"Sin"
Good afternoon, Saints. Let's pray. Father God, we thank you for another beautiful day Father. Father God, we thank you, Father like this day Father. Father God, every day you give us a beautiful life because you are in our life, Father and we thank you.
We thank you, Father health and strength and most of all, we thank you for your son Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the angels. And we thank you for your word, Father. Everything that we need is in your word and we thank you, Father God, as I present my lesson today.
Thank you, Father God, that you I scaled up and down the subjects and I come across sin and I looked at that small word and I said, well, let me check this out but it's so much in there, Father.
It's our life, father. It's how we live each and every day. And we thank you, Father God, that this and light us and just give us more of you, Father God, and tell us all about who you are and when we get at the end, we're going to find out truly that you are loving God. We already know this, but we're gonna find it out again, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
And I chose for my lesson sin, like I said, I scaled down and this and I said, well, you know, sin, sin if the Bible full of words, saying it's everywhere all the time. But a lot of times we admit that in our life and my checks I found I went back to the first sin.
That's Adam and Eve in the garden and they sinned because they didn't listen to God, they was disobedient.
They sing because they ate all the being, the tree or the forbidden fruit value, and then add on complain and sin if they a large complaint is a large sin and he blamed both God and Eve because he disobeyed God.
He blamed God for giving him Eve. And then he blamed Eve for giving him the fruit. So this is kind of where we live in today. We can find somewhere to put the blame. It's always somewhere to put the blame and my lesson.
It's full of scriptures because when I do scripture get right to the point I might miss a word, I might miss a letter, I might miss a way of saying something but now let's go into the next part is Adam and Eve son.
They had two sons Cain and Abel. It was only four peoples in the world and then you find murder. Why? We asked ourselves today you know, why are young people killing young people? Are people just killing people? Look back at Evan and Adam and Eve is only four peoples.
It's amazing a big world and had to be murder. Now let's start the reading now. Abel kept flock and Cain worked the soil and the course of time came, brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord.
And Abel also brought an offering, that portion from some of the first born of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering, he did not look with favor.
So Cain was very angry and his face was downcast. So in our next portion versus ggoing to tell us why the Lord didn't sell his offering and you know, it's just like I was saying today, who are we? Sometimes we look at what other people doing, but what are we doing?
So we know that God had a conversation with Cain, then the Lord said to Cain. Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast if you do not do what is right will you not be accepted? But if you do not, or let me read that again, why is your face downcast if you do what is right, will you not be accepted?
But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door. It desires to have you, but you must rule over it. So all through the scripture, God give us a way to rule over sin. Lord, give us a way to control ourselves.
But when we read this passage, we don't see this here. And God, our conversation face to face, we know God is a spirit with Cain. And then the next bird tell us now, Kane said to his brother Abel.
Let's go out to the field while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and kill him. And again, let's look at the world today. If it's only two brothers and a mother and a father, why would one kill the other? Why? Because of envy.
And that's some of the sins that we're going to get into. And the seven deadly sins are lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, pride. Ok, let's start with lust. Essentially desire for sexual gratification. Some people just have a love for lust spirit and we see it all the time.
And you can even start in the churches. 2 we look at government gluttony over indulgent in food or drink, and we most guilty of that not everybody. But I'm one of those people I'm very good.
And I, you know, I eat all the time. And I and I just pick my food and I just eat now, eat a little later. Just eat, eat, eat, eat, eat because of taste but I don't drink. But still, it's a sin. It seems like it's not because we putting food in our body, but God says it's a sin. It's a sin and greed.
It says it desire for material wealth or position. A lot of people saw agreed, they desire everything for themselves. They will all the possession they can get excessive. They want it all.
They don't look what other people might have or you know what other people might want to they don't like to give what they have to others. And then you got the sloth, the laziness.
They are abort work duty. I don't know how it is now in these jobs, but people used to come to work and so it was kind of like were just a soap opera. They just talk all day long, did very little complain and did very little.
So that's the deal they sin. They don't know it. They just think they're getting because they feel good because they can come on the job and do what they want to do. Wrath and control anger or hatred and we see peoples in that position all the time.
They anger is out of control for some reason it's a spirit. They hate and they never able to do anything with it.
They never try, but then maybe nobody never approached them with the love and the spirit of love to try to help them with their anger, uncontrolled anger. And then we have envy, jealousy of other people's success.
It's just like their first murderer. When one brother, jealous of the other and we see it all the time, people can be jealous of another person, and that might not be what God would help them to do.
Sometimes you see another person's success and you said, oh, I wish I was like that. But everything it's not for you. Just because somebody else got it. That don't mean you got to have it because they have a good job, every job.
So it's good. It's a job. It helps somebody. You're like people that working fast. What I think they should be a highly paid people.
Because look how many people they feed a day. Look who come through there. Doctors, lawyers, nurses, laborers, mother's, father’s, the little children and they just get them minimum wage.
But that's a that's a biggie right there. When you feed people and people eat what you cook. Although it's fast food, some of it restaurant food but yet and still they should be high to pay.
So that's a highly that's a highly intelligent job to cook for people. And then last we have pride believing in one's own self abilities. And we'll get to pride about it in a few more minutes and about at the end.
If I can summarize our pride, we believe in ourselves. It's all about me. It's all about I, I did this. I did that. I remember when I first got married, I had this eye syndrome thing. Because it was only me and my mother lived for years, my dad had died.
My brother had died, and someone asked me, he said, where did you get this? This nice. What did this come from? I said, well, I did that. Everything that he asked me, it was I and I caught myself. I said, oh, oh, I'm sorry, he said that's all right.
This went on about two years. It was all about I, I tried not to say I, but I the one did this in the house and took care of my mother. And then a lot of it was just me. So and he would say that’s alright.
He said that's all right. But I catch myself. But it went on two years, but finally the Lord took that. I spilled away from him. And what is and what do we think sin is? Sin this the way we live, think, act contrary to God's law.
The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And sometimes with your water down there versus say, well, yeah, everybody's saying that's all right. And we don't think anything of it, but we got to pay for our sins.
And since the Bible said it like we just think, like I said, we don't think nothing of it. Yeah, but we got to remember that we gotta give an account of what we do. We can sin without realizing it, we have negative thoughts.
We talked to our self negative, we can say well, I can't do this. I can't do that. Yeah, I'm not going to even try. That's a sin because it involved our spiritual life also and then we judge other people without speaking a word aloud.
You know, sometimes we are guilty of that. We judge people just thinking and out of mind where there’s a sin, but we don't think how we didn't speak it, we think we are right. And then we can become dissatisfied with our own life because we are looking at someone’s sin.
A lot of times we look at other people's sins and we think we would like we should be like this. But God has something for all of us to do. And number one, we should ask him even being young, but we've not talked at a young age to ask the God what should I do in my life?
What would you help me to do? What kind of job would you help me to do? I went to this dinner with this girl and the family graduated and that being probably over 20 years ago and they told everybody at the table.
They said encouraging word to Elizabeth, that was her name. And so there's a lawyer in the family. When he spoke, he said the reason he was a lawyer because you were following everybody else.
If he had to follow it, the things itself. I thought for himself, he would never became a lawyer. And he said we should always ask God, what would you help me to be? And that's true. You know, some we can see a little child, 6 years old, 11, 18.
Well, what you going to be when you grow up? What, you're gonna go to college and do we never say have you asked the Lord? So that that's the way our lifestyle, that's why we've been taught, we don't put the Lord in everything and we should. Let's look at a part of King David's life, God's Amazing Grace, to those who repent.
So we know by King David we know there was a man after God's own Heart. We know when David sent he would panic. But let's look at this verse right here. When David is confronted by Nathan, he confesses I have sinned against the Lord.
Then Nathan the Prophet declares, the Lord also have put away your sins. You shall not die. God, forgiveness and God forgive us all, but we have to ask for it. And then it goes on to say forgiveness.
Sin still has consequences and it does when we do something the Bible says, we reap what we sow. And it does have consequences. Let me read this passage. While it's wonderful to read God's lavish forgiveness.
We should also pray carefully. Pay careful attention to the painful and fitting consequences the Lord brought upon David for his sins. We are told David just timent was necessary both to uphold the law Lord's reputation.
So when God says something, he going to do it. He don't let us all just because, well, Nina you did this. I'm going to let just let you go. No Nina you got the pay for it. And also teaches us the future generation that has sinned they have consequences also.
So they're telling King David and you by the other leaders in the Bible didn't get by men and women of God didn't get by. We're not going to get by either. But when we read the word the word the same today, yesterday, tomorrow.
Forevermore the word never changes and goes on set as I study later, part of daily life, I often wonder if it wouldn't have been easier on him not to have lived, to see another event in his final years.
And so we know David, he sinned, David did some terrible sin, but yet and still God gave they gave him, but he got punished all at the same time. And then we can look and see complaining is a big sin, in my own words, it's a big sin because you can start now complaining and don't even realize it.
God can bless you and be blessing you in the process and you still your complaining. Let's look at 2 King 5, lets begin in verse 1. Now name a captain of the hosts are the kings of Syria was a great man with his master and honor them.
Because by him the Lord had given deliverance to Syria. He was also a mighty man but he was a leaper. And the Serbian had gone out and had brought away capture out of the land a little maid, and she waved on.
Waited on Naaman's wife, and she said unto her, mystery with God, my with God, my Lord with the Prophet that is in Sumerian that he would recover him from his leprosy. And one went in and told his Lord saying thus said the maid, that his of the land of Israel and the king of Syria said go.
So I'm stopping in the middle of that verse, go. And so Naaman got permission to go. In the next verses, we skip to verse 9, so Naaman with his horses and with his Chariots and stood at the door of the House of Elijah.
And Elijah sent a messenger unto him, saying go and wash yourself seven times and your flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shall be clean. But Naaman was angry and went away and said.
Behold, I thought he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God and strike his hand over the place and recover the leprosy. Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus better than all the wars of Israel?
May I not be washed in them and be clean. So he turned and went away enraged because Naaman had in his own mind about what he wanted to be washed in. So they're like us. We want to tell the Lord how to bless us.
We got pictures in our mind, how we should be blessed, how we should do what we need to be done. But the Lord has other plans for us. And verse 13 goes on to say, and his servant came near and speaking to him said my Father.
If the Father had bid thee do some great thing, would thou not have done it? How much rather than when he said to thee, watch and be cleaned.
Because Naaman you know a lot of time on TV, we see the Healing Ministry, where people go up to be healed and the pastor to put their hand on them and push them down, and they fall out.
So we thought they did. So they might do, but they told a lot of them don't. But in this case, that's what Naaman wanted, he wanted Elijah to come out of the house and waved his hand over him, but that that wasn't the way God was going to heal him.
He sent his word then when he down and dipped himself in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God, and his flesh, came again unto him, like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
And he returned to the Man of God and all his company and came and stood before him and said, behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel, now therefore I pray, take a blessing of thy servant.
And so the Lord was already had already healed him when he told him to go down and dip himself in the water. But he didn't want to do it like that and thank God he had one of his servants.
Sometimes people help us tell us, speak to us. And serve and say my father, if the Father had told you to do something, great thing when you have did it. So we don't want to do the little things, the small things, we want to do, the great things, what we think ought to be done.
And Lord in our prayers as prayers answer, prayers to seeing God always answer our prayer. You're like a few minutes ago we always pay the consequences. But the thing is that he answers prayer and we repent and he save us from our sin.
Proverbs 20:13, says that covered his sins. Sin shall not prosper for who confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy. James, 5:16, confess your faults one to another and pray for one another, and that we may be healed.
And that's why we need a community of Christians, a community of Godly people, people that we can talk to and talk with. 1 John 9:1, say we confess our sin here, faith and just to forgive us all our sins and clean us from all unrighteousness.
And so that's where we want to be. We want God to clean us from all unrighteousness. We don't want to be like we was today and yesterday and the next day.
And I find this scripture. It was a few years ago and I I had a I had. It took me a little bit time to process it and it's finally Galatians 5 and we always go to Galatians 5:22-23 when the child saw the fruits of the spirit.
But let me read about our sins. Some we probably don't even think about. There could be a sin that we committed years ago and then notice that sin when we did it, but still we need to ask God to bring the child to remember whatever it was and repent so he will forgive us.
Let me start in Galatians 5:16-22, this I say, then walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh, for the flesh lesser against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh and these are contrary, the one to another.
So that you cannot do the things that you. But if you be led by the spirit, you are not under the law now the words are the flourish are manifested, which are these adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling.
Reveal it as such, like of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time pass, that they would do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.
So God. Oh, he names our sins 1 by 1. He don't make a mistake and he said to us, not making a mistake because it's all in the word of God. And so we know, we always have a way out, but we got to have that faith and we got to believe and we got to repent.
Like they've said, creating me a clean heart, O Lord, and that's why we have to ask the Lord to create in us a clean heart, because our heart is not our cleans. Like I first read. We do, we sin and don't even really think about it. You don't realize it.
Sometimes you're picking on ourselves. We do not realize it. That that's danger because God created us. God created us in his image and he want us to move from our own selfish image to his image.
And so with this small world we're sin, it takes us from Earth to heaven. Hopefully it takes our earth to heaven when we declare and when we repent and ask God to forgive us.
Like we said, sometime later in life, we don't understand what sin is until we get older and we don't realize that we're going to have to pay for our sins. But God always have a way out. He always and sometimes when I look at the world today.
Now read about Adam and Eve, like Cain and Abel. And there's so much going on today, we live in a dog world, but God is still in control. We live in a sinned sick world. God is still in control.
But everything that we need, everything we want, we have to ask the Lord for it. Does he tell us a little peaceful and number one with all men as much as possible. And it can be done because God said it can be done and so we have to learn to live everything God tell us to do.
We just have to get in our heart and our spirit. It really have to be in our spirit to do it. And with this sin can. We all see it and we got all got the answer to it. But every day can be a lovely day.
Because we got God grace, we got his mercy. And with that, I thank you all. Let us pray, Father God, we thank you, Father God, we thank you for your word, Father. And Father God, we thank you for the shortcomings that you tell us that we have and then you give us a way to escape it.
You give us a way to return to you. Just like the children of yours are Father God, there was disobedient, rebellious, but Father God, you still you, still had your hand out. You still had your loving heart out to receive them, Father.
And there was one of the people that the children, the nation that complain and complain and complain. And we find that in our lives today, Father God complain, complain, complain.
Father, God, don't let that spirit of complaining get on us because they can. We can be other people company and they can rub off on us if we let it Father. But we thank you, Father God, that we have the spirit of God.
We thank you, Father God, that you cover us with your blood Father. And Father God, we thank you that anything that we need to know you tell us to your word Father, that still quiet voice sends us to your word.
And we thank your Father. And if we don't know Father, you have plenty of leaders. You have plenty of pastors that's after your own heart. Plenty of Bishop, plenty of students of the word that can guide us straight, the way that we should go.
Father God, we thank you and we just bless you. We glorify your name, Father God and Father we just thank you for our life sometime and not the way that we thought it's going to be, but it's not about what we think it's about what you see it. And we thank you in Jesus name we pray, Amen. Amen.
Amen, Amen. Wow Nina. And pastor Zee you’re raising up a bunch of teachers here. Can you imagine how we all were a few years ago? Oh man how far we've come? Oh, that's wonderful, wonderful, Pastor Zee you wanna unmute?
Yeah. Thank you for that, Mama. You know, I'm grateful that you know, we still talk about things that are relevant in this Kingdom. You can go for years as a believer and never hear somebody preach on sin.
I mean we all can think of when we last heard somebody preach on sin, to preach on everything else except the very thing that brought us to where we are. You know, just like you, as you're preaching in as you're speaking there mama.
You know, I just find myself weeping because you understand the depravity of humankind. And I think also sin has never been actual. If you ever hear somebody preach on sin.
It has never actually been defined. You know where you understand what it is. This is why we can say we can talk about good people and nice people, wonderful people but you realize that nobody's good. Because I mean, you read Genesis there, right, which is the origin of sin.
You know, by definition God's you know, when I'm looking at Adam in the garden. God seeking intent of Adam was to bring him from being natural to spiritual. He was a physical, natural born human being.
That God was intent was to bring him slowly into spirituality. But then he sinned, and that changed now from being brought from evil to good.
So the scripture this is for we have all fallen short, right. That automatically should tell every person that you are a sin. Sin is the evidence you know when you finally see a sinful act.
It is the evidence of that which is already corrupt. You know what I'm saying? You don't get to murder before something happens in here, right. So by simple definition sin is a setup that existed between mankind and the devil.
The meeting goes and meeting happens the devil and men. In the commune and after that, seeing is born. But we have all fallen short now, so that means everybody not saved. Saved we have sinned. Whether you're doing good.
The thing that brings us death from natural to spiritual is the cross of Jesus. So the disposition of us, right is that everything that we do without Christ, without being in Christ. Is part of the same setup of the devil.
And Adam that they had in the in the garden. It's the same setup. So you we all can realize that it's we are saved really by grace. Not because of our own. This is just God's own agenda over there, doing whatever he's doing, saying I'm going to save these people.
And one of the hardest things is to have good personality and be a Sinner. Just good person, good neighbors. But you know they're a sinner. You know the sin that came down to us from Adam was not an act. It was a heritage disposition.
Imagine inheriting money. We inherited sin. That's what we've inherited. And now God had to send Jesus to bring us from sinful doing? Which means that everything that human beings do, everything, everything, no matter how good it looks like if God is not involved in it is a sin.
Because the essence of who is doing it through us is Satan. Now the difference between sin and evil. Evil has intense. Evil now is something that is planned out of sinful nature. So when people start planning so now here's the scripture says sin is at the door knocking.
And Jesus says I knock on the same door. If you open for me, I will enter. And if you open for sin, our intentions they roster are evil. So this just causes you to weep because you understand that human beings were is just a depravity in us.
That even if we get saved is still there by inheritance. Knocking at the door nonstop, even though you're in new creation. Every day knocking at the door. Just waiting that if you open that door Oh, I'm coming in and it's even in things that are good.
You know, earlier on I was talking to Vee and Calvin. Then we're just discussing something that is good. It is good to think about that. Until you realize and stop and say, oh, that's sinful. Like yeah, that's sinful.
Why? Because it's a set up that is outside of what God intends. Even though it sounds good if I have to tell everybody, I'm like, yeah, it makes sense. It really doesn't make sense. But it's sin knocking at the door.
And then Ma, you give us a list of things to think about. That you like, yeah over there, yeah. And this is one of those things that sombers you and thank God for salvation.
Because you understand what it means. The diabolical nature of sin is that it hates God. Think about who founded it. The devil he hates God. So he is trying to set up, a whole different lifestyle outside of what God had intended for Adam to live.
So which means that when he succeeded with Adam. I mean, look at Chapter 3 of Genesis, the judgment. I mean, this is strong words. cursed is the Earth and its inhabitants.
Because of the setup that Adam had with cursed is the Earth and its inhabitants. I mean there's strong language. You would toil. I mean, toiling is not. I mean, for people we've told before, you know what that means.
And then to think about how do we how do you get from did God tell you that you can't do that. How do you get to that conversation to now your son has murdered his brother.
I mean to just show you how this seed of seeing is so powerful, how it can lead a normal person to a place where you were like, wait a minute. I mean, even if you have to think about all these other things that we hear.
All these documents are of serial killers and murderers to think about st some point they were babies, innocent and something happened. This seed that was in them was watered, encouraged until it became this heinous, evil where it planned things in advance to destroy others.
Now think about this. The people that are being murdered most likely they're all seen as anyway, same boat. You know, God, God help us. God help us cause it's very easy. And I think this is some of the things that needs to be taught regularly.
What is the definition of sin? What is the definition of evil temptation? Isn't it amazing how sometimes we even look at temptation as a sin? Because we just don't understand the definition of what sin is. Until we realize temptation is an exam to test your righteousness.
The quickest way to righteousness is through temptation, not prayer, not worship, no. When the devil tempts you and you overcome in that moment, you become holy. You don't become wholly both because of prayer or worship.
Become holy because temptation is come and you have overcome it. That's why, he says Noah was found righteous amongst his peers. Why? Was it because he was worshipping or praying? No, it was because he was tempted too.
But he overcame that's why it's creator says Jesus was tempted, tested on all points and he overcame. And why did Jesus overcome? Because he was not born in the same nature as us. That's where it will be born through a virgin because this is a corrupt seed.
We couldn't use Jesus if he was born between Joseph and Mary. Because you carry the same essence as you and I. But God had to be the Father holy in order to redeem that which was unholy. Sin, I mean what it leads, I mean, look at our world.
You know, we talk about leaders a lot, like a man. Look at these leaders nah that's easy. It's sin that has led us to this juncture sin. And Mom, you talk about too much eating, greed, right.
Why if when you start thinking about why being greed and then eating too much you then understand that it's the desire to go over and above that, what is God has designed is normal.
So you want to go over that for whatever reason, so you realize that in doing so, there's one thing that is not present self-control and self-control is the product of the Holy Spirit. Now, wherever the spirit is, you get self-control.
That if you find yourself where you don't have self-control, that means sin is at the door. Knocking because the end result is I wanna push you to a place that is way further than where you are standing right now.
That's why that's why one of the gifts is being self-control. Says the root of evil now. The root of evil, the root of evil is money. You know scary that is, that money is the root that every time you hold money, you are holding a root to evil intent.
That's why sometimes the Lord. I don't know whether this is biblical, but I can say maybe that's why sometimes we are broke. There's too much of it. You're holding in your hands roots of evil.
If watered, they can grow into something crazy. It’s not a coincidence that we are living in an era where there is too much evil and there's too many billionaires. Ever in the history of mankind. It's not a coincidence.
It's not a coincidence because evil has to grow just as much as holiness and spirituality has to grow. That's why you always hear me say as it pertains to sin, we have to be ruthless. We can't just be you know.
No, we have to be ruthless because its pathway leads to death and destruction. So let's pay attention to our sinful nature. Listen to this. It says if I see sin a part from the cross. That means you have lost one hope. So it says if I see sin apart from the cross. Then suicide seems the only way out.
These cross cannot offer me relief from where I am now. And the only way out, just to get out of here. Now when you think about that, now you have to ask yourself, how do you get from being normal to that.
There has to be the progression and watering of something inside of you. You know, one of the kids that goes to my son's high school. The other day, they want the phone because he was talking about suicide.
Now when you hear about how these boy lives. Just life just and the things he watches. You realize that seeing at its core overwhelms you to where you don't see the cross is a necessary escape. That you think you know what, way out of this pain internal soul. Man, we have to thank Jesus.
We really have to thank Jesus jeez. I mean, think about there's 8 billion people in the world right now. Then you add those who died prior to now and those who died prior to him ascending.
That this man's spirit is this ultimate power to exonerate every single person in the world if they seek him.
I want us to do something today in this few minutes that we are left with. We just want to get in a repentant heart and just ask the Lord for forgiveness for the way we think sometimes, the way we talk.
The thing sometimes that we just kinda like, yeah. So that the Lord can purify us. Then they think sometimes that are so subtle that you won't even consider it as sin. But inside of you just carrying this route.
That at an opportune time, it could be watered and turned into something. So let us pray. Heavenly Father we humble ourselves before you. We know we inherited sin from Adam and sometimes it's just a struggle being human.
Having to deal with the challenges that comes from what we inherited. I know we are saved by grace. I know Jesus died on the cross and we received salvation but we are aware that sin is constantly knocking at the door.
Sometimes it's so subtle that we can't even see it. Sometimes it's so good that is acceptable. Yet in your eyes, it's not acceptable. So, Heavenly Father, we ask for forgiveness for the times that we have wronged ourselves. The times that we have wronged you.
The times we have spoken out of term. The terms that we have let our minds wander in the wrong direction. The times that we have entertained evil thoughts, pursued them. We ask for forgiveness, cleanse us, purify us.
We thank you for the cross where Jesus rested on that day in order for us to find salvation and redemption from our sins. We repent of the sins of our forefathers.
We repent, Lord the times that we have lost obedience chose not to listen to you. To the Holy Spirit that you gave us to govern us in our purpose.
We repent, we ask that you give us strength and wisdom so that we can continue seeking and running after you. Help us in our quest to be holy.
So we know it's not in our own doing. We don't have it to become holy, but it's through the blood and the cross of Jesus Christ that we are made holy.
Help us to deal with temptations when they arise, knowing that it is our quickest way to holiness. The greater the temptation, the greater the level of holiness we aspire. So I pray, Lord, that you help our minds transform us through the word of God.
So that we can be holy before you, because the instruction is be holy as I am holy. We repent for the people that we sometimes carry in our hearts, whether it is for two minutes or for five seconds, but we repent.
Purify and cleans our hearts. Help us so we are always in constant need of the cross. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for guiding us. May the blessing of salvation continue to work in us, that which is holy and pure.
Thank you for Jesus as we continue to walk this journey with him towards Easter. Bless us, open our ears and our eyes. Continue to transform us. Bless us as a group and we are forever grateful for who you are in Jesus name, Amen.
