Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises

"Genesis 8:20-22 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar "

A very good morning to everybody, a very good morning to everybody. I pray that you had a wonderful restful evening and night and you are up and ready for another day, another exciting day. Let us go to the Lord in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your goodness and your mercy towards us. We come before you, knowing Lord, that we have set aside this time to devote to you so that we can commune with your spirit and start our day the right way.

We pray, Lord, that as we go through this day, may you lead us in all things true in all things, right, in all things great and good. We desire to do your will in everything that we do. We pray, Lord, that as we continue to worship you, to come to you, that when you continue to reshape our priorities, our emotions, our desires, our behavior.

For, we want to be transformed and renewed constantly to the very image and essence of who Christ is. So Father this morning, as we look into your word, as we spend time in fellowship with you and the Holy Spirit.

We give you our hearts and our minds to govern so that our lives can be made easy because we are walking with you. We thank you for salvation and we thank you for love and we bless your name in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Brothers and sisters, yesterday we talked about Noah coming into the Ark because that's our place of refuge. And now that we are in our place of refuge the Scripture demands that once we are in the Ark.

Once we are in the church, once we are part of that, we do not stop during the very thing that brought us in the Ark in the first place we are called the righteousness of Christ because he is in us making us right.

In other words, right, standing with Christ does not mean we're not going to sin but it means that we are constantly seeking to be right with God and being right with him  constantly brings us back to this very place where we are seeking his presence where we are seeking his voice, where we are seeking his guidance.

It's important that we master living this life through God's leading voice. Human eyes and I mean spiritual eyes we were born blind that's why Jesus came and he says I am the light of the world.

In other words, you'll see better through me. And then the Scriptures continuously tells us that whoever has an ear, just, that statement alone tells us that. There's some people who don't have ears.

Because we can't say whoever has an ear. So that means some people do not have ears. That's what it actually says. So whoever has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says. Why do we need to hear what the spirit says?

We need to hear what the spirit says because we can only speak or we can only read gravitate that which we have heard. So thou says the Lord literally means you shall speak what you heard.

So that's why it's important to take heed and to hear what the Lord says. So today we are in Genesis 8:20-22, then Noah built an altar to the Lord using the Ark and then know our build and order to the Lord and took every clean animal and every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

And the Lord smelled a smooth, a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in his heart I will never again curse the ground for man's sake although the imagination of mans heart is evil from his youth.

So we get where and for us parents we get to understand why rebellion starts at youth is right there in Genesis 8 :20. So the Lord said in his heart I will never again curse the ground for men's sake.

Although the imagination of men's heart is evil from his youth. So from youth our imagination starts swaying away towards evil. Nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

While the earth remains some seed time and harvest cold and heat, winter and summer and day and night shall never cease. The reason the Lord is telling Noah why he is never ever again going to destroy the Earth through water and flooding or cursing is because Noah had offered, had built an altar and offered burnt offering.

In other words, no one had worshipped God. So worshipping God causes God to be soothed and when God is soothed his decisions concerning humanity becomes love. He changed his mind from destroying the earth the way he did.

Because a man who was righteous Noah in his generation, he built an altar and he worshipped God and God received the sweet aroma that came from Noah's worship and offering.

And his decision regarding mankind was forever changed. To show us the importance of continuously worshipping God and offering him clean righteousness. Now Noah took animals clean animals.

We don't have to take clean animals anymore. The scripture says offer your bodies as a living sacrifice wholly and acceptable, it's your reasonable form of worship. Our offering, the more we live righteous lives, the more we are in right standing with Christ.

The greater the level of worship that will give as the altar because we are not offering God that which is tainted, we are offering God that which is clean, and when God receives clean worship it soothes him and as a result is decisions concerning us are softened.

It's all based out of love. The scripture talks about God being vengeful, it feels also talks about him being a judge and the scripture talks us about him being jealous of, of us giving our worship to another.

So which means God has it in him to pass judgement whenever he desires to. That we are being shown here that he is saying to us the greater the level of worship that you offer at the altar the more clean, the more right standing you are with Christ.

Ultimately, the better our lives will be in as it pertains to our relationship with him. So once Noah was in the Ark yesterday, he says come into the Ark. You and your family and find safety.

Once he was in the Ark Noah, build and build an altar and he worshipped God and God changed his mind pertaining to humanity and made decisions that were favorable to us, but never again will I destroy the world in this manner because of what Noah did, the offering, the worship that he gave at the altar.

I think about two years ago we talked about building altars. A place of worship that we have to be always be in a habit of building in us in our home, a place where we can offer worship to God.

This is why most times dining room tables are one of the most glorified places in families because we get to share and commune which brings closeness and also it's a form of coming together in fellowship and worshipping.

So the scripture is telling us that it's necessary once we are in the Ark, once we are part of this Kingdom, to continuously do things, that builds altars for God and us worshipping God. That is more important to worship God when you are in right standing with him.

I want you to think this I want you to think about this for a second. For those, I'm sure all of us, we have children or grandchildren. I would imagine if your relationship with your children or your child is always based on things they are doing wrong.

If every conversation is based on what just took place or what took place, hey, why did you do that? What happened yesterday when I was away? I heard you did ABC. If all your conversations are based on what took place that needs to be addressed.

That means you never get to a place in your relationship with your children or grandchildren where you can say, hey, what are you thinking of doing tomorrow? What are you thinking of doing next week, next year in college?

We never get there because we are always constantly addressing things that took place yesterday. So in other words, we are living in the past constantly borrowing time in the future to talk about what happened yesterday.

Now if we do that with God, if our communication or our existence or our interaction with God is always based on us going to repentance. Then I would certainly say it will be difficult for us to get a place where it says, God, I need a prophetic word for tomorrow, for next week, for next year.

Give me insight to what's coming because you never get there because there is constantly these needs to continue fixing issues or things so that we can be in right standing with God but Noah is a righteous man.

So God does not need to address or neither does Noah need to seek repentance for things that he did in the past. We can build moving forward because now I am in right standing with Christ.

So now as I build my altar, we can now look forward to what will become or what is coming. Why? Because I am in right standing with God. This is why it is important to be in right standing than repenting. Even though we have to repent. Even though it is necessary for us to retain, even though we are commanded to repent.

But it's much better if we are always in right standing with Christ, because then what we offer on the altar which is you or for your bodies s living sacrifice, holy and acceptable.

What we offer at the altar that brings a sweet aroma to God and his decisions pertaining to us becomes more favorable. The beauty of our times of you and I, what we get to enjoy what Noah did not enjoy.

We now have Christ who died for our sins. Took the brands of our iniquities so that we, you and I, we can constantly be in right standing with God through him that our relationship with Christ has to continuously be enhanced so that as he present us to the Father as wholly and acceptable as he advocates on our behalf.

We then remain in the place in which Noah was of offering clean, offering at the altar. So it is important to be in right standing with God all the time. Not sometimes, all the time. Because it gives us access to the throne of Grace, where we are able to offer clean worship clean prayers in our interactions with God and that brings aroma to God.

And his decisions pertaining to you and I becomes more favorable to us out of Noah's obedience, out of Noah's righteousness out, of Noah's way of living, out of no one's hearts. Out of that we get an everlasting promise to humanity.

Where God promise that I will never again curse the ground for men's sake. Not doing it even though he is imagination gears towards evil from youth. Because of what Noah did, because of Noah being a righteous man, because of him going into the Ark because of him offering clean.

Worship at the altar God made a promise to humanity that in spite of all your evil deeds, I will never again curse the ground. So if you really want to know why, we ask the question sometimes, why does God let people who are evil get away with things?

Well, it's because Noah offered clean offering and God says never again will I ever curse the ground in which men lives because of men's sinful nature. So I'm not doing it because of one man.

Now imagine what we can attain if we are in right standing with God. And at the altar we come before him with clean hands, pure hearts, pure spirit, right intentions that means what we offer to him will become a sweet aroma and that sweet aroma causes God in his decision making to be favorable to you and I.

So when we see this scripture here thus says the Lord. That we must, and we should remain in right standing with God. So that in our generation we can be found righteous before him inasmuch as Noah was found, righteous.

Again, the scripture says the return of Christ will just the times that we believe in the return of Christ, it will be just like the times of Noah. And the times of Noah. There was a lot of corruption, a lot of violence.

People did what they want which shows us that we are living in that era now. Because it is exactly as described in the scriptures. But now, on the other hand no one is righteous in the midst of all that which caused God to change and shift some things because of one man.

You and I, you and I will now have the advantage of having Christ. That if we are living in that era so it is a command for you and I to be in right standing inasmuch as Noah was in right standing with God.

And let us continue once in the Ark, let us continue to offer clean. To build altars and build and he offer clean worship. Clean prayer, good intentions, Amen. Let us pray.

Dear Heavenly Father we thank you, we thank you, Lord, that your word is the lamp to thy feet. That you help us to step in the right direction through your word. Father help us in our quest to be in right standing with you. We know we don't have the wisdom to deal with our sinful nature and hence you send Christ.

I pray, Lord that as we continue to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, as a reasonable form of worship. Help us in our efforts to be in right standing, to be clean, clean hands, pure hearts, pure intentions in everything that we do.

So that our offering is constantly being accepted and received as a sweet aroma by you. Father, we have many requests and things that we desire for you to do for us, from our children to business deals, to building churches, too many to mention.

I pray Lord, that may our hearts above everything else carry the right intentions so that what we offer or at the altar will be clean before you. So that you can receive that which we are offering.

So that your decisions pertaining to us are favorable. We thank you for your holy name. Thank you for sending Christ who is now the hope of glory in us. We thank you for igniting our hearts towards truth and we thank you, Lord for all that you have placed in our hearts to do and to accomplish. You did it by yourself.

Even though we gravitate towards sin according to the Scriptures, is still but yet let us live and you're still yet Lord give us grace and forgiveness of sins so that we can remain in right standing with you.

We thank you for your patience with us and we thank you for giving us divine interventions in areas that we need divine intervention. Father, we want to continue to submit ourselves before you knowing that in you we find wisdom, we find hope, we find grace, we find power, we find strength.

We find courage, we find boldness, determination, healing from sicknesses and diseases, healing from emotional entanglements. Healing from our past. We ask Lord that as you continue to heal us may you give us insight to what's coming.

So we can prepare ourselves so we can be ready for that which he desired to do through and in us. Open doors for us where they seem shut and we will be forever grateful for all that you have done and what you're still going to do.

Father I pray for every family represented here, the blessings continue to flow. May you continue to give us wisdom to help us in the times of need. To make right judgments and right decisions pertaining to things.

May give us insight into what our children will be so that we can prepare and make them ready for that, which we know is coming. Scripture says train up a child in the way they should go so that when they are old they will not depart from it.

So we know as parents it's our responsibility to know which way they should go. So I pray that you give us insight in our minds, in our eyes, to know where you the way they should go so that we can train them up the right way. Bless husbands, bless wives, bless children. Bless extended family, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Everybody accounted for, grandchildren bless them mightily in the name of Jesus. I pray for seniors amongst us, continue to strengthen them. I pray Lord that you give them strong bodies.

And we push at bay the enemy that seeks to come and destabilize their lives after all they have done. So we pray, Lord, that they are strong in the power of your mighty. Give them wisdom to do and to understand the things that you have called them to do in the name of Jesus.

I pray for our seniors to have opportunities to Minister to teach their grandkids, things that are right, things that shall will become sound doctrine. Bless all seniors amongst us in the name of Jesus.

Now I pray, Lord, that as we go through all this day may you bless us and the works of our hands and the works that that you send us to do in this earth. We pray for wisdom, we pray for wisdom.

So we know we are dealing with so many difficult things in our world. But Father as we build altars help us to be in right standing with you. Now lead us not into temptation, deliver us from the evil one, for thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever and eve, Amen.

Brothers and sisters let's continue to be in right standing with God and let's continue to offer clean worship, pure hearts clean hands, clean eyes so that we can hear the Lord speak to us clearly. And may the Lord bless you and the Lord, bless your children, your family and we will see you tomorrow and do not forget, tomorrow is Friday.

We're going to be praying for needs, so if you have any prayer request, any prayer needs, if you want to throw in your children in there, whatever it is, throw it in there so tomorrow we can spend time praying to God and offering prayers to for them on their behalf. We will see you tomorrow. Have an awesome, wonderful Thursday.
