Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises

"Genesis 7:1 Then the Lord said to Noah, "Come into the Ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation"

A good morning, a good morning to everybody. I hope you had a wonderful night, you're well rested. Let us pray. Father we thank you for your kindness and for your goodness. We thank you for waking up this morning and we thank you that we're in good health.  

We thank you, Lord, that our minds and our faculties are functioning properly and we thank you, Lord, that you have an agenda for us today and we thank you for strength, wisdom, courage to fulfill everything that we have on our plate to do.  

And Father, we appreciate that we work with you and that you are in us. That your name is a strong tower we the righteous we run into it and find safety. So we bless your holy name. So Father as we give you this time to devote our hearts and our minds to you, speak to us. Give us the word encourage us, inspire us.  

So that we can continue working with you and we pray this prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen. Brothers and sisters today we are in Genesis 7 and we're going to read this portion of Scripture. 

But we're going to go back to six and kind of look at some things. Genesis 7:1says this, Then the Lord said to Noah oh, by the way in this next month, we are looking at portions of scriptures.  

Where we see the Lord speak to humanity. In other words thus says the Lord. So in Genesis 7:1 it says, then the Lord said to Noah this is God speaking to Noah. Come into the Ark. You and all your household because I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.  

Come into the Ark because I have seen that you are righteous in this generation. Now, brothers and sisters in order to really kind of understand what's happening here, let's read Genesis 6:9  

It says this is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was found right. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. He walked faithfully with God.  

Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And now we get the state of what the earth looked like or what was going on. Then it says now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, was full of violence.  

God saw how corrupt the Earth had become for all the people of the Earth had corrupted their ways. So God said to Noah, I'm going to put an end to all people of the earth it’s filled with violence because of them.  

I'm surely going to destroy both them and the earth. So make yourself an arc of cypress wood. The what we see in this little portion of Scripture is exactly what we are experiencing. 

In fact brothers and sisters The scripture tells us That the coming of the Lord is going to be Just like as it was in the days of Noah. Says when the before the Lord returns, the whole world is going to be just like as it was in the days of Noah, corrupt, full of violence and everybody corrupted in their ways.  

That in the midst of all this that was taking place there Noah was found righteous. And after he was found righteous God then says Noah come into the Ark. You and your family for you have been found righteous before me. Come into the Ark you and your family because you have been found righteous.  

Now in the context in which we are examining Noah we have to understand that even though Noah was found righteous. It did not mean that he did not sin because you see, when no one gets drunk and it causes one of his sons to stumble.  

In the context in which Noah is being exemplified here is that Noah was found in right standing with God. If you read, I think in second Peter it talks about how Noah preached righteousness, that he preached it.  

So in order for us, in order for God to continuously speak to us we have to be righteous in other words we have to be in right standing with him. Now it's impossible knowing the nature of humanity to do this in our own way. 

Otherwise, there will be no reason for Jesus to come in the first place. That's why we are called the righteousness of Christ because it is Jesus who died on the cross and made us right with God.  

The standard of perfection that is demanded by God is impossible for any man to attain it or to do it in their own strength. We can only do it through Christ who strengthen us. So when God found no one righteous in this wicked generation.  

The reward was that come you and your family, go find safety in the Ark. The scripture also tells us that the effectual faith and prayer of the righteous man avail eth much. We want to be righteous and if God was going to make us righteous so that we can enter the arc and find safety.  

You and I God wants us to be in the church that's our Ark. Noah's Ark was to make a wooden boat so that he would not be destroyed or perish. Our Ark is the church.  

So God wants to find us in the church. That's where we are going to find safety, the church. If you are righteous come into the church, you and your family. That's the key phrases in this passage of scripture, come you and your family.  

So righteousness demands that we and our family, we enter the Ark and find safety. Being right standing, being in right standing with God does not mean we are exonerated from the possibility of sin. 

The opposite of righteousness is not sin, the opposite of righteousness is wickedness. The earth was wicked and Noah was found in right standing in other words, he was morally trying to relive right in a wicked environment and in his desire and in his efforts to live right. 

God then exemplified him and exonerated him from what was the pending doom of the Earth. And the man was asked to now enter the arc and seven other people. So that he can be preserved from the impending doom. Our Ark is the church.  

We have found right or we have found to be in right standing with God because of the righteousness of Christ. Yesterday, later in the day I was thinking about how Christ descended into hell and I realized that he did it so that you and I don't have to experience it. 

So that we can be found in right standing with God. So that we can enter into our Ark, which is the church so that we can be preserved. Why to the impending doom. How do we know this?  

Because this picture tells us that the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is going to be in line to what was taking place in the days of Noah and the scriptures we have just read describes exactly what is going on in our world, there is corruption wickedness and there is violence. 

So we are in a season and in a time that we have to be in right standing with the Lord and being in right standing with the Lord is running to Christ so he can make us right with him. Our righteousness is different from Noah's, because no one had to do it in his own accord.  

Ours, we can do it in our own accord. We have to do it with the authority that Jesus had and what he went through on the cross and then we are called the righteousness of Christ so that we can enter into the church, into the congregation of the Might.  

So that we can be preserved from or kept away from the things and the issues of this world. Brothers and sisters when I look at what's going on you realize everything that is being thrown at us by the devil, not people by the devil is to distract you and I from one thing.  

From being right, from being in right standing with the Lord. Because if you are not in right standing it's impossible to enter the Ark. So whatever the enemy is throwing now, he is desiring for you to not be in right standing with the Lord.  

Yesterday I saw a video of a pastor who was preaching last Sunday at a church and what he decided to do in that service is started showing the church just random headlines, a collection of headlines from this past week.  

From news to different sources, just plastering it on the screen for the whole entire congregation to see. And when he was done showing him, he says, this is what we are being bombarded with every single day.  

Because the goal is so that when you give your attention to the wickedness and corruption around us, it starts but surely starts to eradicate and chipping away to your soul. For just one particular reason so that your righteousness is affected.  

That's the devil's goal that your righteousness is affected because when your righteousness is affected, then it's impossible to enter the arc inasmuch as Noah entered the Ark. And Noah entered the Ark because he was found righteous.  

We will enter our Ark because we are found righteous but the enemy's desire is to distract you from the things that will cause you and I to be righteous with the Lord so that we can enter into our place of safety.  

Now what's interesting in this passage of Scripture it was just not Noah. It was Noah and family. And shall it be you and your family, everybody accounted for. Nieces, nephews children everybody enters the Ark because we are the righteousness of Christ.  

So I want all of us to be found righteous. Not that we are not going to experience moments of sin because it's in our nature. That’s why Jesus came, that's why we are called the righteousness of Christ, because God, surely Jesus surely is going to continue chipping away in us the things that are not like him. 

So that we can continuously be found righteous in his sight. So brothers and sisters let’s desire to be in right standing with the Lord. So that we can enter into the Ark you and your family.  

Every child, every boy, every daughter, every son accounted for because of your righteousness. It’s this responsibility that we have to be in right, standing with the Lord, so that our family can enter into a place of safety.  

Now brothers and sisters we are already living in the midst of wickedness and in order for us to be not affected by what's going on around us we have to be found righteous so that we can be safe from the distractions and the chaos that is in our world right now.  

Again the devil has a goal to distract us from what we need to be, which is the righteousness of Christ. It doesn't mean we are not going to sin, we are going to, we are going to do things, we are going to say things.  

But that does not mean you should not be in right standing with the Lord. It means that you should continuously seek to be in right standing with the Lord. In other words, if something happens or you do something.  

You immediately have to ask the Lord to forgive you or to go before him so that you can be in right standing with him. Because the reward of in order to be righteous is that you can enter the Ark, you and your family and the reward of being righteous is answered prayer.  

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avail eth much. That's why it is important for us to be in right standing with the Lord 1, so that we can enter the Act 2 so that we can have answered prayer.  

We all have things that we are asking the Lord to do and if we want answered prayer, we have to be in right standing with the Lord. But the greatest reward is that we can enter the Ark us and our family.  

So I want to encourage everybody make sure we are continuously making it right with the Lord. And Jesus presents us to the Father is wholly and acceptable. That's why we are called the righteousness of Christ, because it's Christ in us, the hope of glory.  

Because God knows, surely the standard of perfection that he demands, we cannot attain it. Hence he send Jesus Christ to die on the cross, so that you and I can be in right standing. So we can enter the Ark us and our family.  

So for every parent for every grandmother, for every grandfather, our prayer is that Father may we be in right standing so that no child. that every niece, every nephew, is accounted for.  

So we can enter into our place of safety, which is the church. That's our Ark. Every generation was given its Ark. Noah in the midst of the wickedness that was going on around him they had to build a boat. The children of Israelite living in the wilderness they had to build the Ark of the Covenant.  

Where God, who resides and walk with them. In our day, which is the day of the Lord, Christ Jesus comes and he builds the church. And he says that's your Ark and this one was built by him.  

Every square inch Noah built his the children of Israelite built it with God specifications. But ours Jesus came and built it and our job is just to enter so that we can be in right standing with him and we enter and all of our family. Everybody accounted for, Amen.  

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you for your grace. Thank you, Lord, for your love. Thank you, Lord, for choosing us. We know there are so many people we have heard the message of the gospel and their hearts will never turned to it.  

So we counted the privilege that when we heard the message of truth our hearts connected with it and we ran to Christ. We thank you that we believe that we love scripture, that we love church, we love worshipping.  

It's a privilege and honor to be found in your spirit to be governed by your spirit. It's a privilege and honor for the Holy Spirit to walk, to consult and to divinely speak to us in everything that we do.  

We know we are surrounded by wicked men and a wicked environment. But God we thank you that your hand is on us. So, Father, I pray that as we continue in our journey, continue to make lives right with you. Continue Lord to strengthen us in our quest. 

In our desire to be righteousness. Because we know our righteousness will bring us into a place of safety. But also will bring us to a place where we have answered prayer. Father we are praying and constantly praying for our children and grandchildren and we are in need of those prayers to be answered.  

For we know they are growing up in a wicked perverse, violent world. But we know we have a place we can run to which is you. And we will continue to pray for our children to place them before you, to give them back to you because you gave them to us as a gift.  

And Father, we know there are certain things that we don't understand as parents, we don't have full scope and full inside of what they will be. But we trust that you are able to give us wisdom to guide them in the things that they shall become.  

And we decree and declare as the parts are filled with righteousness. That God, you are exonerating them, inasmuch as you called us out of the world. We are asking that you call our children out of this world.  

May you raise in them a standard of belief, the standard of righteousness. So that they can found righteous in their generation too. Your word tells us that this Kingdom will grow from one generation to the next.  

So inasmuch as we have received it we ask that we, our children, be in line to receive the Kingdom of God. We thank you for these gifts. We pray for every talent to be accounted for, to not be misused, but be used for the purposes of growing your Kingdom.  

Thank you Lord for giving us angels and we assign them to walk with our children in everything they are doing. We thank you for grace. We thank you, Lord, even as they get ready to go back to school.  

May you by your spirit, continue to guide them in all things true and in all things right. I pray Lord that may you heal all of us from sickness and diseases. From emotional and spiritual entanglements. Heal those who maybe dealing with emotionally or spiritually. 

We know that 4 generations ago there's men, women that lives that affect us now. That the sins of the Father will visit 3rd and 4th generation. So we for generations ago.  

We ask Lord that may your spirit help us to navigate but to be healed, to not be held accountable because we now belong to you and we are now the righteousness of Christ.  

Sovereign God may you continue to help us to educate us to expand the gift that is in us. So that we can continue to be found in your midst. Father provide for us where we are lacking. I pray for those who are in business for good business deals.  

May you send good people to deal with and if there's people we encounter Lord that desperately need this gospel, I pray for opportunities for us to speak truth. So that somebody gets to believe.  

Pray for husbands to continue to find their place and I pray for wives to continue to find their place in our families. Thank you, Lord, for loving us the way you love us and thank you for protecting us from harm and danger, seen or unseen.  

Even the times that we were not aware of the environment around us. So, Father, as we go throughout this day blesse us with great ideas, open doors for us and may we enter and so forth. The power of this Kingdom.  

The those that we should not get through, I pray that made you shut them in the name of Jesus. Help our unbelief in the areas that we like. We now ask you to give us today's bread, daily bread let you will be done in us as it is in heaven.  

May you lead us not into temptation but continue to deliver us from the evil one, continue to deliver us from this wicked world, continue to deliver us from generated delivers from this wicked generation this corrupt generation, the pervasiveness generation.  

May you shut our ear duct, our eye duct, our mouths so we don't see or experience things that contaminates our spirit. Thank you for your love. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.  

Brothers and sisters let's continue to be found in right standing with the Lord so that we the privileged to enter us and our families remain as a gift to you and I. May the Lord bless you. May the Lord bless your families and your children in the name of Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
