The Qualities Of God As Revealed In His Names

"Elohim - God Creator Mighty And Strong"

A very good morning to you everybody. I pray that you had a wonderful night. Well rested arrested and you're up and ready for another beautiful day. Well, before we start, let us go to the Lord in prayer.  

This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law and we are crucified with Him nevertheless, we live. Not yet us, but Christ lives by faith in us. His word dwells in us richly. 

We are able to say we are blessed, we are healed, we are set free. Sickness cannot dwell in us. The number of our days, he willful, sin will not dominate us because the seed of God's word lives in us.  

We believe in all our heart that Jesus Christ came and died on the cross. So we now have this abundant life and the victory that He provides. So no weapon formed against us shall prosper and we are more than conquerors because of His great love.  

Greater is He that is in us and He that is in the world and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens. And we believe His word is a lamp unto our faith to make every step that we take easy and manageable because His word is constantly lighting our path.  

But also renewing us to become incredible phenomenal children of God. So Father, for that we are grateful and we are thankful. And we bless your holy name in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, We pray Amen. Well today we are looking at God's name Elohim. 

And if you are joining us for the first time in this month of June or the way into July, we are celebrating and worshiping God and devotion, devoting this morning time to just knowing, to looking into His names, who He is to us.  

And one reason why we are doing this, I think it's important for every person to know their Father. And God is our ultimate Father and we need to know Him, His qualities so that we as children, we can walk knowing what to expect from our Father. Knowing who He is and what He does so that you're in the inheritance.  

You are aware of it and you are sure of it because you know who the Father is. Because once you know who the Father is, that's why when Jesus meets the disciples, when He is in the process of choosing His 12th.  

And when he met the brothers Andrew, He says, come, he was telling his brothers, come, let us call, see this man, who will reveal to us, God the Father. Why do we need a revelation of who God, the Father is. 

It’s because we have a clear understanding and knowledge of who we are lifting and our hands to and who we are worshiping and who we are praying to. Knowing who you are praying to, in fact knowing who you are praying to can make a huge difference. 

This is why some religions that don't have a clear cut person to worship, they struggle in holding things together, because there is no authority above there that is clear cut. So we want to know Him, we want to know God and who He is to us.  

And then so today the name of God that we are looking to looking at is Elohim. Now Elohim simply means God, the Creator, mighty and strong, the Creator, God who created you and I.  

Now, brothers and sisters, this name of God Elohim is the second most name that appears in the scriptures behind Yahweh. Yahweh is used around 6,800 times in the scriptures.  

Right behind that is Elohim which is used around 2,600 times in our scriptures. Elohim defines God as the Creator. Now God is not one particular thing alone but He is all these things to the fullest. Not a little bit, not some parts. 

No, He is all these names to the fullest. So when we say He is a Creator, He is not just a Creator or a Creator a little bit. He is a Creator to the fullest and He is Yahweh to the fullest.  

Now, brothers and sisters, if you sometimes, in fact I am going to ask you today in your entire journey of today to just stop and just think about everything that you can see with your own eyes, especially things that are natural, that we are created by God.  

I mean, just think about how much sand is in our world? How much water is in our world? The fact that these oceans are laid the way they are laid, it shows an incredible phenomenal power of creation, of creative process with God.  

So God in His infinite wisdom He has created everything from trees. I mean, just think about everything that you can think of from fruit trees, grass. This is where He is and the same God created you and I and He knows everything that He is there to know about you.  

He knows the amount of hair that's on your head. He knows our thoughts, all of our thoughts. So knowing that He is a Creator, for us should strengthen the fact that we can never worry about anything knowing that He created everything else that we see.  

He is the one who will give human beings ideas based on what He wants to see in the accomplish in the world. He is the one that gives every single one of our thoughts so that we can do what He is moving humanity towards.  

So everything that was ever created is because God allowed Elohiim to be created. Some things He created Himself and some things through the inspiration, human beings through the inspiration of God, we created some things.  

But everything that was ever created that we see with our eyes was once an idea in somebody's head, that God made sure was put there in order to accomplish what He needed to be accomplished in years.  

But the greatest revelation that I want us to take away from today is that we are His and He created every single person and He owned us by right of creation. Now belonging to Jesus, we have to choose Him.  

But God owns every single one of us. He created every single one of us and to belong to Jesus, we have to choose Him because He chose us. So knowing this should empower us, should empower us that we worship God who creates, He is the Creator.  

That's what He does and He is constantly creating through people that the very incredible idea that I want us to work away is that the same God who created this incredible phenomenal complex that yet beautiful world with His mountain, ranges, rivers, waterfalls, trees, different types of trees.  

Isn't that amazing how certain trees are found in certain region only for whatever reason and purpose? I mean, that's unbelievable that in his incredible qualities, He decided how things should be laid and why they should be where they are.  

For example, there are trees that are found in the northern part of Congo that grow so tall and the people in this region literally leave all the rooftops of these trees. Why because the jungle floods?  

And that's incredible creative process that these people who were created by God in His image find themselves living in this region that because of how these region functions and the waterfall and the flooding that goes on in the jungle because of rain.  

These trees are found in this region to meet the needs of people who live in this region in the fact that they have to live on trees further way up from the ground. There's trees that are found in Zimbabwe, called Musasa tree.  

Musasa tree grows in the region where most trees in that region cannot be used for firewood because of the rain and the way they absorb water. But in the same region there's only one tree that can be used for firewood more than any other trees because it does not absorb water as much as all the other trees in this one particular region.  

And that tree, it takes hours to light but once it's lit, it literally the umber of from that tree can literally take five days if you leave it without even sanding it to keeping it going alive, just leaving it once it's on, it's on for the next five days.  

And then to think that God in his infinite wisdom in all these little intricate things that it puts in place. Just to say this for me is creative process and for us to enjoy that shows how incredibly powerful and intricate God is.  

And the same God created you and I, currently eight billion people, all of us different, unique gifts and talents, different brain cells, this is who we are worshipping. That's how incredibly powerful he is.  

So as we lift hands, as we pray, we should continue to pray in confidence. In fact, our confidence should be enhanced knowing the force of who he is. He can never fail. He does not make mistakes. He knows everything. He knows why it should be where it is.  

And he knows all things and where they are and why they should be. I have to satisfy his children you and I, Amen. So brothers and sisters, there's continued growing in the knowledge of who God is.  

The second most used name in the holy scriptures is Elohim behind Yahweh. To show us and to give us a greater understanding of how creatively powerful he is, God the Father Elohim.  

He is to you and I for he created you and I and the scripture says he created us in his image. You and I will remain in the image of God, we are in the God class, let us pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you for your goodness and your mercy.  

We thank you that we have a Father that we look to, who is not limited in his creative process. You furnish this world every square inch of it. Put mountain range in other regions and you're the same God who put the deserts in other regions.  

And everything working together, flowing together to create a world that is habitable for human beings. You are so intricate that you furnished everything one of us with incredible different cells.  

That in our infinite wisdom we can't explain. We can't explain some but some will still come trying to figure it all out. That's how incredible you are. And it's so comforting knowing that we worship a God who created everything that we see with our own natural eyes.  

So we bless you for being Elohim and we bless you for creating us in your own image. So God, as we look to you this morning, we are humbled and privileged of seeing and knowing all these things our eyes get to enjoy. Nature, rivers, animals to just show your divine power.  

So we thank you for this wisdom and knowledge and our desire is to grow in it, so that our spirits may grow as we continue to connect with you. Ultimately for our faith to be enhanced so we can believe even greater.  

So we honor you for your goodness and your mercy towards us. As we go throughout this day, bless us, remind us of our incredible you are as we look at things in nature, even as we look at each other, knowing that we are carbon copies of you, but incredibly different in our own right.  

But the amazing thing, Lord, is that everything is working together in the twine as complex as it looks. It's waking together out merely for the glory of our Lord.

So, Father bless us in our knowledge, bless us in our growth, bless us in wisdom and understanding and knowledge.  

We pray that today lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen. May you have a wonderful day brothers and sisters.
