Thus Says The Lord-Who God Says He Is, His Commandments and Promises
Exodus 3:11-14 "Thus You Shall Say To The Children Of Israel, 'I Am Has Sent Me To You "
Good morning, our brothers and sisters. And to our blessed Father God, we thank you this morning for all that you are to us. Our Father, which art in heaven, halloweth be your holy and precious name.
We thank you, Lord, for knowing that your kingdom is coming, and we await your will to be done in earth as it is in heaven. Thank you, Papa God, for our daily bread that you give us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from all sin and evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.
Father God, we thank you that as we come to you, we desire that the words that we speak will be a blessing to your people. And we thank you, Lord, that it will minister to their hearts, that you are given to them through me your servant this morning.
We bless your name, Father God, because you're such a great God. Thank you for keeping us watching over us as we slept, and keeping us to a point where our minds and our hearts are desiring for you.
We ask you, Lord, that your word come forth, ministering to the things that we need, and the desires of our hearts, for we will seek your face early, Lord, knowing that in you, we live, we move, and have our beings.
And all that is of you, we desire, Lord, to be vessels of praise, honor, and glory, lifting up your holy name, or who you are in us, in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
Good morning, my brothers and sisters, in the Prayer Work ministry. We thank God for being who He is in our lives. And my scripture this morning is from Exodus 3:11-14. And I'm going to go back to Exodus 1 to let us know how we get to the point of where God and Moses are speaking,
And it says that Joseph had died and all his brothers and all that generation, but the descendants of Israel were fruitful and increasing abundantly. They multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, and the land was full of them.
Now a new king arose over Egypt who did not know Joseph, and he said to his people, behold, the Israelites are too many and too mighty for us, but they outnumber us both in people and in strength. Come let us deal fruitily with them, lest they multiply more, and should warp before us, they join our enemies, fight against us, and escape out of the land.
What is happening here is the new Pharaoh did not know Joseph and that who Veronica spoke about on yesterday, so won't go there, but anyway, because of them growing so mightily, his fear came that they should do something to stop it, which is when God has a plan, you cannot stop his plan.
He's going to work it out for us all, so he had them to set over taskmasters just to afflict them with hard labor, and they were to be a storages for Pharaoh, but even though they afflicted them, they multiplied and grew more.
So the Pharaoh said to the Hebrew mid wives, when you see that the Hebrew women become or about to give birth if it's a son kill him, if it's a daughter, she should live, but there's always God. in the plan.
So the mid wives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded, they let the male babies live, this was a thing that the Pharaoh was not pleased with at all.
So he said to them, when their babies are born, we want you to throw them in the Nile, but God deals with the mid wives, and as I said, they did not do what he had asked them to do, and the babies were still born, so this is when Moses, who is the main character speaking with God, came about to be born.
And in the second chapter of Exodus it says, now a man of the tribe of Levi, a marital Levi woman, she became pregnant and gave birth to a son, she saw this, he was a fine child, she hid him for three months, when she could no longer hide him, she made an ark, placed him in it, and put him in the river, and his sister stood far off to see what would happen.
We always have a plan, when we're listening to God, if we follow it, it will come to fruition. As Moses's sister is looking, Pharaoh's daughter comes down this day, and she's to bathe at the river, as she's bathing, her maidens are walking along the bank, and she sees the ark which Moses is in.
And she rushes and sends her maid, the daughter of Pharaoh rushes and tells them to get it. When she opens it up, she sees the child, and as he cries, she pities him, and he becomes one of the Hebrew children.
So Moses grows up in Pharaoh's house, and his sister goes to the Pharaoh, and she says, I can bring someone to nurse the child, which God's plan again is Moses' mother, so he's raised in Pharaoh's house, but his mother is who raises him, and he knows that he is a Hebrew, but he is in Pharaoh's house.
For a while, after a while later, Moses grows up, and there is a confrontation between an Egyptian who is beating a Hebrew, which is one of Moses' brothers, and Moses looks to see what's going on, if anybody sees him, and he kills the Egyptian, but he hides them in the sand ,and it says on the next day that two Hebrew's are quarreling, fighting,
And Moses says, for why are you all fighting? And one of the men says, who made you a prince and a judge of us? Do you intend to kill us as you kill the Egyptian? Moses had hit him in the sand, and didn't think anybody had seen.
But whenever we do things that's not godly or cause trouble, the enemy will come back to strike us with it, to let us know someone saw you, and therefore he was like, okay, he knew that he would have to get away, because he was very not knowing what Pharaoh did when he found out what he had did, so he fled to the land of Midian.
When he gets the Midian, there are seven daughters of the prince of Midian who are filling their troughs with water, for their father's flock, who is Jethro, and when there comes a time where Moses stands up to help them and water their flock, and after they do, after he does this.
They go back and their dad is like, okay, how did you get back so quick, and they tell him the story that Moses helped them, and you know, the dad was like, well, where is he? We need to give him some honor for this.
Well, Moses ends up marrying one of the Jethro 's daughter, who was Zipporah, and this is where we to Moses, keeping his father's father-in-law's flock, and on the bank of the west side of the wilderness, he sees this bush, and this is where we're learning about the burning bush.
Which when Moses sees it, he looks at it because it's not just your ordinary burning bush, the bush is not burning up, it's just the fire in the bush burning and when Moses goes over to see, to investigate, he's like, okay, what is going on?
And the scripture says, and when the Lord saw that Moses had turned aside to see, he calls out to Moses and says to Moses from the bush, Moses, Moses, and Moses says, here I am, I, God says, do not come near, put your shoes off your feet, for the place with your stand is holy ground.
He says, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Moses hides his face, but he was afraid to look at God. The Lord then says, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard that cry because of their taskmasters and oppressors.
While I know their sorrows and sufferings and triumphs. I have come down to deliver them out of the hand in the power of the Egyptian, and there's a bring them up to that land, a land that is good and large.a land flowing with milk and honey.
Plenteous, the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Parasites, the Hittites, and the Jewelites.
But now behold, the cry of the Israelites have come to me, and I have also seen how the Egyptians oppressed them. Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring forth my people, the Israelites out of Egypt.
Moses said to God, and this is verse 11 through 14, which was where I'm reading today from my topic, and Moses says to God, who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?
God said, I will surely be with you, and this should be the sign to you that I have sent you. When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you should serve God on this mountain, Sinai.
Moses said to God, behold, when I come to the Israelites and say to them, the God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, what is his name? What shall I say to them? And God said to Moses, I am who I am, and what I am, and I will be what I will be. And he said, you should say this to the Israelites, I am have sent you to me.
So as we see the trials and the different struggles that were sent during the time of Moses, it gets here to where the reason why Moses birthed was, because God needed a man that he knew would, even though with the difficulties, because there are other things that happened afterwards, which I'm going to just try to stop right here.
It's God's plan is always going to work out, because we know that when we see a burning piece of paper or making a fire to barbecue, or you see the things as it's being destroyed in the fire, but this bush was not burning up.
It was just a consuming fire continuing to burn, which Moses was like, this is not ordinary. So let me see what is going on, what wise is happening and God speaks to him and says, you know, Moses, Moses, he calls him and he tells Moses is here, am I?
And he lets him know the reason why that you are seeing this, because I needed your attention, that I need you to go to Pharaoh, who yes, was a reason why you left the Egyptians that was going, you fear in what would have happened to you had you stayed there.
But I, the God of who I am, need you to go and let the people know that I've heard that cry, and I'm going to deliver them. So in my reading, and when I got to this is like, I am who I am, who is God to us? Who is that I am? How are we listening to his words?
The struggles that we are going through, have gone through, we'll go through. It does not minimize the God that we serve. He is still sitting on the throne. He knows what we are going to go through.
He knows where we are right now, but we have to open up our mindsets to know that when we see, hear, are aware of God's presence, we have to stop and say, let me move me out of the way with whatever the struggles are to let God do what he's going to do.
Because it's going to be more than what we could ever ask, think or imagine, because he said we are more than conquerors, and we find out what he is in us and who he will be in us. We will not just conquer, but we will do more than conquer.
We are his people, and he desires for us to be and have a light so that others will want to get where we are, and they will understand who he is in our lives. God is the great I am. So we have to stop now to clear our minds of what we feel like we need to do and then, you know, as people say, well, I guess I just pray.
No, prayer should be the first thing that we do. We should learn to stop, to think about, okay, who is the great God that we serve, who created the heavens and the earth and all that there is, in knowing that he can.
And he desires to put us in a place in our lives to say, God wants to put me first so that people will see him in me, and I can tell them who the great I am is, because we know back in Genesis, when he said, I am, he was letting them know that he was whatever they needed him to be, and we should look at all times in knowing that God will.
He desires to do more than we can ask the thing, because we are mighty through God in the pulling down of strongholds, and when we put on the breastplate of righteousness, you know, the belt of truth, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, our feet shot with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
The helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, we know we can come against the fiery gods. Yes, they will come, but we are mighty through God through the pulling down of the strongholds in him.
We fight this fight, knowing that we have already won, but we have to have the mindset of knowing we, through the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimonies, we are conquerors, more than conquerors, being where we should be in the Lord, God Almighty, or realizing he is the God.
And where we place him in our lives is where he will do for us what we need time and being more than conquerors. Father God, we thank you this morning. We yield ourselves asking you to help us to create in us clean hearts and renew within us the right to step that spirit.
Father we bless your holy name, but we know that whatever we need, you are the great I am. You desire to show us where we should be, when we should be, where we are, and how to be the vessels of using your name to bless our brothers and sisters, and to seek your face early.
We cry out to you this day by the God in knowing that in all things, we are more than conquerors, and that we will give you praise, glory, and honor seeking your face in our lives for who you are.
This day, Lord, bless us in everything that we do to see those experiences in our lives as to say, God will, he can, and he desires to make us, shape us, and help us in all creating in us as he gives us wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and power to say, yes, Lord, we are your servants.
We are listening, and we will seek your face this day in the days to come to be your vessels in Jesus' precious name, Amen.
