"We Are The Salt And The Light For This Generation"

Alright I want to share something that I think we all need to be aware of. And this will probably help us understand what's going on, where we are, and what we need to do. But we where I want us to kind of start from most of the scriptures I'm going to share you know you all know them. 

And you know them from your hearts you know, so the goal of our faith for everybody apart from the benefits of salvation right the seven benefits of salvation apart from that, one of the goals for every single believer is that you are going to be a salt you're going to be light in the darkness. 

And God is going to use you, yes he is, you can't escape from that it comes with salvation that you will be a salt, you'll be a light in the dark, which means that there's a responsibility that we inherently get the moment we receive salvation.  

So wherever we are, wherever we are interacting with, however challenging things look, the reality is that you and I, we have been placed in Earth at this particular time. None of us could have born in 1916, none of us could have been born in 1816 or whatever that is.  

God made sure that we were born in the right time, right era, right generation, so that you and I were thoroughly equipped to handle the challenges, but more so to be the light, to be the salt, so that we continue what God had started way back then in the garden in order to return mankind back to the garden.  

Which means that if you and I don't do our part, lights, and you and I, we are not. the salt, then the reality is that God has a goal to pass this kingdom from one generation to the next. That's his goal, that this kingdom is never going to die.  

So when we fail in our efforts not to receive salvation, all those things comes with the benefits of being saved. But when we fail in our efforts to receive the kingdom, to pass it on, then we see it in scriptures where generations used to live to be 900 years old.  

When God sent them to go and now go to the promised land, they doubted, they didn't execute things that God had really give them ability to execute and we see as a result God then cut the generations to 70 because why live to be 900 years old. 

Because think about it, if they had to live to be 900 years old that means the 40 years in the wilderness could have been 400 years in the wilderness. So God was like, why should I keep you here? For the next 400 years in the wilderness.  

Now we're going to have to cut this generation to 70 so that we can get along and continue this plan I have, which is the plan of salvation. And this here in, I've been studying this about for the past month or so. 

It hasn't changed, it hasn't changed. I was looking at nations that have life, is it life expectants? When you study the life expectations, expectants of nations, you realize it's tied mostly to what God wants to do and who's doing what and who's not doing what.  

We hear over and over again that the life expectancy is doing what? It's shortening, right? It's not shortening because we are unhealthy. It's shortening because God wants to do some things and he's waiting for somebody and failure to do so for a generation he cuts it short. 

So I want to share a lot of things you know just kind of take you back so that we understand, the goal is I want us to understand that we are the light, that we are what God is waiting for. 

No one is coming. And again, he's not waiting for us so that we can rescue nations. Not really. He's waiting for us so that we remain the light, the city that's only hill, that nobody can miss.  

Why? Because God has a goal that every man gets saved. 2 Timothy, He wants everybody saved because we are connected to him. So the idea of people perishing is not on God's agenda.  

Can I prove it to you with something that we do? Have you ever seen a naughty kid? I saw one in with David. We were at the Burlington Coat Factory. This kid was running just and everything on the ground.  

And his mother kept saying, hey, stop it, stop it. You know what's coming. And this lady stops, goes in the back aisle, found a belt, came back. So mind you, we are all waiting at the checkout.  

There's a line. I think there's about eight people. This lady tore this kid up. It wasn't like discipline. It was tore, tore this kid up, right? Which deservedly, you know, you should. But there is a point where you realize, all right, that's enough.  

And then it moved from belt to hand. And in the process, there is cursing going on. And while she is paying, she is whooping this kid, hand belt. And you can hear it and it starts turning from punishment to where everybody is just like, oh, uncomfortable.  

And then the next thing, even the girl on the counter, she said she was starting to cry. Now, where do we get that from? Even though we know he deserved it, we get it because that's God's heart.  

That even though sometimes we all deserve punishment in his heart of heart, when it's really said and done, he's like, okay, cause his love is far beyond what any man could ever do. That's why he says, come and reason together.  

So if that's his agenda and he is God, that means you and I, right? We have this huge responsibility of being the light and the sword. And again, it's not because we have the ability to do it.  

He's just looking for people with the hearts to carry that which is, he desires. Availability of carrying his spirit in dark places, so that not punishment so that somebody gets rescued and none end up in hell. 

But again, the thing that I really want us to zone in on is this this idea. I want to show you where we are. The whole entire world is right here in this place here. So 1939, 1939, from 1939 to 1950. 

The world was unstable because the generation that was leading the world as a whole, is the one that founded the principles, that founded the teaching, that founded the industries, that founded whatever that was going on from 1870 something all the way to 1939.  

The world existed because of ideas and things that were entrusted with that generation. That generation believed in war. The hallmark of a man was to go and die in war. That's what I say, you are a man that's them.  

Everything was fighting. There was no love, no hugging. Some of you can relate with what I'm talking about. It was, do as I say, I'm going to murder you and that's the way they were. And every idea that ran the world ran from that foundation. between 1939 and when that generation started dying off, right, it started dying off mostly in 1939 going this way.  

By 1950, we had their children rise up. And between '39 and 1950, that's where you get the United Nations, the civil rights, Martin Luther King, you see all these different people rise up and start being the light.  

And during that holy the Industrial Revolution going to the moon, all these new ideas started emerging between 1939 and 1950. In God we trust you find it right there why because the generation that founded the foundation in which the world was sitting on was dying off.  

So we basically, the whole world needed new ideas. It needed new doctors, new ways of medicine, new ways of teaching church. Church changed right that time. So you have all these things that are going on between 1939 and 1940,  

Because when a generation passes and another generation passes, that cross path, there's things that will be lost because they were either not taught and God will be giving a whole new people ideas, things to carry in order to build a foundation for the next generation.  

And brothers and sisters, all those ideas from 1939 to 1950, that's what we are all sitting on right now. We're sitting on their ideas, civil rights, right? All the things that govern us right now.  

They are all old systems formulated 1939 to 1950. Now, baby boomers are on their way out, right? And you can see how they are still holding on to what they believed the world should be, even though things are changing.  

The way church is conducted now, three songs, offering, word, benediction, go home. Call people to come to the front and get what? Paid for, and then we write how many people received salvation.  

Do you know when that started? It started with Billy Graham so that he could give records to the news people to report how many people were saved. So instead of just getting saved in the pews, you had to come forward so we can document and send to the newspapers and that became a thing.  

So we have all these ideas that we're all sitting on founded 1939, 1950. And those things are getting old. And God is trying to move the next generation back to Christ. And what we are lacking now is that the people that were pushing church, right, they are all dying off.  

John MacArthur is gone. You see all this difference towards men just dying left, right, and center. If they are alive, they either don't have the strength anymore. I watched my father-in-law.  

He used to anchor everybody in prayer. Every day, 4 a.m. To 7. You pray for every single member of the family, including grandchildren. Physically, he can’t do it even though he desires to.  

He now wakes up at 12. He doesn't pray for anybody anymore. If he does, he just mentioned it in passing. Which means, right? Which means that these founders are no longer holding the gate.  

So nobody is praying for anybody the way we should be doing it. Because one, the ones we could do it, can't do it anymore because they are old and they don't have the strength to do it.  

You and I, who are now the next leaders of this emerging world, we have to take care of them and also take care of our kids. So nobody is holding the gate and pushing the devil back.  

That's why he is having a field day, because you can’t point out who are the Christian leaders anymore. So we are now in our 40, in our 20 year gap, which started in the year 2000 and it's going to end in 2030.  

And you can see right now, if you're paying attention, the emergence of new churches that really truly believe and want God's desire done. Almost every city you can track and you can see there's a church that God is raising of people that care about this gospel.  

Because somebody has to receive it and somebody has to be a caretaker of the kingdom and then pass it on to these guys sitting in the back there cause failure to receive this kingdom, they are doomed.  

They might have to spend 40 years in the wilderness until we all die and God has no patience. He might have to cut our generation short. Because again, book of Daniel, it says, his kingdom is dominion and authority and it goes from one generation to the next.  

That's our scripture for today. So now you understand, I want us to understand what's going on in our world. You see all this foolishness is not because people are foolish anymore.  

It's because nobody is holding the gate anymore. If there's one, they're either not strong enough to hold the gate and God is searching right now, who shall ascend to the hill of the Lord. 

He that has clean hands that is raise nothing towards an idol and then it goes on it says the generation of them, it doesn't say a person, it says the generation so there's a generation that have to rise up.  

Which means that you and I, we have to be available to be the light and we have to grow. Lest God cast our generation short. There's so many generations in the scriptures. I want to give you a few.  

So you kind of just understand that there is a way you can destroy a generation literally there's a way you can destroy a generation. You may find when I'm done starting this, I'm going to send it to you so that we all kind of understand and look where we at.  

So there are the types of generations listed in the Bible you have the generation of evil, an evil generation. Generation that is that has poverty and we can look at our world and you will know this times this world was very poor. 

generation of curses adulterous generation perverse generation generations of vipers, then an evil generation they're actually evil then you have a faithful generation, then you have a generation of dominion, generation anointing, generation of power generation of prosperity, grieved generation.  

Then you have a chosen generation, where God chooses a generation to do something with a group of people in order to advance the cause of salvation and humanity. Remember, guys, right? I want you to think about this.  

If we are all at to receive salvation right? Every person, if he's to receive salvation, it means that you have to be alive, right? So which means hunger can kill you. If hunger kills you without receiving salvation, that's not good.  

If war kills you without receiving salvation, that's not good. So there are things that are tied to salvation that God gives mankind to advance the cause of humanity in order to keep them alive until they receive salvation.  

If we all die of hunger, that's not good for God because then we won't receive salvation. So here's how you can destroy a generation. And I want you to think about your children, your grandchildren in all this.  

If a generation doesn't know its history, it's in trouble. If a generation doesn't have people that teach perspective, it’s in trouble. A generation that has to learn things by themselves are in trouble because you're going to have to spend so much time researching rather than doing.  

A generation that doesn't have a reference point is in trouble. My grandfather used to say this, before you tear down walls, you need to figure out why were they built in the first place. And if you don't have a reference point, getting old does not fix it.  

If you were not taught as a child, getting old does not fix what you were, what are you doing here. Which means that every single one of us, we have a massive responsibility to teach our kids. And if you were not taught, there's no continuity.  

Mother Jones, can you imagine your grandchildren coming and having to figure out how to pray? When you could have easily just said, come here, this is how you pray. And how are we going to break cycles?  

And one of the reason we can break generational curses and cycles is because we don't have reference points. Nobody took time to teach even the bad things. So we hide things and we don't teach anything.  

So now it's time to figure out. That's why before my father passed, I sat down with him. I was like, I want to know everything. Bad or good, whatever it is, I want you to empty it out here.  

Why? Because I don't want to spend time going back, trying to research and figure out what happened with who. I want to know so that I can prepare myself for what's coming. And this is how we know a generation is in trouble.  

Number one, we start reducing God. Two, we belittle God and Jesus. We all can see it. Three, which is actually happening right now, we manipulate God and his statutes for our own benefits. Then we start shaming God.  

Then you start eradicating God and Jesus out of society and all this is happening. Here's another way you can kill a generation irresponsible sowing. But again, let's not forget God has a goal.  

Every man saves everybody that's His goal. And he uses you and I, those who are already in the kingdom, whether it's one man or two men, he's going to find somebody. And the proof of that He had to take Moses out of Egypt. 

And spend 40 years taking Egypt out of Moses in order to send him back and rescue a whole entire generation of people that were about to die in slavery. Because if Moses doesn't go back, they are dead in slavery.  

And God is to wait to raise the whole new people. So here we are this is our generation. Matthew 12:38-45. Everybody knows this scripture. When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places.  

Seeking what? Rest and it won't find rest. That's an evil spirit. So evil spirit is also looking for rest, right? From what? From working evil. Then the scripture is telling us that that same spirit is not going to find rest because it wasn't designed to rest and does not find it.  

Then it says, I will return to the house I left. When it arrives, it finds the house what? Swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself.  

And they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. Now listen to this next statement. That is how it will be with this wicked generation, that's us.  

In other words, all the evil spirits that you're seeing right now, they've been looking for a place to rest. and they could not find any and they went and solicited seven other powerful spirits and our whole world is now worse than it was five years ago.  

How do we deal with wickedness? We wrestle not against father right flesh and blood but against rulers end principality in the heavenly place. Key word in that verse is what wrestling. 

Now how are you going to wrestle if you are not well? That's why the scripture says do not be anxious, it's a command for you to pray. You cannot be anxious if you are to pray. The two don't go together and how do you deal with wickedness? Power and authority.  

Jesus said, all the scripture says, says Jesus had power and authority over unclean spirits. Now, when, look at when Jesus is thrown in the earth. He's not thrown in the earth. when there was peace, love and care.  

He was thrown in the earth when there was a wicked generation, adulterous at the core. Jesus then arrived. And what does he come with? Power and authority. So we don't fight all this mess with conversation.  

You can have as many podcasts as you want. That's not going to solve nothing. Because a wicked generation understands power and authority. Now, let me tell you what the enemy is looking to do to every single one of us.  

There's three things that he wants to accomplish. And I want you to be aware of this. Number one, the moment you get saved, everybody, you have the mark of the Holy Spirit on your head, everybody.  

Right now, you might not see it, but it's there that signifies that you now belong to Christ. Greater works will you do than he did. The same power that Jesus had is on you. The same authority will come on you if you, not just because you get saved, if you continue following his command and his statutes and doing all the necessary things, then authority comes. 

So the devil has three things that he wants to do. Number one, take away authority. Two, make sure that you don't have power. If you have, you doubt your power. Then three, make sure that you don't have influence.  

Because if these three disappear in any one of us, the confidence that you have to speak to your nieces and nephews, gone. The authority that you have to speak to unclean spirit, gone.  

The authority and influence that has to come from me in order to address family issues, gone. And Jesus comes and he says, right, within my kingdom, I'm now going to raise salt and light.  

What does salt do? It influences food what does light do? It bring light where there is darkness so that people can see their condition, so which means that what we are searching for in this hour, what everybody ought to be praying for is God I now need power, authority and influence to be salt and light in darkness.  

Because adulterers generation needs a powerful generation. A generation that is dealing with poverty needs what? People with hands to work in order, right? Israel, when he was hungry, it needed Joseph, who was a herdsman, and his job was to plow.  

So he goes to Egypt, and with his anointing, he helps the whole nation of Israel, of Egypt, to grow surplus food because there was poverty in another nation. So God raises a man who had the ability to feed a nation because that was a poverty stricken generation.  

So when you see adultery and a wicked generation, you have to know that what God is looking for is people who can exercise authority, power and influence. Where we have to spiritually demand some things. Right now we don't need farmers.  

We don't need anointed people to go plow food because the problem is not food. The problem is a wicked generation. But we are in this 20 year window that's about to end 2030. It's coming to an end 2030.  

All these people that are running around and tearing the White House and all these other people, by 2030, they'll be gone. If they are still here, they'll probably won't know the difference between Tuesday and Sunday.  

Which means we now need what? New leadership everywhere. We need new leadership in medicine. New leadership in church. New leadership in Sunday school. New leadership in in everything we need new leadership, new ideas.  

Because these old ideas are now antiquated. Three songs and offering and announcements on TV is not going to cut it, it's not. If it was, then we wouldn't have this mess.  

A little offering, a little prayer, you know, it's not going to do it anymore. Because we're dealing with an adulterous and wicked generation. Remember in the wilderness, right? The previous generation sentenced the next generation to 40 years in the wilderness.  

Which means that if you and I don't do what we need to do, we can sentence this generation to 40 years in the wilderness. And they're going to hang with us until we are all done.  

In order to say Joshua and Caleb the two of you everybody's dead now, Moses is gone now get up it's time to march. So I want to see this here is uh is challenging me, it's challenging me. 

In that we now need we now need a new church that can deal with a wicked generation, a church that is authority power and influence because that's how you deal with a wicked generation. We don't need uh, farmers, double portion people.  

This is the mandate that God is giving the next generation of leaders. And every single one of you, you are not, you are a leader of your family, your nephews and cousins.  

You know, think about this, Dorothy and uh and Deborah, how long how many years do you think you need to talk to your nieces and nephews before you get frustrated and just say you know what I'm getting old doing this. 

I'm gonna need to just go sit over here and check. How long do you think Mother Jones you need to sit this boy down and say hey how many years, if we haven't done it by now?  

Where it doesn't weigh you down to where you are miserable and just starting to question God. How many years do we have? Which means now we now need authority, power and influence where we say this is and you know what Calvin?  

I'm so glad we're doing this this early morning devotion thus says the Lord because he's teaching you and I that when it comes to God when he says once he speaks that's it, it's not negotiable without coming in and having you know, what do you think. 

I'm not sure does it really say two or one, it is this is what it is get in line or move off we can't negotiate with the devil but we will do so if we don't understand authority and power and influence all right. 

So we Nadia we have, we have work to do because we are not letting our kids live in the wilderness with us no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no we're gonna have to now we are in that era guys. 

I'm telling you and it's not like we have to do much we just have to be willing to say God I'm available because that question when it was like who shall ascend to the hill of the Lord that was not for just a few. 

It was for everybody, who is willing to ascend to the hill of the Lord and it gives the criteria and that criteria is not because you have clean hands. He will make you clean if you desire to go and you will get power and authority when you get up there. 

So that when you come back and you say by my word there will be no rain or dew in seven years and you walk away. And heaven is shut for seven years no rain no dew because we gotta dry out this devil so that if he's coming to feed there's nothing to feed on. 

We can't let our kids die with this mess and end up having to spend 40 years in cycles of mess. But again, I want you to remember this, 1939 to 1950, the world was settling and morphing into something.  

19 year 2000, to year 2030, the world is morphing and settling into something. Whatever we allow the devil to do, that will cement their legacy. This is what it's going to be. Do we want surely our children to live in a world where nobody knows what truth is?  

And this is only happening because somebody went to sleep. And again, the devil is taking advantage that all the seasoned veterans can't pray anymore. And nobody is holding the gate and pushing the enemy back.  

He's just having a filled day. So we have a job to do. We really have a job to do. I'm gonna continue starting this generation and I, and God has just been revealing some things in me and just quickening the way I'm thinking about, you know, what's coming because some things don't need to be talked to.  

Quick story, then we go. Uh, this past two weeks went to Kenya Jesse's over here. We went to Kenya for Mission Trip. Last year we walked at this school, probably the largest school we have ever dealt with.  

And when we walked on this school last year, there was no students. There was nobody. It was everybody closed school. So we just coming to do an assessment to look at the school and just walk around.  

And the moment we walk through that gate for those who are listening Jesse probably was listening and I was like there's a spirit of witchcraft here and it's so strong then of course you know how we're cynical. 

Oh man I was like yeah there's a spirit of witchcraft here because one of the telltale signs right is dysfunction filthy and unorganized like you just like why would anybody do that, it's just everywhere. 

And now there is instances when God shows you something, then he has to take you on a whole journey and grow your faith and deal with you and study some things, learn some things so that with next year or the year for when you come back, you are stronger than you were two years ago and you can address this head on.  

And we worked on that school and I'm telling you, you could see it. And now this time they were kids. And you could see it everywhere. Things that's happening. A lot of people got sick on this mission trip.  

We have one kid who wanted to exchange a $50 shillings note to a 50 US. And you're thinking this is rural. He doesn't, this kid has never been on a bus. How does he know US and shillings different, unless he was sent.  

Who sent him? None of these kids have any money. This is one of the poorest regions in this country. So who has 50 shillings? Brand new. Unless he was sent. And that reminded me, because my grandmother used to say this when we visited, don't accept money from anybody in this village.  

And don't give anybody money in this village because they're gonna go take it and go work on it and bring it back and take it and you are in trouble. Second day, there was a man, I don't know if you saw this man, Jesse, old man who used to sit on a chair on the corner, I'm like, who's that guy?  

Why is it old guy, very old? Like, oh, he's a music teacher. I'm like, I've never seen nobody sing here. He's sitting in the corner. Every day just take him, they move him, hold him, and they put him in a chair and he sits over there.  

And then there's kids that will stare you in the eye. And this is one school we've been to that had a lot of disabled kids. And I know from Africa, if anybody gives birth to disabled kids, the first solution, the first solution is go see a wish doctor.  

What happened? And Jesse can confirm none of these kids could listen. You hear me? You will say, hey, sit over here. They'll look at you and they'll stare you in the eye. Like, what are you going to do? And you realize this was not a negotiation.  

Let's talk, sit down. Let's really have a. No, it was like, hey, hey, hey, get up. We'll fall in line and we're going to fight you. At one point, literally, my sister was like, I think let's just get our stuff and leave the last day.  

He's like, I can't get anybody around to sit over here so we can do this presentation. He's like, you know what guys, maybe we need to just take our stuff and leave. And I was like, yeah, give me two minutes.  

Hey, everybody go now. Because again, I'm saying to you guys, where we are, you can negotiate with people who are lost. We have to be the light, authority, power and influence. That's what we need in this hour in order to deal with an adulterous generation.  

So in the next coming five years before 2030, that's what we are going for. Authority, power and influence. because this enemy we're gonna have to address him head on when God sent Joshua and Caleb to Jericho. 

He didn't say hey now go and talk to them people says I have given you victory because of your belief 40 years ago when nobody could believe. I'm putting on you now power and authority, tell everybody march.  

And there was no way to say, I don't think I can walk, we are marching. Everybody quiet. I don't want you to say nothing. If you say something, I'm killing you myself. Line up and everybody was quiet.  

All the kids silent like church mouse. Seven times we match when I say shout everybody I don't want to see I don't want to hear, I can't talk I you know this is not my thing, it's for other people that's not what we are doing. When I say shout everybody shouts and I'll kill somebody and surely because this assignment demanded authority. 

Because look at what look at who they are going for a fortified city, they've never seen a city like this ever fortified. How are you going to negotiate with the fortified city where you can't even go behind the wall, a wicked and adulterous generation. 

And we are all this generation is looking for signs every day. One prophet in Zimbabwe was like hey Jesus is coming on Thursday and then he shifted to Saturday and another day and everybody just keep believing it's a wicked generation.  

The only way this generation is going to believe is when you can say and say thou says the Lord. And they're like, whoa. You're not telling them scripture. Say, oh, this is what the Bible says. Like, I don't believe in the Bible.  

And then what? I mean, our nieces and our nephews, they are learning so much stuff at school. You're trying over here, you are just like, oh, all my friends have it. So it's a new thing that everybody does.  

Well, you'll be like, oh, well, everybody's doing it. I guess you don't want to be the only one. All right, we're going to end here. But we have five years, we have five years, we have five years.  

For God to now start establishing us in the spirit and the things that we are doing. If you used to pray one hour, let's get it to two. If you used to study the Bible once a year, do it twice. If you have one favorite Bible book, add three more. Right? Do not be stale.  

This is not the time for it. We cannot be stale. When the enemy comes in like a flood, God will raise what? Standard. So we have to be standards. Standard bearers. Your level of worship has to have a standard.  

Your level of prayer has to have a standard. Your level of request from the Lord has to have a standard. You can't pray the same way you were praying in 1980 and now it's not gonna work if you are fasting three days a year let's get it to six. 

And let's grow because in the next day in the next five days I'm telling you guys God is looking for anybody who's willing to ascend to the hill because this devil has to has to have somebody to meet it, so we can't be afraid.  

We can't be intimidated. We can't give in. When we are talking to nieces, you can't just be like, you know, that's not my children. No, we're not doing that. I will cut you sit down. I will cut you. I'm telling you. I'll murder you before the devil does.  

It's getting on because again, this devil is not playing because when he comes to them, he's not like, oh, can you please? He just said, huh. We just read the scripture. He goes and finds seven more powerful to make our kids worse.  

So we have a job to do. Uh, grandmas, grandfathers, this is, this is not like, I did my work. I need to put my legs up. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I want you to, like Caleb, to say, I'm 80 now and I'm stronger than I was 40 years ago.  

And I want my mountain and I want it now. You have seen way too much to let this devil just run around like he's running around right now, so may the Lord bless you, may the Lord equip you. 

May strengthen you and give you wisdom to know his word to know and to understand what he is doing and to know that power dominion authority and influence has been given to us to match this season.  

So I pray a special blessing on everybody that may God equip you with what you need in this hour, to be a general that he can lean on and trust to push the word of God for we know he is near and there's a generation that need rescuing. 

I pray this prayer and give God glory for all that He's doing for keeping us safe in our travels and all the things that we are doing on the roads, on the highways, on the plains, with all these numerous challenges around us. We are seen, we love God, we love one another, we have good families.
