Jesus Has Prepared a Place for You
In John 14:2, Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions.” There is an emphasis on “house.” Just as Jesus is preparing a house for us, we must prepare a house for Jesus. The most important thing is to build our house on the rock.
Three months in the year, we have seen a pastor kick a Bible on Super Bowl. You know, play football with the Bible on the pulpit.
And actually set the whole stage into a football field and there was a ref and his wife was holding the Bible as the kicker holder and he kicked the Bible.
In this same month we have washed the pastor get a haircut on the pulpit, illustrations. In the same month we have watched another pastor pour syrup on the Bible.
In the same month, we've watched another pastor tell everybody we want to buy land and grow weed and attract young men to church like the gospel is not enough.
There's all this despicable stuff that's going on in church. And now we actually now have another responsibility to defend the faith. Not from the world, but from the people in the same house, right.
Just as much as we are all family here. If I see Erica do something. I'm going to be like, no, no, no, no what are we doing here? And you know, Erica knows there's too many times I've come on like, wait a minute, hold on what happened over here?
Or I think it should be pushing yourself over here more, right? Because that's the responsibility of a home, of a house. So we are all in God's family, right, and we have this responsibility as much as we defend our own faith, our own selves, we have to defend the faith, right.
So let's let's look at this very quickly. So yeah, some of you might have seen this before, but yesterday when I was reading, I was going through some stuff I saw something, you know that I want us to go through here today alright.
So, on that right, you see, the Scripture says in my Father's house, many mansions, right. Then Jesus then says I will go and prepare a place for you so that where I am you are also. Then another scripture says your body is a temple.
Your body is a house for the Holy Spirit. So, in other words, this spirit that God used to create the whole world, the spirit that gave birth to Jesus, the spirit that inspired these scriptures now He’s saying your body is a house for the Lord.
Then another scripture says offer that same house, your body as the living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. So, there's this emphasis of home, house, temple, which are interchangeable words, right?
So when you look at this here, you see the 1st House, which is you, right comprises of your spirit, the soul and the body, right, God is spirit. The body comes from dirt, the spirit then, right, there is the body and produces a soul, which is what comes from God, right.
Then on the 2nd house you have a family where a husband marries a wife and produces children. Then on the third one you have headship marrying leadership and producing members.
Then on number 4, you have a city church. You have a city headship marrying the local church and producing a family. Then you have Kingdom headship, which is God, Jesus marrying the church and then producing the church the local churches.
So, God Jesus then says in my Father's house there are many mansions. There are different places that houses different things and different categories of this spiritual environment.
So, if you can be content by just being number one over here, which is the individual, that means you might never explore until you get to the other mansions in my father's house.
Not in my house in my Father's house, there are many mansions, not house, many levels of spiritual life. This is why we have the responsibility to grow, because if you come to church as a believer because you were sick and somebody prayed for you.
You only see Jesus as a healer but your job is not to stay where you see Jesus as a healer, you have to see Jesus as the total package. So what we do most times is how we enter into this faith if we are not careful, we can stagnant and stay there because this is my reference point.
I can use my brother here, I was a drug addict then I got saved. So you know what I see God, I will see Jesus as my savior only. But now Jesus saying in my Father's house there are many mansions.
Now the responsibility of homes is to receive, to give love, to produce so the question becomes now when Jesus finds you what is He producing with you? Because you are the church, right, so when Jesus marries the church, He produces something.
So the question is that when He marries you what is He producing? That's the question that all of us have to ask ourselves individually, personally, in our own time. What is Jesus producing with me.
When I met April, we got married. We produced these kids. Now it is the evidence of our relationship so the question now becomes, what is the evidence of your relationship with Christ?
What is that producing? So in my Father's house, there are so many things to see and in all those things to see, you have to find something that you say my God, this is why I am here. But in order to know why you are in the faith, you have to explore the whole entire menu so you can find your place.
But you can't find your place if you haven't explored the whole menu cause how do you know? Because if Jesus is just a healer to you then what, you're going to have to find another sickness so he can continue to prove himself to you.
Or are you going to have to say no He is something else. Cause in my Father's house there are many mansions, So what I want us to look at, I want us to look at this, this theme of house and see how the enemy tries to fight us.
In finding the total aspects of who God is not that we can find the total aspect, who God is, but at least the scripture says grow in the knowledge of who God is. So, Matthew 7: 24 says this, everyone then who hears these words of mine.
Does them will be like a man who build what house number 1, and the rain fell, and the floods came and the winds blew and the bid of the house but it did not fall because it had been founded on the rock.
And everyone who hears these words of mine does and does not do them you'll be like a foolish man who built a house on sand. The rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat against the house and it fell in great and great was the fall of it.
Hebrews 3:4, I'll give you a bunch of scriptures. For every house is built by someone but the builder of things mansions my Father's house, the builder of all things is God. So in other words in order for you to build your house, you can't build it without the builder of all things.
So, which means whatever you do anything that you do, anything that you do, you have to consider the builder of what all things. 2nd Corinthians 5:1, for we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed we have a building from God.
A house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. This is what Jesus talking about, there's a house waiting for you that's not built by hands its built by the builder of all things, who is God.
John 14:2, We had we read this in my Father's house many rooms, right, if it were not so I would have told you. So, Jesus is like, would I have told you that I'll go and prepare a place for you?
He says I wouldn't have told you that if this whole arena has many different rooms waiting. Psalms 23:6, We know this one, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
Proverbs 24: 3, By wisdom, a house is built and by understanding it is established by knowledge, the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches in my Father's house, there are many mansions.
There are things to see, places to go, spirits to explore, power to experience. Then let's go to Ephesians 2:20, build on the foundation of the Apostles, Prophets, Christ Jesus himself being what the cornerstone.
This is what we have to build our life on. The foundation that was laid by the Apostles and then Jesus made himself the cornerstone. So, in other words, whatever you do, you've got to consider the cornerstone.
And then we have to look at the works of the apostles and then build from there onwards. So which means that you and I, right, we don't have a responsibility of digging up a foundation because it was already built.
The foundation was already dug and stone then to start the whole building process was already laid, so He’s saying start from there, don't start from scratch. This is why I hate when I hear people say oh my church or I'm building my church.
No, you're not building your church. You don't own anything because the foundation was laid ago. It was set in motion already. You're just coming and laying on top of what was already established.
Then Psalms 91 he who well in this secret in the shelter of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. He that dwells in the secret place of the most high go back to slide number one over there.
Within you, right, which is the spirit of the body and the soul, right, within that house there has to be a secret place that has you as an individual you have to have a secret place, a communion place with God.
Where you actually dwell, that's why we have to work with God because there are conversations that you have with him alone and a lot of people will never be privileged to hear them.
Because there are things in our world that are unexplainable mysteries that are in this spiritual realm that cannot be uttered. That's why Paul says that, listen, I saw things that I cannot explain to you all.
Secret place, you have to have a secret place with the Lord. Mark 14:14 says and wherever he enters, who Jesus Christ says to the master of the house, the teacher says where is my guest room?
Where I may eat Passover with my disciples. In other words, as much as this was happening but there is a much more deeper meaning to this. Where Jesus is saying to all of us, where is my house? Where is my house in you?
That I can come and have communion with you. Now let me show you why we are talking about these guys. There are two kinds of people in the world, just two Adam and Christ. There’s two, Adam and Christ two houses.
The house of Adam and the house of Christ, Adam is the house of Reason, Christ is the house of Revelation. The problem with the house of Reason is that your mind is limited. We don't even understand the things that we create.
My favorite saying we can't even figure out algebra even though we created algebra. House of reason but the other house, which is the house of Christ, it functions because of revelation.
Sandwiched between these two houses is the enemy trying to push you to the house of Adam. Christ, on the other hand, reveals who God is in other words we go back to that mansion again.
In my father's house, there are many mansions. That in itself is a revelation, because if Christ doesn't tell us that, how would we know that they are many mansions? Adams house is built on sand.
Pieces of revelation, portions of truth mixed with lies. Revelations mixed with reason. That's why Jesus comes says don't build your house on sand because what do you do when reason is not enough?
The other house is built on revelation on this rock I will build my house. Now the house that Christ builds on this rock, I'll build my house and the gates of hell will not prevail. So you build your house, if you build the Adam house, the gates of Hell will prevail.
You build the house Christ house, the gates of hell will not prevail. Both houses will be tested, both houses will be tested. Matthew 7:24. Everyone then who hears these words of mine in other words, everyone who receives me, accepts me.
Because I am the word and does them, will be like a wise man. We've been talking about wisdom this past whole month, 7 pillars of wisdom. Says if you hear God's word and do as it tells you, you will be like a wise man whose, who built his house on the rock, who is the rock Christ.
And the rain fell, the floods came, the winds blew and beat on that house. But it did not fall because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who doesn't hear my words, so forth, so forth.
So here we go, here are the tests that are coming to our lives and they will always come. The first thing that tests a house, be it the church, be it you as an individual, be it a family, be it the local church, be it the Kingdom of God, be it a city church, is the wind.
And the wind represent human philosophy. Remember Adam reason, contested, I always say the opposite of faith is not fear, it’s too much information and knowledge that wins philosophy 1 + 1 = 2 it is true, it is true 1 + 1 = 2.
But in God's world it doesn't work that way. But logically, because we are logical beings we then have to relegate that and give it up for a whole different revelational concept that goes far and above over addition.
The second test is rain. What does rain bring? According to our scripture we just read prosperity, because in order for you to have food, you have to have rain. When you become successful, it's a test, it's a test, it's a test when you become successful.
Will you continue to do the things that you used to do. Will you give them up because you are now victorious. For those who watch sports. I don't know if he ever watched this before cause I've seen this too many times.
A team wins maybe a semi final match or, you know, playoffs, semifinals and they were not expecting to win but they did. And they go on to celebrate like they have won the whole thing because they did not expect it.
In the process of that celebration, they used a lot of emotions because they did not expect that. They forget that the final begins in two days by the time they get home, they're all expired and tired from celebrating, voices gone because, man, we just won on buzzer beater as the Celtics.
Game six Miami in Miami, they're not expecting to win it they just won it by the winker. They go to by the time game seven comes, they are exhausted emotionally because prosperity can cause you to forget where you are, what you are building, it's a test.
Prosperity is not the end game, it is a test, it is a test. I've seen a lot of people who stopped working hard because they've prospered. I've seen a lot of pastors who stop praying because everything is working out, it is a test.
I've seen people when they are trying to graduate in seminary, they're pushing hard and reading scriptures in order to graduate as soon as they graduate they put their robes down, prosperity is a test.
It's not an end game, the second, the third test that comes, flood. Flood represent says when the enemy comes in like a flood. Flood is the demonic influences they are coming whether you want it, whether you like it, whether you don't believe in it's coming.
Because when the devil shows up, he doesn't just comes slowly. He just comes in like a flood. The 4th is the wind of God, with God himself because remember, in my Father's house, there are many mansions.
So, you just got to first one, second one and now you get there, you realize, oh have you ever been invited to someplace and you get there you realize yeah, I'm out of place. You were excited about going, but you then realize, whoa I can't even cough in this place.
Because you realize that there are many extra things that you never anticipated will show up. And what happens, we either lose our minds so, when God starts revealing to you because you know we are all praying individuals, we are all getting on early morning prayer and devotion.
We're all reading our scriptures let the Lord visit you tomorrow and light shows up in your house. What you do after that is a test. Quick story, there's a brother in Boston who used to wake up at 3 like me, and sometimes we meet at the church and pray.
Somebody passed away at the church. He comes and he says Pastor Zee, I got a revelation. So, the Lord said to me, I need to pray for this brother tomorrow when the funeral comes so that he can arise from the coffin.
So I said to him, why are you asking me? Cause now you are asking, let's say the Lord did but now you're looking for the house of Adam for reason to agree with you so you can do this. Let's say the Lord did show you, but the moment that you introduce your reasoning power, it nullifies the whole conversation.
But then here's the question I asked him, I say are you prepared of the aftermath? If that happens, it says cause CNN is going to come knock by your door and there will be a line of people with cars with their loved ones from the hospital wanting you now to do something.
It's a test because really, you're either building at any juncture, you're either building the house of Adam or you're building the house of Christ. Even in victory ask anyone who has stood on the pulpit to preach to say something towards the congregation.
That you can start off really good in the spirit and in the middle of that whole entire sermon the congregation starts shouting back at you. And you get out of the spirit and you start getting excited and doing extra things.
That in that moment you start building the house of Adam. And it's very sad or you'll probably never notice the difference, it's a test. Then the fifth one is the latter rain when God just brings more rain, more blessing, more revelation, more anointing now you're being trusted with more.
Favor is not easy, favor can destroy you. God's favor can destroy you, it can and if you are not able to handle it, you can immediately start building the house of Adam. Now the scripture now says to us both of these house there's one that will be left standing.
Which is the end game, right, the one that's left standing but if we keep the house, in view that will be left standing then in our journey to my Father's house, there are many mansions. We will never get lost or get swayed by any kind of winds by any rain, any flood, any latter rain, any success, any victories.
Because you know that there will be one house standing regardless of what my decisions will be right now. And if you understand that then managing these five here, managing you, managing home, managing local church, managing the Kingdom of God becomes much easy.
When you're in the midst of trying to spend money and you realize that there will only be one house standing when all this is said and done, that's automatically is going to change the way you do things.
So I want us to understand that we individually as a house, we are building on top of the foundation that was laid already. But in this process of building so we can get to my Father's house, which is many mansions.
Because you're building process, right, let's go to 1 here, if you see you see at 1 here, if you build your spirit man, your soul and you understand that your body is a temple of Christ where does that lead you?
It leads you to number 2. This is why I truly believe this that if you are not saved, you never really, truly understand what marriage is. Because it was created by God and when you see the example of marriage in the scripture its really biblical more than anything.
So when you come to two over here, it leads you to here. Because you become once you have children, you become a local church by yourself, with your own children. Then it leads you to four and ultimately it leads you to five.
Now when you get to 5, you start seeing the bigger spectrum of what a church is. When you come to church and you get saved, you are at one over here. You don't even understand that church and marriage are one and the same thing.
But the longer you stay in this building process, right, you start exploring other mansions in my Father's house. You start exploring in God's house, did many different aspects and mentions of what his Kingdom is.
And that's when you start saying things. That we're right there all the time, I was talking to Calvin and Veronica earlier on today. And like man, there's things that before we were saved we were, we just didn't pay attention to, we didn't even see.
But once you get saved, your eyes gets open. You realize, oh my God, God is building something in me. There's a foundation that was already laid that I'm actually building on top of so in that building process, right, for anyone who have ever experienced a building project once in a while, what does the Council do?
They sends inspectors, right? That's like the winds, that's your rain, that's your flood. That's your latter rain and at every juncture you get a tick, you can proceed. But if you get over your head and you think, wow, we're doing so good, maybe we can just add another bathroom and it wasn't on the plan.
When they come next time, the whole process is going to have to be delayed and you're gonna have to tear stuff down. Why, because you did something that was not on the original plan.
But in order for you to get to the end, which is my Father's house, there are many mansions. You're going to have to slowly but surely, and meticulously build every step of the way.
Once you have fully completed, you realize actually I'm not completed. Because there's all these other intricate things that you're going to have to do. Pick curtains, pick colors, pick all this stuff that you're like Oh, my God, I never thought of when I was on one.
For the scripture that says in my Father's house, there are many mansions the Lord is telling us that there are so many aspects to this Kingdom don't get stuck in one place. Grow, build, lay hands on somebody and see them get healed.
Minister to somebody and see them come to church. Take your pilgrimage because there's all so many different things to experience and to see. Are we all going to face the same demonic spirit all the time or there's many of them? There’s many, right.
So, if the only prayer you know is Our Father who Art in Heaven. If the only prayer you know is Psalms 91. This kind does not come out by prayer, it does not come out. This kind comes out by prayer and fasting.
That's a different dimension many mansions, many mansions not houses, many mansions, which means in every mansion there's if you start talking about prayer when you open the mansion of prayer.
You realize there's over 32 categories of prayers listed in the Bible. You gotta learn all of them. So as we are building guys in fact, the key thing that I want us to really walk away from today is that we are building.
That every day that we are studying scripture, we are building something. And when you get up, when we get out of studying the Book of Proverbs, there are inspectors coming. We're not just feeling good with ourselves.
Oh, my God the Book of Proverbs is insane it's unbelievable. There is inspectors coming to test your projects. Erica, when you got when you got ordained and inspectors have to show up and they're showing up right now, checking your temperature.
Where we at on this? How are we doing on that? Or let me show you some things that you have never seen before. You're like Oh my God, I didn't know if this is happening, inspectors.
But now what we have to remember guys even in that the building process, we are building a house that has to stand on solid foundation. You can't build, you can't build a house of Adam because you can, you can.
So, let's remember we're building a house, we are growing and there's test coming and on top of that at every juncture, there will be a check mark. Says you have done this, this is why if the Lord speaks to you and says something to you, do it.
But every juncture of the way just stop and ask yourself, am I building the house of Adam or am I building the house of Christ, Amen. Calvin you can stop sharing, are we together? This week, stop, spend time by yourself.
Ask yourself, what am I building? When Jesus comes to meet me and marry me what am I producing? As I'm producing and at every juncture keep this scripture in mind. That there will be one house standing.
One, not two, is the house of Christ. So, you got to ask yourself, am I building on the solid foundation, am I building on Christ. Conversations that you have, things that you buy things.
Ask yourself this question every juncture, what am I doing right now? Am I building on Christ or am I building on a house of Adam? Amen. We are growing and inspectors are coming and of those inspectors, Adam is coming to inspect, Christ is coming to inspect.
If you build on the House of Adam, Christ ain't showing up to inspect because there's nothing to inspect. If you build on the House of Christ, yeah, it will show up and say ok, the greatest thing about building on House of Christ is that at every juncture you get revelation.
If you build on Adam at every successful victory, you get philosophy. This is why the most educated people don't go to church because that's what you get that's the end result. But the problem with that building is that it's on sand, on sand.
They have changed so many things in our world, Pluto was used to be a a planet, then it wasn't, then it was, then it was not then oh, we found another Galaxy, no, we didn't, it changed cause that's what Adam gives you.
So, let's build everything that we are doing, every conversation we are having with someone let's build on the house of Christ. Amen. I shall end here. Let's pray.
Heavenly Father thank You for Your goodness and Your mercy towards us, as we build as we build this structure, we ask for Your wisdom, we ask for a divine intervention, we ask for strength, courage, boldness, determination to pursue what's right.
We thank You for Your goodness and Your mercy. We thank You for these your people I pray a blessing over them and their families that may You continue, Lord, to strengthen them in the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
