"Faith"
Father, we thank you this evening. Hallelujah, Papa Abba. Our great daddy God. You're so, so good to us. We thank you, Lord, that we are coming with a grateful heart to just give what has been in our hearts to give on faith tonight.
And we thank you that you will direct our words and give us that that we need to continue to walk in faith, putting feet to our faith, becoming strong in our faith. Knowing who we are.
And Father God in Jesus name we see from the word that the Holy Spirit, the great one, who dwells in us, he is our helper.
We recognize this vital part in our prayer life, and as we intercede, we acknowledge the importance of allowing him to take hold together with us within us. We are willing to be vessels of honor being ready for your use.
We will to heal our Members as instruments of righteousness. We will to present our body a living sacrifice to you, Father, so that the Holy Spirit can flow through us.
He can work to bring the will of God in us and we ask you, Holy Spirit, when we are in prayer, that you will pray for us and with us when we don't know how to pray.
We ask you to be our helper, lead us, guiding us, instructing us in the way that we should go. We will draw us in faith to call as you cause the will of God to come to pass in Jesus name in our lives, Amen.
Thank you, Lord and before I get into my topic on Faith, I want to just thank and praise God for the blessings that pastor Zee prayed over us on Friday.
I got to relisten to it today. We just thank God for a leader who is so concerned about everything that God is concerned about his people and we thank you.
And we just speak the blessings that you spoke over us, back to you and your family, that we will receive every word that you gave to us because we need it now, Amen. And so with faith being my topic today.
I want to go first of all to Habakkuk 2, Habakkuk 2 says but the vision is yet for an appointed time 2:2, excuse me, and the Lord answered me and said write the vision and make it plain upon tables that he may run that readeth it.
For, the vision is yet for an appointed time, but then it shall speak and not lie or tarry wait for it because it will surely come. It will not tarry. Behold his soul, which is lifted up, is not upright in him.
But and this is where I'm headed, but just Shelley by faith. And as I read the scripture, I said wait, that's somewhere else in the word. And so I went to Romans 1 and the last part of the 17 verse says and the just shall live by faith.
So I was like, ok. And then also we go to Galatians. And in Galatians 3:11 part and the end of the 11th verse, it says it is evident because of the good works. The just shall live by faith.
And it's encouraging us that you know, yes, there will be times that we will have to push through. You know it will be worse, but still, as we learn to live by faith it will become a task that we can overcome.
Because Philippians 1:6 says You're 1 faithful to perform one your word, which is what we have, is faithful to perform.
We will be like a tree planted by the rivers of waters. We will grow in faith and we shall not be moved. And as I read that, I thought about a song as I was growing up and said it said I shall not be moved. I shall not be moved.
Just like a tree planted by the rivers of waters. I shall not be moved. And when we are walking, when we're learning to walk in faith, we have to speak it before it becomes reality in our lives to be bold, to be strong in it.
But to be let it manifest itself in us to the point that we see what we are saying and as we say what we see, then it becomes so real that we get the strength that we need to become mighty warriors.
Giant killers. Sleeping in Lion den walking through the fiery furnace and not smelling like smoke because we know the 4th man in the fire will always be our God. He will be our helper.
He will be the one to keep us with imperfect peace because the scripture says in psalms one 191:65. Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall make them stumble or fall. In great faith, we remember that even when we go to with the woman with the issue of blood.
Jesus said that her faith made her whole. And when he heard after they had tarried some with the woman with the issue of blood, and the servant came and said trouble not the master anymore because your daughter's already died. And those words Jesus immediately said fear not, you know just believe.
So we have to have that kind of faith. But the great faith is even beyond with Peter stepping out of the boat. Because with him, as I said on Wednesday when he stepped out of the boat, the storm was still rising.
The wind was blowing and he did not understand it then, but until he took his eyes off of the word calm that Jesus gave him, he walked on water. But immediately looking at the circumstances, which is what causes us to let our faith dwindle and not become strong in the power of the might of God.
When he decided when he saw with his natural eyes, his spirit became not the part that was ruling over him. He cried and Jesus was there to help him. And when they got back in the boat Jesus said this was little faith.
And you were like walking on the water's little faith. But as we always remember, that's all we need is a little bit of faith. We used to sing a song also it said faith, faith, faith, just a little bit of faith.
We don't need a whole lot. But we got to use what we got. Faith, faith, faith just a little bit of faith. And it goes to the word because it said all we need is the mustard seed faith smallest seed they say.
So it's not the amount being big, it's using the faith that you have to help it to grow because in all the words that we get and the things that we do, we know that our faith keeps us as we keep our eyes on Jesus instead of what's going on around us.
Instead of us listening to what's being said around us, but to be walking in that that we know which is the word of God. He is our protection. He is our God. He is our leader. He helps us to be confident in being assured that when we speak the word of God.
That mountain moving kind of faith, walking on water faith, blessed assurance, faith. Blessing assurance whereas the peace that steals the storm, that kind of faith is going through the fire.
Helps us to realize and remember that as we walk through the valley, we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. We will fear no evil because our shepherd, he keeps us and we will lack no good thing, even when it looks as if we are at the end of our rope.
Know there's sometimes people will say, well, you know, they got on my last nerve. That should never be. What do you mean your last nerve? We need all the nerves. That's why they are in our bodies.
So we don't allow ourselves to get to that point. Like ok Vicky, you saying? Do you do that all the time? But I'm thanking the Lord that I'm learning first of all study to be quiet. Which is being one of my tasks.
Oh Lord help me in what I'm doing in my life to be slow, to speak swift, to hear and slow to anger. Because that way, as I'm encouraging, encouraging others, I'm encouraging is that mirror that I'm looking at saying Lord as I speak these things better become real in me, that I will speak those things that I know are true.
And only those things that I know are true and basically is right now in these times, it's only gonna be of God. Because it said believe half of what you see and none of what you hear because things will operate in such a way.
That when you do speak what you're saying and say what you're speaking, it becomes real. Because the word is true, the word will always be truth. As we continue in the faith of God and having that God kind of faith.
Once we know the truth and the authority that we have in God, the solid Rock Jesus Christ, who gives us constant assurance triumphing over all things, knowing that we will not be defeated.
The scripture says no weapon formed. So that means we have the faith that although we see that mountain. We speak to it and we believe we trust and we desire to say it shall be, as the word says, it shall be, because we're speaking it through the power and the authority that God has given us.
When we allow the anointing, the Holy Ghost Jesus Christ to lead and guide us in our daily lives. We become warriors knowing that the weapons of our warfare are mighty to God, through God, for the pulling down of all the strongholds that we are fighting.
And that's why when we go to Ephesians 6 it says wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God. This is our fate that we're using that we may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand.
These days are evil. There are things that's happening that you know, in my almost 70 years coming up my birthday. Never would have thought such things would have taken place, but the scriptures say stand therefore having your lawns good about was true.
That's the faith of God. Having on the breastplate of righteousness. and our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith we should be able to quench all the fiery dots of the wicked. We have a battle we must fight, but we must know how to fight.
And as we take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, this is always going to be what we're building on God's word. Because it's that true and solid foundation.
No weapon formed. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all. And for us that utterance may be given to us so that we open our mouth bold to make known the mystery of the gospel.
But we cannot we will be ambassadors and bombs that there may speak boldly as we ought to speak. Because we cannot be timid. We cannot be fearful and those things will come.
We in this flesh those desires of wanting to not fight the battle that we see in front of us because we like to see it already done. We like to know that it's gonna happen, but there will be times we just have to be as Abraham to take that journey without knowing where we're going.
But as long as we're staying in the word, we will know that we can boldly speak as we ought to. Having the faith of God to keep us, to guide us to help us and to direct us in knowing who we are in him.
So when we have giants. Goliath killing giants. Water walking faith to seek the points in the places where we must have it in our hearts so that it comes to pass as we see it in the word, believing it, speaking it, and knowing that what God's word has said to us by faith, it is already done.
We cannot be without a consistent continuation of actions processing in line upon line. Faith-based procedures of yes and Amen. We have what we say. We believe it, we do it. Faith is building that in our muscles to say God's love is shared in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.
So as we speak in peace. Peace with the love of God being shared about in our hearts and the joy which is our strength from the Almighty God, we continue to seek his face knowing that the things that we see.
The things that are in front of us, we still and we will become victorious in what we are doing because we will seek his face first, knowing that he is our great, I am he is God. He is in control.
He has all things already worked out because he went to the end and came back to the beginning to show us. This is his word. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.
And our testimonies only come when we're speaking in in faith, knowing that without a doubt, with assurance his blessed assurance that he is our great God.
There is no if, ands, or buts. It's just yes, and Amen. The great and mighty God that we serve every day, always waking up, going to sleep throughout the day, having it in everything that we say, everything that we do, the people around us as we keep them covered.
Keeping ourselves covered. We will know that the faith of God is strong and as we put our feet to action with the faith that we believe God has given us, we will know that we are victorious in God. Father God, we thank you for your word.
We as you Lord to continue to help us to walk in the way of knowing that your faithful, your mountain moving faith will carry us, will help us guide us, lead us, correct us, even directors thought and your protection will be there forever.
We ask you, Lord, to continue to help your word to come from vessels that are desired, to speak truth to our brothers and our sisters to know that each word that you've given us that we've given to them will be a blessing and will help us to know.
We are mighty in God to the pulling down of strongholds, but we are walking in Faith, Lord, and we will use the faith that we have that you've given to us to become mighty warriors and learning.
I think Mother Jones has gone out she's having power issues before the call. Umm, we'll see if she comes back. Umm Pastor Zee. Yeah, I think she's having power issues.
Yeah Pastor Zee can you share a few words? You know all right. You know, like you know, when you when you think about what Mother Jones is sharing this journey of faith, I mean pretty much your whole existence in salvation is centered around faith.
It's impossible to think that you could worship God, that you don't know. Never seen then believe in Jesus, who you have heard of and never experienced and then to live in relationships.
We're all sitting here because of relationships and to believe that, you know, I have your best interest and you have my best interests. It takes faith. It takes faith to trust somebody to tell them about what you're going through.
It takes faith to hear somebody say or give you an instruction or, you know, speak anything that you could take and say, you know what I want to run with that. So this whole issue of faith, faith is a language that God created to bond all things together.
Even people who are not saved have faith. You know, and I think we did a lesson a few years ago on the three branches of faith right, that's why it has to grow.
That's why it says your faith has to grow. Your faith has to be tested. Your faith cannot exist in a vacuum. Your faith has to be objective.
Because in order to do anything, you have to have it. If you get into your house and say I'm going to the store, you don't think about it's faith. What makes you think you're going to go to the store and come back?
The chair that you are all sitting on. Nobody said, man, if I sit on this chair, can it hold my weight? We don't ask that. We just do it subconsciously because inherently, God has put it inside of us to have faith.
But that faith, that initial faith that he has in it. It has to be grown to something else that is totally unique and totally powerful. Because a CEO was not saved can stand in front of the company and say next year we're going to make $20 million, that's faith.
Because is the is believing in things that don't exist. But when you come to Christ that faith has to be is the initial start to get you to start developing a whole different type of faith.
That's why it was credited for Abraham for righteousness. Why? Because he believed he had faith in something that says hey, come this way and I'll show you where I'm going.
He has no reference point. He has no idea where he's going, but get out of your people. And come this way and I'm going to put you on a journey. That you don't even know where I'm going, this is before cell phones before maps.
You know, he has no idea where he is going and then God says to him because you believed I'm going to make a covenant with you.
That anybody would believe I'm going to make you a great nation unto thyself, and anybody who believes in you in your journey, anybody who undertake anything,
This is why for all of us the moment you become a Christian that journey starts leading you to something else. Leaving everything that you have always known, pursuing something that you don't know, but you know it's there.
But you're not sure what it is, but you know if I keep going this way I'll get to my destination, so it's really salvation is really about faith. Without it, it's difficult to function in this Kingdom without faith. It's difficult to get anything in heaven. Any transaction you make in this Kingdom is going to demand that you pay, anything.
If you want something from God, if you kneel down to pray, if you want an answer. Oh you have to have faith that's why I said if you believe when you pray. You have to have faith, so it's such a remarkable thing when you think about that we are instructed to grow in faith.
That we can be domain we have to grow in faith. So that instruction demands that your faith is elevated. Which let me let me segue into this because I think it's important as a believer every year you have to have something that you like I want.
I want to grow in into something. You can't just be here. We all have to have things that when we think about, we are like man is beyond me.
But I'm believing that with this God, I will get. There we all have to. Starting a business, writing a book, doing something you have never done before. Saying I want to travel somewhere, go somewhere, because all those things that we do that are outside of the realm of our comfort.
Always increases your faith even a small little thing like taking a trip to New York if you've never been to New York. It increases your faith, even a small thing. Again, let me use Calvin and Veronica. They watch, you know, worship center online.
Then you get on the road and say I'm gonna drive to this place I saw you don't know anybody. You're not sure how you'd be received. You're not sure if what you saw online is the real thing, right?
But that doorway, that action of faith, leads you into something that you like oh my God. I didn't know behind this door that is open there is much more. This is why we all have to have something that will be like man.
I want to access it through the door and see what's behind it because until you access something. Until you access the door, you never know what's behind the room. I think you've heard me say that every level in life is locked, right?
Every level, everything that you want to do that is above you is locked. God locked a level because he doesn't want a legitimate people to access without the proper amount of faith. Devil locks a level because he doesn't want you to access what rightfully belongs to you.
You can lock your own level if you don't have faith. So this level above us is locked until you find the right combination of faith. Mother Jones just says something remarkable. She says you might not have it.
But in order, if you what do you do if you don't have enough to access, what you need to do, you put something on it. Grow in faith you go and grow a little bit and you come back and do something again.
Then you go and grow it again. You do something again until you have the full measure of faith. Then you can access what seems to be impossible. It's remarkable how the journey of faith is tied to time and also to God, making sure that you cannot access what you have in faith.
Until you grow the strength to receive what you have, you want in faith. Quick story, I'll talk about Calvin here. You know when we started all this give me two minutes, sorry. When we started or, you know, morning devotions and you know, all the things that we are doing.
One of the things that Calvin is about is very particular. Very methodical right, so everything has to be planned in order and you got to follow step one, Step 2, Step 3 great. So the days that you know something happens.
You know, Calvin is like ok. Where’s this ? Where's that? Where's that? Now you fast forward to now. If something happens, there's a glitch somewhere. I’m late or whatever it is, right.
Now he just rolls into it and his roller is not rolling in it because of experience because sometimes we think it's experience, but it's not really experience. It's just that the level of trust that he now has in that God who is over everything.
And can interject and come your way and get you that is faith. It's not experience it's faith that man, somebody can just say, do you want to say something and he'll be like, all right, I'll say something.
It is faith. Believing that what the word says will happen is to says don't worry about anything that. Don't worry about what you say on that day, because I will give you something to say.
Now, I'm not saying we can't prepare, but I'm saying that it takes a level of growth in faith in order to understand that all things work together for those who are called according to his purpose.
So you then realize in all this that in every little thing that we do for the Kingdom doesn't matter what it is. It doesn't matter how simple it looks. Faith is involved. There is nothing we are going to do in this Kingdom that does not require us to have faith.
Absolutely nothing, because the journey has to start by faith and it ends by faith. Hope, faith and love. Hope, faith and love, the greatest of these is love. But there’s three, they work together. You can love without faith. You can have hope without faith, you can lift your hands without faith.
You can’t pray without faith, you can't read scripture without faith. If you read without faith, you are just a scholar. That's all it is. So this language is really a language of faith that we want to make sure that it's part of our culture.
That it is just part of our culture. That everything that you do faith has to be involved raising your kids. You have to believe that God is a plan for them. Putting them in this school, you have to believe that God is a plan for them.
Waking up in the morning has to believe that God has a plan today for me. It takes faith. It takes faith to say, give us today Our Daily Bread because, you're believing that today God is going to give you something.
But the overall big point that Mother Jones was stressing is that we have to grow that faith. That's why it says you of little faith. Which means if you have little, you can have what medium, you can have large, you can have great.
Remember we talked about the gift of faith. People who are gifted in faith, they only talked about people who have to grow their faith. And all of us, we have to grow our faith. And the way we grow our faith is to place a demand in our beliefs.
You have to place a demand on your beliefs. This year I have to do something I've never done before. And that is going to demand that I use my faith to do it. When you get to the other side of it. You know Oh, I've grown in faith.
That's why, James says, show me your faith and show me the works that go in hands with that faith. It does not exist. You can't just walk and say I faith, I faith, I faith show me through your works. Not your deeds, your works.
And what is your works? What you believed God for? And you can say I obtained that through faith. Show me that. So we want to grow our faith. We got to do something we have never done before.
As long as you are living, you have to believe that God has. Because what is faith? Substance of things, foster and evidence of things not yet seen. Which means that if you have faith something is coming.
As long as you have faith, something is coming. But you have to believe that it is coming. And what is that thing? God knows. But if I grow my faith, whatever is coming. The growth of my faith determines how big whatever is coming is going to be.
If you don't grow your faith. It determines also how small what's coming. So if we want some things that's why we have to stretch ourselves. Stretch, stretch your thoughts. Stretch your mind. Stretch your thinking. Stretch your belief. Stretch it.
Don't do the same thing that you did last year Nadia stretch it. Stretch that belief. Where can I go? What can I accomplish? Because the Jesus that is coupled with you, right. The church is the what? The bride, right? And here's the groom.
So when a groom and a bride meets, they produce what, something. So if you are the bride and Jesus is the group and is in covenant with you. That means you have to produce something that has never been seen.
Our children are the evidence of our faith. Something that has never been seen before is now being seen. And that only happened because of faith. So let us grow our faith, because when you hear Mother Jones talk about giants. Of course, we are quick to refer to giants in the scriptures.
But it can be anything that looks extremely impossible. And then you do it. And in that moment, your faith is grown. And when your faith produces an experience then you remember what God did?
That's why you see in the scripture over and over again. You hear people say and God remembered or he reminded me. Why was he reminding me? Because sometimes we forget.
So let's grow our faith. Mother Jones, thank you for that study. Let's grow our faith, and I also encourage every single one of you. Mother Jones, like when we when you do, when we do teachings like this.
There's two things we have to account for. Number one, what made me attracted to this because you could have picked anything. Or if somebody picked it for you still what made me attracted to faith?
Then as much as you are teaching it, let it also encourage you because, it's not just about teaching, but it's also that your experiences becomes a living epistles.
So I encourage everybody whatever subject that is that you're studying and you have to teach on Bible study. Make sure that when you, when you're done teaching it, don't just put it aside.
Man, that was good. Gotta ask yourself, why is God asking me today in this season to teach on faith? What is it about me pertaining to this subject matter that I need to do because there's a reason. It's not random. There's a reason.
So everybody, I encourage you whatever subject that you are going to teach on, make sure you grow on it. When you're done keep going, don’t stop. Because again it's always going to be about growth, Amen.
Any questions for Mother Jones? Or any additions Mother Jones, I know you were praying when you Mark, can you hear me? Oh, there we are, ok. Ok, you we can hear you now, Mother Jones, ok.
No it’s the subject itself has really been since I decided that I wanted to speak on it a lot has been coming to me through the word and just really getting into it to find out where I am in my faith.
So I was speaking to myself more than anything because with me, my it's my family. That this makes it more open to me saying where am I to help us as a family in the faith walk because with me being in it as long as I have, when I learn things from what I'm gathering, it helps me to say ok.
This is a subject that I need to really work on with my faith, not just speaking it. But that it become alive, that it become real. That, you know my Giants is what I'm seeing. And I'm saying so that when I speak it and looking in that mirror.
I'm like, let me walk in this to a point where I can draw others, especially those in my household, because that's what my faith walk is right now, Amen.
You know, Mother Jones is just saying it reminds you of something that Pastor Zee was always, you know, really emphasizing to everyone is that when we're preparing a morning devotion or Bible study.
Don't just think about the person or persons who you're trying to say. Yeah, this person or these people really need to hear this message. I'm seeing this person. Listen, it's not about that. It's about talking to yourself first, like you were saying, because we all fall short, and this word is not jab at someone.
Or to get at someone. It's really to encourage and grow, you know, one another, starting with ourselves. Was just say, take the blank out of your own eyes first that's what it says and thank you.
Any words of encouragement to those who are going to come behind you next starting next week it as it started getting closer to today because even from Wednesday to today it was like, yes, you know, it's like I'm ready to do it so I could just get it out of the way.
But I had to listen to what I was saying to know that as Pastor Zee said, it's more to it than where I was in what I just gathered, because faith is we get we have to live it as we walk in it.
And so it's the words that God will give you on what you're going to speak. Let him do it, and then you'll know that what you're preparing will be what the people of God need as you know, we're just praying the Lord.
The words that we have, it's to help the ones who's coming and the ones who's listening. And then it becomes more of a blessing to you as well as to the ones that's going to hear it.
Amen, Amen and on that note, I'm going to just read a quick list of who's coming up so you all will know. Um next week, March 16th, will be Monica, March 23rd will be Nina, March 30th Kim, April 6 Mary, April 13th Nadia, April 20th Dorothy and April 27th Debbie.
And don't worry about length. You don't have to go through the whole hour, you know, as Mother Jones is encouraging you be led by the Holy Spirit, you know, say no more or no less than what the spirit is telling you.
Don't try to fill in the gaps, you know, because then you start getting into your stuff, and I'm guilty of that so. Keep praying, keep faithful and it's ok. Not everybody knows what their topic are.
And if you happen to pick the same topic as someone else is, it's fine, as Pastor Zee was saying, there's a reason. You know, if more than one person is covering the same topic, there's a reason for it. Allow yourself to be led by that reason and God will give a word a confirming word, he may he may invite you.
He may even inspire different levels of understanding and revelation in a topic. So don't even measure yourself by if somebody else is doing the same topic ok. But I will let you know if someone else is doing the same topic as you are.
If you decide you wanna work together on it, that's entirely up to you. But you don't have to, ok? Pastor Zee and guys always remember this nobody knows what you have prepared, nobody.
So in the process of delivering anything, if you forget something in the process of doing it, don't hammer yourself because we don't know what was on the list. If God sways you a different way just go with it. Don't fight it. My father-in-law always said to me, son, if you fight the Holy Spirit, you lose all the time.
All the time. So it's, it's not about being right. It's about being used. And you don't know what God has in store for all of us. You're just doing your part. But in the process, that's why sometimes you're like, man, I was all over the place.
I've heard people say this, man, I think I was all over the place. Well, God wanted you to go all over the place. Because there were 16 people that were all over the place. And everybody had to hear something.
So we tend to, it's just the trick of the enemy. We tend to judge ourselves in how we think we should have gone, and again, isn't that. You know what, guys? When you when you feel confused or in a little bind, always go back to the garden.
Always go back to the Garden of Eden. What was the problem with Adam? He allowed his mind to go to a place it wasn't supposed to go and he became something else and God was like, wait I told you that which is what he says to all of us when we think we've made our mistakes.
Like who told you that? Who told you left a point? Who told you made a mistake? I didn't tell you that is this thing that the enemy sells to us, that one we have to be perfect, which does not exist again.
Always go back to the garden. And always remember, we are all living a life that we were not meant to live. That's not what God intended in the first place in the garden after we sinned and he says these are now the new conditions that was outside of the original intent.
So we are trying to go back to that and what are we trying to go back to that where he tells us and we do. Where we obey when he says, where we move, when he says, move where he says, sit down and sit down.
Just doing the will of the Father, not the will of your mind or what you think is right. So always remember somebody is going to learn from your mistakes. Even in teaching. Which means that there are no losers. There are no mistakes because all things work together.
So I wanna be free to be what God is expressing through you and live the rest to him to fix what needs to be fixed. So I'm looking forward to it because again, this is this is a process that will grow all of us.
It will grow you. It will grow me. It will grow anybody, because you're gonna hear somebody teach somebody do something that they and again right for me. I enjoy this because this is where you get to see that oh.
At least what I'm saying is not falling on deaf ears because somebody now is able to do something that I didn't see them do. And always ask for God to give you revelation. Don't forget that part, give me revelation.
