost that believers were empowered with the Holy Spirit.

Acts 4:31 it tells us after they prayed the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the words of God boldly. And it's one that's what we should be.

That's what I should be speaking the word of God boldly. So they're telling us we got to always commune with the Holy Spirit. God, he will lead us. He will help us. He will guide us. He will give us boldness to do his work, to do the work of the Lord.

And now my reflection this morning is on Ezekiel 36:26-28. And for more understanding, I'd rather read it than just teaching that I would say because it's self-explanatory but we are going to start.

I'm going to start with a verse unfolding it. So let me start at verse 18. Therefore, I pour out my fury in them for the blood that they shed upon the land and for their idols, where will they had defiled it.

So what we really reading this morning about the Israelites, how they were disobedient to God, they were very disobedient, and in this versus we going to hear 2 words that spoke volume to me and those two words are defiled and profane.

Defile Jesus taught in the Bible is uncleanness comes from the heart and his spirits, and evil thoughts, actions and words. And what truth defies a person the next word is profane, signifies something that is unholy.

Common are not sacred, often used to despise the act of violating something holy. And then we continue to read and I will scatter them among the herons. And they were dispersed through the countries according to their way and according to their doings I judge them.

And when they enter into the heathens, whether they went, they proclaimed my holy name. When they said to them, these are the people are the Lord and they are gone forth out of all, out of all his land. But I had pities for my holy name.

Which the house of Israel have profaned among the heathens, whether they went. Therefore, fail to the House of Israel. Thus, say the Lord God. I do not this for your sake or House of Israel, but for my holy name sake, which you have for fame among the heathens whether you win.

And I would sanctify my great name, which was profane among heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them. And the heavens shall know that I am the Lord said the Lord, go up.

But I shall be sanctified and used before their eyes. I would take you from among the heathens and yelling you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water upon you and you shall be clean from all your filthiness and from all your idols will I clean you.

A new heart also would I give you and a new spirit that I put within you and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh. And I'll give you in heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you and call you to walk in my statues, and you shall keep my judgments and do them.

And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your Fathers and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. And my teaching this morning, you gonna hear me repeat verses 2 and three times and it's really getting into my spirit. And as I was talking I really, I'm really teaching myself.

Because going back to Pentecost, just for a second after Easter, like, with a lot of people like with a lot of us, it was all over, you know, Jesus, he died and rose again. And we stopped there we didn’t think about what else he's ahead for us.

And someone to lead and guide us, he was but do we receive that like that. And so this morning, it's telling me so much again in my spirit. And this day I believe 16.

And so what you already hear, you're mostly going to hear it again, ok. And I'm going to start at verse 25. The only way is to conserve the Lord. He had to clean them up. He had to take them from among the heathens and pull them out of all the countries and bring them into their own countries.

This way God had to teach them and you know, a lot of time we leave our old playing ground. Don't go back there. You know, we have to drop our friends. We have to stop going to places if we want to hear from the Lord.

And so this is a good, a good verse. A good teaching then we just have to leave other peoples alone when they don't line up the word of God. If we're not going to teach them if we're not going to try to lead and guide them, we need to just leave them alone and ask the Holy Spirit to help us, to show us what to do and how to minister to them.

But the Israelite wicked behavior, they gave impressions that God was weak. You could say these people really, really was disobedient and God cannot allow that. He could not allow these insults.

In other words, they made God look bad and the Israelite has spoiled their country. They had not done but the Lord they told them to do, they was guilty of many sins, crimes and they had even killed people.

So in order for Israelites to worship the Lord, he had to change them completely. Let me read. Let me pick up again for my own verse this morning. But I will no, that's only 25. I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

And I will cleanse you. And so we, when I read that at the first time, I said. It would been years ago, off and on. You know, the Lords gonna clean these peoples up. Why? Because they were so disobedient and they made him look so bad.

You know, a lot of time we all think and say do I make the Lord? You know, I need to say to myself a lot of time. We should make our parents look good. And other than that we should make God look good. And then the Lord said, therefore failed to the house of Elijah.

Thus saith the Lord God, I do this not for your sake, O House of Israel. But by my holy name sake, which you have profaned among the heathen, whether you went so God had to make himself look good.

He didn't make this for the peoples. I'm sure he yes, he did in a way. But what he's saying they were so disobedient he had to clean them up in order to teach them. He couldn't teach them just like they was.

So he was doing this to for his sake and for the other peoples. One of them that they have spread just false about God. The Israelite will not learn how to worship the Lord on their own. God had to take them from among the heathens.

Last time, like I just said, we cannot worship the Lord. Praise the Lord to live a godly life on our own. We have to make up our mind to get in community to our Christian and learn of God and the Holy Spirit.

And when that boldness comes to us, and then we can go back to the heathens and teach them. The Lord said I will sanctify my great name. The name the main reason was to show that he was God. The nation will see that he isn’t like them.

They will understand that he is holy. He is not just a local God. He is the God all by himself. When God bought the children of Egypt to their own land.

He said I will sprinkle clean water on them and they would be clean. I would clean them from all their filthiness And from their idols. A new heart also would I give them a new spirit would I put within them.

I will take away the stony heart out of their flesh and I will give them a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within them and I will cause them to walk in my statues and keep my judgment and do them.

And they would be my people and I would be their God. During this time, the Holy Spirit had not come God changed the Israelites. But we have the Holy Spirit. God changed these peoples.

He did it for his namesake. But like we first said God gave us the Holy Spirit. When we read about Pentecost and when we go on into there and we talk about being holy, being bold. But we have the Holy Spirit to teach us now and the Holy spirits our helper.

He sanctifies us. He makes us more like Christ. He lead us and guide us. He speaks to us, he work in our lives, help us understand the Bible. The same things God did for the Israelites, the Holy Spirit will do for us, so we seek Saints that we are never alone.

We are never alone. We might think we are sometimes we want people to rally around us, but it's not about the peoples. Because all of us should be on the same page. It’s all about the Holy Spirit, all about what Jesus did.

But we know during this time Jesus wasn't there, but God changed these peoples. And so we don't have an excuse because we have Gods holy word. We can change, through Gods words.

Like I said, we can change through a community of Christians. And God, he don't make us. He gave these people a clean heart. He gave the people his put his spirit into these peoples.

Wouldn’t it be a wonderful thing if God did us like that, if we just come to God and say, Lord, just make me whole, make me clean, make me love people. But now he want us to come as well investors.

You want to come through his word and so we just have to remember that when we read the word of God, it talks to us, we find ourselves in there and then on down a few more verses. what read.

What I read to say then ye shall remember your own evil ways. And you're doing that was not good and shall love yourself in your own sight. But your iniquities, and for your abomination not for your sakes do I this.

Said the Lord God, be it known unto you, be ashamed and confounded by your own ways oh House of Israel. You know, when we ask God to forgive us, we've changed from our evil ways.

And we make a practice every morning, every day, you know, glory and thank God, thanking God. Asking the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. And we will follow so we have a way out. We have a way out and this way is open to everybody, not just a selected few, but to everybody.

And so this morning, we went from Pentecost, all the way over to Ezekiel. And what that's telling me, the Holy Spirit, and that's what, that's what's going to lead us and guide us every day.

We cannot lead and guide ourselves in the right way. We need guidance from the Holy Spirit, but he would tell us what's right and Saints the Lord will give, put his spirit in us. But everything has to be done through the Holy Spirit.

And so the Lord wanted these people to remember what they had did. Their evil ways, how they mistreated God, how they was disobedient. And so, like I said, we don't have to sink in our past sins.

Yes, we can kind of like visit them and just thank the Lord and Hallelujah gloryfy God that he has to live for us. But this morning reading this is that God always made a way go ahead. We're always helping his people.

Always, even when Moses delivered the children Israel from Egypt. God had a way to deal with them. God is always in control and let us not forget there, let us not forget there. And after and as we go through this Pentecost, God wasn't through when he died.

Jesus was excused wasn't through when he gave his life. He wasn't, though. He want us to be just like him. He want us to love. That's his commandment that he gave us love thee one another if I have loved you.

Love your neighbor as yourself and first of all, love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, mind, soul and strength. And so this morning, Father God, thank you that I gave myself a message and I thank you in this review.

I thank you that you pull something out of it, too. Let us end in prayer. Father God we thank you for your message. We thank you for your word. Father God we thank you that you are always Holy Father, that you never change and Father God, we thank you that you have that spirit of love.

When we go to you, we know that we are sitting in the spirit of love. A spirit of understanding. You understand us because we are humans, Father. God and we thank you. And as we go through this day, Father, God, we pray for others, Father God.

We pray for the world as a whole Father. Because everybody you're in this world will have to hear of, you will have to hear of Jesus and they can make up a sound mind their own mind. Father God we just thank you.

We thank you for your word every day, Father God. We thank you for giving us teachers, pastor ministers, bishops, we thank you for giving us students of the word. But when we need help sometime we have to go to them.

But most of all, we cannot fail because we have the Holy Spirit. We thank you, Father God, for loving us so much Father God, that you died for us, Father God. And we still shall learn from you, Father God, your words are learn of your Father. Learn of you.

We don't have time to learn everything and everything everybody else is doing. But we should learn of you. And we just thank you this morning, we actually, write in our day.

Write our day, every day, not just this day, because we are going to give you praise, we are going to give you worship, we are going to give you thanks. And we're going to ask you to lead and guide us today.

And we're going to ask you to give us the heart and mind and the spirit to do everything that you tell us to do. And give us that ear so we can hear the Holy Spirit, Father God, we thank you. We thank you for that you've blessed us, Father God.

Father, God all the others that don't know your word Father God, we pray, Father God they come and communion with you, Father. We thank you for this day in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
