Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises
Exodus 16:2-12 "Then The Lord Said To Moses 'Behold, I Will Rain Bread From Heaven For You. And The People Shall Go Out And Gather A Certain Quota Every Day, That I May Test Them, Whether They will Walk In My Law Or Not "
Good morning, good morning, good morning, Father God, Abba, creator of all things. This is the day that you have made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it. Our minds, our hearts, lives and our spirit, even our bodies, we surrender to you, great in mighty God.
For you are to be praised, magnified, and given all the glory. Every morning we lay out the pieces of our life on the altar and wait for your fire to fall upon our hearts that we will listen to your word.
We are united to you, Father God, and we're becoming one spirit with you, for our bodies everywhere we go today, God you are in us and with us, the power of God, the wisdom of God, and the victory of God.
We yield to you, thanking you for who you are in our life. Good morning, my brothers and sisters, this morning we are in the 16th chapter of Exodus, remembering the great victory of the Red Sea triumph and three days after the Israelites began to grumble.
And 15 days later, the second month, which I am now in the 16th chapter of Exodus, the whole Israelite community set out and they came to the desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai.
And here's the desert, the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The Israelites said to them, if only we had gone by the Lord's hand in Egypt, that we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted.
But you have brought us out into this desert, the star, this entire assembly to death. When we think about the timing that quickly, they forgot about all God had done for them, the plagues, the Egyptians, giving them so much as they were coming out of Egypt that they were over filled with their positions that the Egyptians had given them.
But right now, two months later, they forgot and they are grumbling and complaining because they don't see in the natural what God is going to do for them. And it says in the fourth verse, then the Lord said to Moses, I will rain down bread from heaven for you.
The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way, I would test them and see whether they will follow my instruction. On the sixth day, they are to prepare what they bring in.
And that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other day because we know on their Sabbath, they could not fast, but this was allowed. So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites in the evening, you would know that it was the Lord who brought you out of Egypt.
And in the morning, you would see the glory of the Lord, because he had been against him. Who are we that we should grumble against him? Moses said to them, you would know that it was the Lord when he gives you meat to eat in the evening.
And all the bread you want in the morning because he has heard your grumbling against me. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, meaning him and Aaron, but against the Lord.
Then Moses told Aaron, say to the entire Israelite community, come before the Lord, before he has heard your grumbling. While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked towards the desert and that was the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.
The Lord said to Moses, I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, at twilight, you will eat meat and the morning you will be filled with bread, then you will know that I am the Lord, your God.
When we see that there are times that God comes to us and he gives us what we have grumbling and complain about. The Israelites wanted a king. God told him, you don't need a king.
I'm your king, but because of what they saw around them, they wanted to be like everyone else. Is that a note we should take when we see and know and think that we want to be like others.
We step into the devil's trap because God knows far more what we need than what we think we need. The whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.
As we know in Philippians, the Scripture says we are not to forget we have been delivered from by remembering what happened when we've come out of and becoming a stubborn and a grumbling community.
But those things still are part of us because we are just going to believe what we see. That's why we have to get into the word and not let what we see become a stumbling block for us. Remember to keep our desires as to help others focusing on things that happen in our lives.
Not to forget them because we don't use them as a stepping stone to get to the next part of our lives and giving God praise and glory, but for them to become a stumbling block in our lives.
We become aware of knowing and believing God can. He wants to and we have to move out of his way so he can do what he desires because he knows what's best for us. When we go to the Scripture in Titus.
It's Titus 1:2, In hope of eternal life which God that cannot lie promised before the world began. When God speaks, the words that he speaks, they will always be true. So we should look at them, understand them and ask God for his word to become what we need not to look back and turn into a pillar of salt.
But only to look back long enough to say God has done it. He wants to do it and we will move out of the way, because when we remember it's that we're using it not for what should have happened.
But in Revelation 12:11 it says, and they overcame him meaning the enemy by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony and they love not their lives onto the dead. Our testimony is that we are remembering what God has done.
So therefore, when we remember it, it brings to us revelation knowledge of the great God, the Jehovah who provides for us, our shepherd and where we will not want. We lack no good thing because he's prepared for us in the presence of our enemies.
We've gone through things to have a testimony, so we don't forget in such a way that we don't remember to get to the next journey of success, but that we will know God is doing great and marvelous things in our lives.
So we cannot, we should not look at the Israelites to say, oh, they were not listening, they were stubborn, they were stubborn and not listening to the voice of God, but to look at their lives so that it will become a lesson to us to know that as we look back it pushes us forward to say, God can once again.
He desires and he will take us where we need to be when we are listening to him. Because I was thinking about Matthew in the 14, 15, 16 chapters. Some of those people were made, may have been people in each one of the feeding of the thousands.
Not putting words in the scriptures, but just to know that they remembered the feast that they had. So I said, sit down, he put them in order, thousands, hundreds, 50s. So therefore, he gave praises to God and the foods was multiplied, you know, the fish and the loaves.
So no one went hungry afterwards because they said afterwards, they took up those baskets that were filled from feeding these people. We can have allies to be testimonies on not forgetting that we serve a great God.
He seeks us to run to him so that we look in the ways of our lives to know who God is. He is our great God. Do we have bitter waters? Do we walk through the fiery furnaces? Do we have lion den experiences?
The scriptures say they that know their God will be strong and do extra mighty works for God. But we have to take what God has given us and use it for the glory of others, testimonies of trials, testimonies of things that we didn't understand what was happening.
And most of the time when we sit and we think about what we've done, how we've done it, had it not been for God, we would not have gotten to where we are today. We seek God's face in protecting us in dangers that we come upon, understanding that he is our Lord, he is our God.
We do not get stuck in the path, but we seek to go forth in the future becoming mighty warriors of the Almighty God. He is our supplier. He is the one that gives us our needs. Yes, we will have trials.
There were things that come upon our lives, but he said he's overcome them all. So how do we set our mindset to not allow the enemy to take us in the past and let us seek for things that's not a blessing, but to desire the goodness of God to continue to say this day, Lord, we thank you.
We will rise and walk in the newness of life, seeking your face early so that we will know that our steps are ordered and that the path that we take, we will, we won't be grumblers, we won't be complainers, but we'll stop and think, this is God, this is his word, and we will walk in it, understanding true revelation knowledge and becoming mighty warriors.
Yes, we will have times of not being at peace, but do not move until you have that peace in your heart and knowing that this is from God and His still small for us, we're seeking God's face.
Remember who he is in our lives and thanking him for he is as he always has said. He is the great I am and that I am is whatever we need him to be at that hour in that time, knowing that we need him as never before.
Help us, keep us, show us this day, Father God, who we are in you. Thank You for life, health and strength. Enter it into our hearts to purify our thoughts and our actions.
Because we will not look at the problems of others, the fallings, the disappointment of others yet to seek your face to be there for them as a witness to our brothers and sisters, that we are in this together.
You get the glory, Father God, as we enter into your gates with thanks given into your courts with praise. We bless your name Lord. We run to the hills where our help comes from, because we know that when we are up against a red sea encounter.
Oh Father God just knowing that the water is bitter, that we will come to you at that time to say, Papa, we need you right now. And we know Lord Jesus, that we can do all things in you because you are our Elohim, you are our El Shaddai.
Search us Oh God and know our hearts, try us and know our thoughts and see if there be any wicked way in our hearts Lord, what you say that it is deceitful because of your love and your love, nothing shall offend us as we seek you early.
And in allowing you to be God, we thank you, Father God, because we know that in you all things work together for your good, that we will glorify your name and lift you up and praise you.
Have your way this day, Lord, that your word that I prepared for your people will be nourishment, enlightenment, and encouragement to know that we can seek your face when we feel that we want to grumble or complain or be in a pity.
That we will turn our eyes towards you, Lord, to that hill from which I have cometh from and seek you to say no, we will give you the praise and the glory because you are our God and as you lead us, as you lead the children of Israel with Moses and Aaron coming to you.
Thanking you and remembering that our past should push us to our future, that we know that our testimonies will be that that we need in these days and times because Father God, your word is our strength, it's our joy, it's our encouragement.
And even for us to be long-suffering with our brothers and sisters, we will not be as the world is, but we will come to you knowing that even in test and trials you are the great I am.
Because, Lord, we remember that we overcome by the blood of the lamb and our testimonies and our testimonies are given to us for others as well as for us to know that what has been is and shall be from the goodness of the Lord to take us to that land.
To our promised land that we can say we too love your word, we love others and we love ourselves Lord because you have created us to be your vessels of praise honoring glory and in this day, Lord, we lift you up.
We thank you for knowing that the words of our mouth and the meditation our heart will be established day in and day out as we continue to remember your words that you placed in us to be that light, to be that lamb, in times where we need you most to yield ourselves to you in the precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
