A Chapter By Chapter Study Of The Gospels To Know And Teach Who Jesus Is And What Is Required Of The Sons And Daughters Of The Most High God

Matthew Chapter 22 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”"

A wonderful, a wonderful morning to you, everybody. I pray you have a wonderful and restful night. And you are ready for another day and another week with the Lord. And this is the day the Lord has made. Let us pray.

Heavenly Father, we come before you this morning. We thank you for this time that we have set aside to commune with you, to commune with the Holy Spirit to fellowship with one another. as we desire to know and to hear you speak and give us instructions for the day.

We thank you, Lord, that you are the God who calls himself our Father. And we, your children, we long to hear from you. So as we gather this morning, Lord, we gather with a clear mind that knows your ears are attentive to us.

So we pray, Lord, that as we look at these scriptures, as we gain wisdom and understanding, knowledge, I pray, Lord, that may you continue to strengthen us in our efforts to live holy lives, to live as believer as Christians.

So that we can continue to be the light and the salt of the earth. We bless you and we honor you for bringing us all together as a family of believers.

A community that loves you and we pray Lord that may your spirit continue to guide us in everything that we are doing and we are planning and we pray this prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray Amen and Amen.

Brothers and sisters uh if you missed Bible study yesterday one of the things we talked about was the need to elevate our praying life because the times that we are in demand that we rise up in prayer.

And you're going to get a list of things to pray for. You can add to that list. And my suggestion and recommendation yesterday was that any chance and any opportunity you have to pray, do not waste it.

Whether you're in traffic, whether you're at the doctor's office waiting for something, we want to get into the culture of praying without ceasing, because the time demands for us to do as such.

As for today, we are in Matthew 22. In Matthew 22 is another proverb, it's another parable, sorry, about the Kingdom of Heaven.

My prayer is that you have already read Matthew 22, and so we can just summarize it and then go on to praying. So the parable, there's a parable of the wedding feast. The Kingdom of Heaven is like the parable of the wedding feast.

And there are so many things that are highlighted in there that we can pick out. The first one is that the king and the son, that's God and Jesus Christ. Then the second one, the rejection to come to the wording, that's a representation of the Jewish nation.

Then you have the new guests, which the king sent his servants to go and find. Thus the Gentiles, good and bad, everybody was welcomed. Come on in and sit at the table and let's eat.

The wedding garments represent the righteousness provided by Christ. And many are called, but few are chosen. But then, in the midst of all this, the Sadducees and the Pharisees are relentlessly coming to Jesus to test him.

And in the previous chapters, we spoke about how they were traveling about 80 miles to come ask questions. is because they were really holding on to their traditions. And as you can see in this parable.

It really kind of explains who the Sadducees and the Pharisees are, that they have a chance to be sitting at the table, but they're choosing not to because of their own desires to follow traditions.

But then, in the midst of this chapter, you know, they ask Jesus, who is the greatest? And then Jesus answers them and He says, the greatest commandment is love your God with all your heart.

Brothers in statement, that statement, sometimes we gloss over it. The commandment is to love God with all your heart. In other words, no reservation, no holding anything back, no indecisions.

It's just a pure love where your whole heart, your whole being, is dedicated to loving God with all your heart, greatest commandment of all times.

So when God says, Follow my commandments, at the top of it is this idea that we have to love him with all our hearts. And then the second one was to love your neighbor as yourself.

Two commandment, one for God and one for humanity. Brothers and sisters, love is not love until it is directed towards something. Effort usually determines the things, or usually tells us the things that we love.

A person who loves cooking will spend time looking for recipes and pots, in different things to use in their cooking. A person who loves scriptures usually reads the Bible non-stop, collect Bibles, because they just love scriptures.

And in the same effort, a person who loves God with all their heart means that the epicenter of everything they do is this idea that I have to love God with all my heart, not holding anything back.

And as we continue to direct that love to God, he then also says, while your love is coming vertical, horizontally you have to love your neighbor, equally as you love yourself.

And when you do these two things, when you realize that doing these two commandments helps you with the rest of them. If you can love God with all your heart, and if you can love your neighbor as you love yourself, then you have no problem whatsoever with the rest of the commandments.

Because these two deals with fundamental issues of the heart, that you won't be able to murder anybody, because you have an equal love for them as you love yourself. You won't be able to steal from anybody because you have an equal love for them as you love yourself.

So seven commandments that are listed as ways to inhibit mankind from doing evil. You don't have to worry about them. Because if you master these two, the rest of them become easy.

In fact, you don't even have to think about it or worry about them, because they won't matter at all. So in this hour that we are in, we have to love God with all our hearts and we have to love our neighbors equally as we love ourselves.

Because those two are the greatest, one for God and one for mankind. And you can see, even in this parable, as we look at the Pharisees and the Sadducees, that they did not have a love for God with all their hearts.

Neither did they love any mankind with all their love. All they were worried and concerned about more than anything else was keeping tradition. Even if it violates the fact that God so loved the world that he sent his son.

They tried by all means to kick everyone out. That's what their issue is. isolate people that don't look like them. And brothers and sisters, these two commandments, if we don't value them, they always cause destruction.

If you don't love your neighbors, if you don't have regard for God, It's easy to violate other human beings and it's easy to break the remainder of the commandments, very easy.

So brothers and sisters, we are at a time where these two commandments are being violated and the results are in. Now it's time for us to raise the standard of loving God and to raise the standard of loving thy neighbor as you love yourself.

Those two, I believe, are going to make us distinct. We are going to be a light on a hill if you do this too. And your level of influence, spiritual influence will grow. So as we go into this day, let us not forget these two commandments.

Because they are going to elevate your position in God and your position and level of influence in others. It's hard to be the light and it's hard to be the salt if you don't love thy neighbor.

It's hard to execute the values and statutes of being a good neighbor if you don't love God, that's why the Bible says how can you love God how can you love God when you can love the one person you can see.

So let us carry love let us carry love for mankind and let us carry love for God with all our hearts let's love him so that we can continue to be the light and the salt. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we come before you.

We thank you for the love that you have for us, that you could send your son to experience gruesome death just for us to be invited to this wedding banquet.

So as we sit at your table, as we eat from what has been set before us in this kingdom, the various gifts and talents and statutes and values that we are able to enjoy, I pray, Lord, that may our love for you and our love for thy neighbor continue to grow.

Bless our hearts and our spirits because we are in desperate need of you in this hour. Lord, we are seeing so many things that are difficult to comprehend. Challenges that are beyond our imagination.

Things that we can’t fathom. But we believe with all our hearts that through us you have given us power and authority. We know the revelation of who Christ is will prevail hell from enduring on this earth.

So we are praying, Lord, that what the enemy is throwing at us and in our face, that it will not speak, that it will have no place in the name of Jesus.

Father, we pray, Lord, for a community of believers all around this world that are desiring to do these two things to love God with all their heart and to love their neighbor if they love themselves.

That God may you continue to unite us in spirit may we be joined with others of like mind all over this world that have a passion for this kingdom and to see your kingdom come.

And I pray, Lord, that as we soldier on in prayer, as we soldier on in Bible study and in different discussions pertaining this kingdom, strengthen us. Give us wisdom and understanding to face the days ahead.

And I pray, Lord, that while we are in the midst of battles and fighting, we want to acknowledge the fact that joy in the Holy Ghost is the life that you have set aside for us to enjoy in this kingdom.

So I pray, Lord, that you restore the joy of salvation in our hearts. Renew in us right spirits so that whatever that comes our way will remain constant in experiencing the joy of the Lord in this kingdom.

Bless our efforts, our effort in prayer, our efforts in study, our effort in fellowship with one another, our efforts in worship. Bless us, Lord, our desire is to love you completely. May you forgive us when we make errors and mistakes.

Because our hearts sometimes can be misplaced, but Father, may we never be mistaken for not loving you. Father, in this hour, we lift up this nation of the United States. We thank you for what you are doing.

I know if we can see, you see better. And I know if we can hear, you hear better. Father, forgive us for the debauchery, forgive us for corruption, forgive us for abuse of people and power and money.

We ask for forgiveness on behalf of this nation, lest you shout heaven above us. May we continue to be found righteous in this generation so you can have mercy upon us. Father, I lift up to you every corrupt leader.

We place them before you. We ask, Lord, we continuously ask that God, you give them an opportunity to repent. But if they continue and choose not to, Lord, we are tired as your children of being subjected to things that are beyond our reason.

So we ask that you execute judgment according to your will. Father, may the cause of humanity continue to be held up high. May the standard never sink law in the name of Jesus. We pray for church leaders across this country.

May we hold on to the values and statues of this kingdom, the desires to be righteous and to be holy, and to be counted amongst the people of God who loves you and who loves people.

May we continue to turn our eyes away from worthless things as you direct us into the path of your commands. Oh Heavenly Father, hear us. Our hearts are grieved with what we are seeing, the hate, and the heinous crimes that are being committed, our hearts are grieved.

So we pray, Lord, that you send angels on assignment to do the bidding for us as we wrestle against, as we wrestle not against flesh and blood and rulers and principalities in the heavenlies.

Father, send Michael himself to war on our behalf. Father, I pray, Lord, that you raise in this hour godly men that care about spiritual things and concerns for mankind that we have a love for God, in the name of Jesus.

Raise a new generation of believers, a new generation of leaders that have clean hands, pure hearts, that haven't raised their eyes towards idols, that are committed of seeing the light and the salt of the earth be magnified so that others can come to Christ.

Lord we bind every secret meeting wherever they are held that seeks to perpetuate what is being perpetuated. St. Michael, St. Gabriel, if you have to, Lord, and bring a word of warning to those who are in contempt.

I pray, Lord, for believers all across this country and all across this world. Continue to strengthen us and remind us, Lord, that there is more of us and that two of us can fight ten thousand.

That we, that's the ability you have given us. So I pray, Lord, that in our efforts, may we never lose sight of what you have placed in us. As we lift our eyes towards the hill where our help comes from.

Lord, I pray for our children. We surround them with angels. We send angels on assignment as they go to school and interact with different ones and teachers and all their sporting activities in every area they find themselves.

That God, we put a hedge of protection around them and we command angels on assignment to guard and protect them in all their ways in the name of Jesus, shut their ears and eyes from worthless things.

Let the Holy Spirit be so loud in their soul in the name of Jesus. We throw in our grandchildren in there, and we pray a special blessing on every single one of them, that Lord, everyone will be accounted for in the name of Jesus.

We know that there is a freedom of abuse in this country. But I pray Lord that it shall not be so for the next generation. May you break the yoke of bondage that has tormented this country for generations.

Raise a community of believers that will stand in faith and believing that God, you are more than capable of solving all our problems at once. Thank you for being our Father, a place where we can run to and a rock that we can stand on.

I pray for all of us as we go throughout this day, as we deal with different ones at the job place and social settings may our hearts continue to be linked with yours so that we can continue to be the light in the earth.

I pray Lord that our desire to do your will on this earth will be followed by a strength to execute that which you have given us to execute. Eradicate sickness and diseases amongst us.

I pray for wholeness, a renewal of minds and of souls and bodies. That none amongst us will be sick. Father, I pray Lord, if there's any underlying causes that might be hiding in our bloodstream.

We pray, Lord, that you purify us so that we can be whole and healthy, ready to serve you. I pray, Lord, we curse all heart disease issues, pulmonary issues, strokes. I pray, Lord, that you are raising us up.

And those, Lord, who find themselves ailing, I pray for total healing, and wholeness, Mother Russell, a Sarge, total healing, in the name of Jesus. We bless you for all that you are doing in our lives.

And we thank you, Lord, for your grace, may it continue to abound. Father, today we say a special thank you for Calvin. Thank you Lord for the man that he is. That on his birthday that God you will bless him with many years to come.

Extraordinary healthy years serving you in your kingdom, walking with you. Whole in the name of Jesus, renew his youth in the name of Jesus and I pray Lord for this brother of mine that God Almighty as you go throughout this day celebrating his birthday.

That God you bless him you answer every prayer that he has you have sent out to the heavens that you touch all of his children and grandchildren and continue to bless him in the name of Jesus.

Thank you for Vee. Thank you for Veronica's parents, that God Almighty, as we continue to bless them, that you do exceedingly, abundantly for them more than they can ever imagine.

And I pray for all of us as we go throughout this day. Let your will be done in us as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And continue to lead us not into temptation, but deliver us, Lord, from the evil one.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, Amen and Amen. Brothers and sisters, let's have an incredible phenomenal Monday and the rest of the week.

Whenever you get a little free time, two minutes, three minutes, four minutes here, take that list just take, you know, pray and go through that list and check it out and add more prayers to it.

Let's not waste time. I know there are so many things that are being sent to distract us, but let's keep our eyes on the cross. Keep your eyes on the cross. No wasted time.

If you have free time, pray. Be careful, Paul says to the church in Ephesus 5:15 of Ephesians. Be careful then how you live, not as unwise, but as wise.

Making the most of the time, because the days are evil. And then Paul then says, you should pray. So brothers and sisters, I love you. May the Lord bless you in Jesus name and we'll see you back here tomorrow at 7 a.m.
