"Readying Our Hearts for Resurrection Sunday"

"The King On A Cross"

Good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, everybody. This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Christ has now redeemed us from the curse of the law.

We are crucified with him nevertheless, will leave not yet asked what Christ lives by failing, as his word dwells in us richly, we are able to say we are blessed, we are healed, we're set free, sickness cannot dwell in us.

For our days will fulfill sin will not dominate us because the seed of Gods who had lived in us.

Who believed that Jesus Christ came and died on the cross and we now have the abundant life and the victory that he provides. Therefore, no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We are more than conquerors because of his great love.

Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world I can do. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us as the redeemed of the Lord we say so.

Brothers and sisters the passage of Scripture we are about to read is one of the most incredibly important passages in all of human history.

Because it highlights the passageway. It is the door to salvation. It is the door to men being reconnected with God. This  is everything. This is the nucleus of all that we will ever do.

All that we ever read about the new testimony and Old Testament. This is it, so we are in 23 of Luke verse 26. Yesterday we finished with Pilate deciding to grant them their demand, their demands.

Which was release the man who has been thrown into prison doors. And they surrender Jesus to their will. So we are in verse 26. As soldiers led him away. Now he's being laid to go forth. They ceased Simon from siren.

Who was on his way in from the country and put the cross on him. And made him carry it behind Jesus. A large number of people followed him including women. Who mourned and wailed for him. Jesus turned and said to them.

This is very important here what Jesus is about to say. And this also ties into what we are doing this week, praying, praying, praying for our children. He says daughters of Jerusalem do not weep for me. Weep for yourselves and for your children.

For the time will come when you say man bless are the childless women. The wounds that never bore and the breast that never nest. Why is he saying that?

Think is the time when children will be in so much attack there will be so much under attack that you, we will say blessed man, are those who are childless.

Isn't it amazing this is what we are seeing. How the devil is wreaking half of you, our children's lives. It's tremendously and it's horrible. Different agenda after agenda towards our children. This is what Jesus meant on this day.

To weep for yourselves and for your children, for the time will come when you will say blessed by the childless women, and the wombs have never bore. And the breasts that never nest them.

Then says on top of that they will say to the mountains fall on us. This is so bad fall on us into the hills cover us. So if people do these things.

So they see these people here, if they can do these things when the tree is green when I'm here. What will happen when it is dry? And we are seeing what will happen when it is dry.

The thing that we never thought would be introduced to children that we are seeing. 32 two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. When they came to the place, called the Skull.

Why is called? Why is this place called the Skull? Because this is where people used to be crucified. They crucified him there along with the criminals.

One on his right hand. The other on his left hand. Jesus said Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing and they divided up his clothes by casting out lots.

Remember Psalms chapter 22. He talks about this they divided up his clothes and cast lots. The people stood watching and the rulers even sneered at him. They said he saved others let him save himself if he is God's Messiah the chosen one.

The soldiers also came up and mocked him and they offered him wine. Wine, vinegar and said if you are the king of the Jews, save yourself. There was a written notice above him which read this is the king of the Jews. This is the event that made it possible for you and I to gather on this prayer court today.

Without this event I don't know if I will even know you or if you even know me what unite us, what identifies us as the children of the most high is this event here. What makes us enjoy the companionship of the Holy Spirit is this terrible event right here.

What makes us prophesy, pray? What makes us enjoy the word of God? What makes us find inspiration in this book? Encourage one another is this event here this is the doorway, the passageway for all of us, to eternity and salvation as gruesome as it sounds.

As horrible as it sounds, without this we will be forever divided and far away from God. Now the Kingdom that Jesus has been speaking of, that it is now in your heart was made possible because of this event.

That's why I keep saying I don't know if we can ever comprehend this moment. What happened physically and also what happens spiritually. Now if you read other gospels, there's a whole incredible interpretation of this day.

There was an etiquette that took place. It got darker during the day. Because it's easy to separate these events with one particular moment. But if you've been tracking back to where we started.

You realize this is a full stop to already challenging week for Jesus. This is the climax of a horrible week. From lack of sleep, sleep deprivation, being mocked. He’s being taken back and forth.

Between Pilates house and this is not a short distance by the way. We're talking 2, 4 miles. Dragged in the middle of the night. You people are mocking you and hitting you. Your disciples are rejecting him and there is nobody to be found in your corner.

You are all alone. Even though you had men and women following you as you performed miracles in a crowd but lonely. The anguish of this movement had turned his. Is tears into blood. Pray the prayer that the Father never answered.

Let this cup pass from me. And he watched one by one his disciples reject him and fall on the wayside. The same people he had dinner with Just a day ago. And the promise that we are willing to go wherever you go, you go to prison, we will be there.

But this place they took him. So many people had died on the hands of the Roman army. Crucified and left bare on there for the whole city to see to intimidate, to mock, to maim and today was his day. Where he is all by himself now.

Even the Father was quiet in heaven, watching from a distance nor encouragement because he had to go through this in order for you and I to find salvation. To be brought back into the fold. His willingness to endure this was all day for everybody to see. Yet he gave us encouraging words in the moment.

Forgive them, Lord, for they do not know what they are doing. They are clueless about what they are doing. Before that just pray for yourself and your children, which we are doing right now. Pray for yourselves and your children.

Because the time will come and the time has come. When you say, Oh my God, blessed are those who are childless. Brothers and sisters we have a responsibility and according to Jesus and we know it too.

But according to him, we have a responsibility and an instruction from Jesus in his greasiest time. This is one of his this is the worst moment of his entire existence, and in that moment. In the moment of his crucifixion.

After all that I've described in the moment of his crucifixion. He gives us the instruction. Pray for yourselves and your children because the time is coming. He could have said, hey, Christians this is for you.

He could have said man I'm dying for you all. Don't worry in a few days you enjoy the gift of the Holy Spirit. That it doesn't say that there's so many things Jesus could have said in this moment.

So many things were the same. He is watching people wailing and crying for him. You could have said don't worry, it's all going to be fine. He would have said no brothers and sisters in a few days, it's all going to be good.

It doesn't say that it gives us an instruction in this particular moment. And if you think about all the things that Jesus could have said, and he was remarkable at saying things. He was remarkable at answering questions, unbelievable.

But in this moment don't cry for me. Do not cry for me. Don't wail for me, no. Says do not weep for me. Weep for yourselves and for your children. For the time will come when you say bless are those who were childless and the wounds that never bore in the breast that never miss.

And that you ask for the mountains to fall on you and for the hills to cover you. Why is he saying this? He's saying this because his face, he knows that adults will be able to walk with the Holy Spirit in ever greater understanding.

But those who are vulnerable amongst you, before they even get the courage, or before they even get the gift of the spirit and baptize and acknowledge salvation.

The enemy is going to try to go for those who are vulnerable, says Pray for yourselves and weep for your children. Causes the pressure is going to be tremendous and it is tremendous.

I talked to a lot of youth, children in this season, I've just been privileged to have access to a lot of children that I'm coaching tennis shoes, softball, basketball. And the things I'm hearing, the pressure they are living under, I bet this is what Jesus says is saying weep for your children.

They are experiencing things that you and I cannot even fathom. We have adults pushing agendas. Instead of educating children, they're pushing agendas on them. Grown human beings that should know better.

So, Father we stand here in our own little way, playing a role in this Kingdom. We acknowledge these words that's the instruction that she gave to us on your way to the cross. And today we weep for our children but we know the enemy is on their tails.

So we come against every agenda, ungodly agenda that is being pushed through movies through ideas, through the internet that Lord Almighty made you circumcise their ears. Lead them away from temptation.

For we know they are the most vulnerable amongst us. The spirit of rebellion has risen in this country. And Father, we come against it. Taking heed of instruction that Jesus has given to us.

I pray for this you have given us as gifts. That this Kingdom is their inheritance. That they are eternally alive and they are being transformed by the renewing of their minds as we teach them the word of God.

May there hope, be sure and secure and may their faith endure the testings of these times. Righteous God, you know all things and you see all things. You understand every child your word says let them come to me.

So, Father, I pray for clear access for you to our children. Let their destined their destinies be secure in the name of Jesus. Father, we lift up Vicki's daughter, Rovik Edwards, Jones, Erica, Tiffany, Jones, Giles. Kevin, Raynard, Victor, Gabriel, London, Isaiah, Philip, Samson.

We call on your children that, may you rest yourself in the knowledge of who God is. We send angels on assignments to cover this whole bunch. If anyone amongst you is not saved, we call them to salvation.

We petition on behalf of your grandmother, Vicki. That may you find Christ while he is near. For those Lord who are saved and we are finding it hard to follow your righteous ways. I pray Lord, that may you remind them of what happened on the cross in order for them to enjoy this salvation.

We know there are so many agendas being pushed when this gospel has been trivialized, I pray, Lord, that may you by your spirit remind Vicki's son of the importance of being righteous as he follows Christ.

I pray for the little ones, bless them as they go in and they go out. Protect them from harm and danger in the name of Jesus. We lift up Darryl and Ebony, Karinzas's children, nieces and nephews Justin, Brooklyn, Aurora, Creed, Will, Kieran, Alex, Ian, Lily, Michaela.

We call on you, children. May this door remain open for you to salvation that the struggles that you might be dealing with there’s a man who died on the cross so that you can experience victory in every single one of those.

So we pray, Lord for those who know you, for those who trying to do right that God may they continue to find confidence in this gospel. For Darryl and Ebony, we secure their futures. That God, when they get married, they'll find godly spouses in the name of Jesus.

Protect them and save them for this generation to gleam and to us, see from and to understand. May they be the example that others will see and follow. To put a double portion anointing on them that God with these ones you will raise amongst us giants with broad shoulders.

That many will learn from in the name of Jesus. For the nieces and nephews who are dealing with a divorce situation. I pray Lord, that may you comfort these children in Virginia and give them peace of mind of knowing that God is their victor.

Open a doorway for them to enter into this salvation do that their futures can also be secure. Continue to heal their mother in the name of Jesus. Pray for healing for Karinza's sister as she raises children by herself in the name of Jesus.

Thank you for direction and bringing peace and order in the home. May you send somebody, may you send someone in the name of Jesus. Thank you for your divine appointments that today we can lift up these children to you.

And Lord, as we continue we lift up Calvin and Veronica's children's Calby, Leshen, Deshawn. Batavia, Siobhan, Dominique, Devon, Danielle, grandchildren, Jayla, Jermaine, Soleil, Nile, Winter, Giovanni, Giselle. Malikai, Cairo. I pray Lord, that while their father and grandfather is running and hungering after the things of God.

I pray Lord, may these three be extended to them too. I pray for unity. I pray for reconciliation. I pray for forgiveness to reign in this family. We remove all kinds of bitterness that children might hubber.

I pray, Lord, that there will be a time with salvation will be for all and peace and unity will reign in this group in the name of Jesus. We command the blessing of the Lord to be upon this family. May the grace of God that you have accorded Calvin and Veronica to walk in be extended to this whole entire bunch in the name of Jesus.

Pray for forgiveness and reconciliation. Let these spirits reign in this family. I pray for a day, not so in the future, where they will gather together in the celebration of Jesus in what you would have done for this family. Father, bless Calvin and Veronica.

Bless every child, bless every grandchild. Every single person accounted for, I pray for protection from harm and danger, seen or unseen. Thank you for transforming transformative power. A pray Lord that as Calvin continued to intercede for this whole entire group.

Hear his prayers from heaven and answered them accordingly. We thank you for your goodness and your mercy. And we pray, Lord, that you are going to do mighty with this family.

That salvation is their portion. Band-aid every wound, every emotional challenge they might have been dealing with. That is forgiveness, reign and reconciliation reign. Let the peace of God take over.

Let patience and reconciliation take over. We feel this prayer knowing that you hear us and that we are gathered here and we're two or more of us are gathered in your name. Whatever we ask in faith, God, you will do it for us.

We lift up Daniel’s children Jasleen, Jack and Zipporah and grandchildren Sage and Kyrie. Lord, you know the struggles these children have been dealing with for years.

Lord I pray in this hour on this same day that you went to the cross, as we read the Scriptures, we weep for them and ask you now, Lord to hear us from heaven and touch the portal touch Zipporah, touch Jack, touch Jasleen in all their struggles and the things they are dealing with and the pressure of life.

I pray, Lord, that may you exonerate these children from harm and danger, spiritual or physical, in the name of Jesus. We shut every generational curse that seek to sift through to them.

We put a barrier and separate them from all that is transpired before that seeks to perpetuate itself in them. That it shall not be so. We pray for Zipporah salvation and we pray for Jack salvation.

That God Almighty, may they hunger and thirsty after you. Shut down the speed of depression in the name of Jesus. We command the blessing of the Lord to be upon this family, we pray for Danielle and her children. Let the spirit of God reign in this house. I pray Lord that whatever that is not of you, remove it.

If there are things these children have indulged in that are not of you, we pray for forgiveness and we ask Lord he now cleanse them in the name of Jesus. We command the blessing of the Lord to be upon our children.

That as we continue this week Lord, we look forward to Friday to rededicating them back to you. But I pray, Lord, that as we continue in prayer hear us. For you already gave us an instruction to wait for our children.

Which means, Lord, that in you giving us this instruction you knew there would be a corresponding answer in heaven. So if you sit on the right hand of the father interceding on our behalf we table before you our children in this prayer requests as you offer your own prayers for us Jesus.

We table our children and we ask you to now intercede on their behalf. Draw them close to you. The only way you know how to and we ask you in your precious name to do exceedingly abundantly for us.

Now as we go into this day, lead us not into temptation, continue to deliver us from the evil one. For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, Amen.

Brothers and sisters stay in a prayerful heart for our children this week. And on Friday, we're going to get ready to dedicate these children. So make sure you remain prayerful until Friday.

And we're going to give these kids back to the Lord. Because we already have an instruction to weep for them for the days coming or for the day has already come. I bless you, may the Lord be with you today.

May he counsel you, work with you, encourage you, inspire you. May you see something and experience something that will continue to elevate your spirit, may your faith yield something in Jesus name. Let's all have a wonderful day.
