Glory Through Sacrifice
Reflection Points
Glory comes after working through difficult things
Glory does not happen without the fire of sacrifice, but we are taught that we can get glory without sacrifice. Abraham would not have become the father of many nations unless he was willing to put Isaac on the altar.
Glory shows what God is capable of (Isaiah 60:21)
God's glory provides for our natural and spiritual needs (Philippians 4:19)
Glory gives you joy to minister the Word (Psalm 149:5, 1 Chronicles 16:10)
Glory gives you liberty and delivers us from bondage
Glory gives you rest (Isaiah 11:10)
Glory brings sanctification and makes you a holy vessel ready to be used by God
We're seeing so much sin in the Church because the glory of the Lord has left the Church (John 17:22)
Glory gives guidance (Exodus 13:21)
In order to be sanctified you have to put something on the altar
Glory gives you revelation and wisdom for what's coming so that you can prepare
The enemy want to steal your glory and make you comfortable, but glory doesn't make you comfortable
The glory of God is an effective weapon for spiritual warfare
Find the opportunity through the pain to offer your sacrifice at the altar
Without humility, we will lose what we've gained through God's glory
God is not asking us to give up what He hasn't given us
Transcript
Friday I was praying for you and I woke up. You know, the Lord woke me up very early today. I think 4:00 AM. I was kind of up. And you know, I was just going. Just going through the list and you know. Some of the things that you guys send and the prayer requests and just kind of lifting everybody in prayer agreeing with you.
And I realized that we are all being provided with an opportunity. Through the challenges that we are facing. Because if I can recall, or if I can really kind of just think through from last year, right? Cause we kind of talked about, you know, remember last year I asked the question, write some of the things that you want to do right. Remember that early last year was like write about the things that you want to accomplish, things that you want to see, you know, kind of write it all down and you all wrote those things and then. They say I was like, OK, right. Your prayer request or some of the things that challenges, and when I think about last year. Things want to see. And to now things, what you are praying for. You realize that the challenges that are arising are literally an opportunity you probably asked God for because in order to grow you right, you have to work through some things.
Now when you work through some things, when you get to the other side, what you get in return is glory. Because the word glory means. Reward for doing something glory is different from winning, right? When you win, you just you just win. Glory is a whole different. If the New York Knicks play during the season right and wins against Boston. You don't get glory for that. You get a win, but where if New York Knicks somehow work through their problems and ends up winning the NBA championship this year? What the city of New York gets is not a ring. It's a glory. Because what seems right now? For anyone who follows basketball, right. Now Calvin is smiling because he knows what I'm about to say. Is that are there any expectations in New York that there will be a championship and a parade? Not really. Right. But let's say they do pull it. The euphoria that will happen in New York. Has never been seen. Because that's glory. If Boston Celtics wins the championship this year. Is there glory? Because everybody's expecting it. That if they had won the year they played Golden State Warriors. They gave glory. Right. Because glory comes after difficulty. And working things through, while appreciating the fact that faith is pushing me through.
2000 and I think it's six if I, the European Championship, the European, the European, the European, European national team championship, right. The big teams that were expected to win that tournament was Spain. German. England, France. And possibly Italy. The odds of the Greek national team winning an European. Soccer championship were minus, we -0 zero something. But they won most of the matches 1010101010 and end up actually beating. I think they beat if I remember well, they might have beat it. I think Italy or Spain in the Finals 10 and they won the championship. What happened in Greece? That night. I don't think the nation has ever experienced it. Ever. They went crazy if you Google this, they went nuts. You know how the Greeks throw plates in celebration. The amount of plates that were thrown in the streets were ridiculous. Because they did not expect to deal with that, hence in return of accomplishing what they accomplished they got glory. But, can we say they attained that without faith? No, I think there was a belief that recognized man I think we have an opportunity here. First round they won 10, then they won 10. They went second run and they won 10. Once they go to the quarterfinals, a light went on. We have an opportunity here. Guys, lock in. Let's go.
The same thing right when I'm reading as this prayer request, you can see some things in there that you will like yeah, that's a tough one. That's a tough one. That's a tough one. But now when you sit back and look back, you know, just sitting there and just just going through what I was going through this morning, just praying for you. I said to myself, man. Imagine Monica, if you are to wipe out the prayer list this year. This year, December you say, man, everything that was on my list, I wiped it all out. If that happens, imagine what it does for your growth and faith. And your relationship with Christ. You get glory. You don't get. You don't get. Oh, that was a good year. No, you be like, oh, yeah, I know the Lord. I know the Lord. I've seen it because glory does not happen without fire. Not going to happen. You know, Denise, that's been that has left home. She's been gone for a while, right? And you guys are praying for Dorothy, I think. And your sister, you praying. And if the Lord touches that if you kneel and pray and pray and pray and God answers that prayer. The glory that comes out. This is why you see in John 17 Jesus is about to die. If you read John 17, you hear how many times Jesus says. Now father, glorify me. Glorify me. So the aftermath of fire. Is always glory.
The unfortunate thing with us, I don't know where this came from. We are taught to expect glory of God in church without anyone putting an altar so that fire can burn our sacrifice. No alter, no fire, no glory. Again, let's go back to our analogy. If Boston Celtics wins this year, There is not going to be glory, it's expected. Because there was no sacrifice, there was no fire. You won all you won the most games this year. But if New York Knicks? Julius Randall is not playing his knee. Your best player is not even in the thing, and all these are your honor is crazy, right? And you pull this off. Right, you get glory. But that glory you get, they will tell you boys. Oh, wait, we worked hard for this one. This we end it. The fire falls upon the altar first. So in other words, let's go back to last year. OK. And this is all to just look at our prayer, our and things that we are requesting God for, right. Let's go back to last year. What did we spend last year doing?
We spent last year talking about building our faith. Staying in the word. Worshipping God. You know, different types of statutes in the Kingdom. What were we doing? We were building an altar. We're building an altar. We're building an altar. Finding sticks over here. Throw a rock over here. Put a nice tone over here. The beginning of the year comes everybody on here. Is dealing with some issues. Everybody on here is dealing with, Oh my God, that is here right here comes now. The fire on the altar. Because the fire comes before glory. But before you get to glory, there has to be an altar. And, there has to be a sacrifice. Sacrifice cannot be comfortable, cannot be easy. Sacrifice has to be difficult and challenging because you don't want to give up your best. So you're having to now really dig deep and put on the altar. Monica, the job you got after what you went through? Oh, girl. Or you have to place something right there on that altar. The stuff we are going through over here in Birmingham. And last year was seems like, OK, yeah, we have to put something on the altar because you are not going to get glory with that altar and fire. It's not happening. Bad. The problem is we are taught nowadays you can get glory without altar, without fire. Can just ask for it.
That then when God starts talking to you about what you need to place on the alter. That’s a whole different story. Ask Abraham. Abraham doesn't become father of many nations if he is not willing to place that boy on the altar. If he wasn't willing to go to Mount Moriah and build an altar, there is no father of many nations. There's no negotiating with God for the city of Sodom and Gomorrah. None of that is happening. And right now, as I'm speaking, you can look into your own life and just go back. And say man, I am a woman of God. I am today because 1970. Because of 1984. Because of 1990. I asked the Lord to lead me to the next level and God says build me an altar. Did we talk about this a few weeks ago about building an altar? That time when we were talking about building an altar, there's one thing we should all have recognized right there, oh something has to go on the altar. Something has to go on the altar. So here we are now. I always say to people, if you don't want to pray. And you're asking God for things. He can organize it. You can honor organize your prayer life easy. God will organize you. All he does is just squeeze you a little bit over here. Says all right, you ask for this. You ask for that. That's why I always say if you really want to know what you're going through, just go back. Just go back a few months ago and check your prayers. Because you're like, oh. Yeah, I asked for that.
So, what is the goal? What is the goal of glory? It is for God to get what cause glory belongs to him, right? So we have to give God what he deserves. So in order for God to receive his glory. Human beings have to build an order and place a sacrifice. For him to get his glory. The purpose of God's glory is repeatedly in scriptures. God said that he reveals his glory, that the nations may come to know him. We are not getting closer, so we can raise our arm so that we get to know him. So the knowledge of who God is does not happen with that glory. Because glory shows you what he is capable of and what you once you know what God is capable of. You can say, man, I know what God can do. I know what God can do, but you can't say I know what God can do if you've never. Been through anything?
Isaiah is a lot of scripture today. Isaiah 60, verse 21 says for I know the works and their thoughts. It shall come that I will gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come. To see my glory. In other ways, there's a time that's coming when God God is going to gather all nations. So he sees his glory and where is his glory coming from from the Saints. That build altars and place the sacrifice so that the whole world would know that Christ Jesus. Is the son of God. However, and more so, there are many other purposes for the glory of God. Most of which relate to you. Individually. As much as he gets his glory, but it also has to. Do with you. So let's look at why God gives anyone of us glory. The first one, the glory of God, provides you, me and you. With natural needs. When you are mobile, when you are being mobilized to do work for God, you have both natural and spiritual needs. Philippians 4:19 right we know this it says bye, but my God shall supply. All of your needs, according to his riches in glory. Your needs are in 2 categories, spiritual and physical. So when he says shall supply. All. You know when we say, all right, most of the times we run to the things that we want. But what's being talked about here is your spiritual needs and your physical needs. #2 the glory of God also provides you. Also, with spiritual needs. Ephesians 3, verse 16. That he would grant you according to the riches of his glory. To be strengthened with mighty by his spirit in the inner man. His glory now strengthens you back. Right Psalms 89 verse 17 for thou art the glory of their strength. Strengthening with Almighty according to his glorious power Colossians chapter one, verse 11.
So glory is going to give you strength. #4 the glory of God gives joy to minister the word. I'm sure most of us here you realize in the more you get into talking about Jesus. You find a joy that comes with that. Psalms 149, verse five let these Saints be joyful in glory. Let them sing aloud upon their birds. Then let the Lord be glorified, but he shall appear to your joy. And they shall be ashamed. Who? The enemy. First, Peter. No Chronicle 16:10 glory you in his holy name. Let the heart of them rejoice. That seek the Lord. You seek the Lord, he says. Glory unto you. You're sticking the lot in the morning. Is it easy to get up in the morning every day? Sometimes when your body doesn't want to. It's not. Sometimes you're like, can we just sleep one extra minute? It says wake up. Right. And the scripture is telling us it says glory. Be unto you in his holy name. Let the hearts of them rejoice. That seek him. So as we are seeking him, he says. Let your heart rejoice. This is why now if you are in this, you realize, man, there's nothing better to do other than this. Because you realize the joy that's coming out of it, not because this is the only thing to do, but because there's a joy that comes with this, that you're like I can never. Give this anyway. #5. Glory gives you liberty. The glory of the Lord is responsible for delivering you from bondage into liberty. It is his glory that would do the same for those who you minister to. Arise shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Rests #6 joy. Glory gives you rest. As you labor and grow weary, God gives you glorious rest. Isaiah 11, verse 10, and in that day they shall be root of Jessie which shall stand for a sign of the people to eat. Shall the gentile seek. And his rest? Shall be glorious.
Can you imagine your rest being glorious? #7 glory brings you sanctification. The glory sanctifies you and makes you a holy vessel, ready to be used by God. Brothers and sisters, in order for God to use you, his glory has to follow you. And the way his glory has to follow you is that you have to build an altar. And place something as a sacrifice. Offer your body as a living sacrifice, wholly and acceptable unto them. Where are we offering the sacrifice at the altar? And then it's it doesn't the scripture says brothers and sisters, when you come to God and you have an issue with somebody, leave your gift where? At the alter that word alter we always think it is the pulpit. It says no. Bring everything that you own. And place it on the altar. Before God lit his fire go out there, because if you venture into the Holy of Holies with your staff, you might not come back. Out of there. So place your gift at the altar. Go make peace. Come back and let's lit the fire. Because when you're about to access. Is going to sanctify you. But you can't be sanctified if you're carrying something. This is why. The Levitical priest would, Aaron, had to make sure that there to make sure that the priest were clean. Because when the glory of God showed up. Right. The scripture says when the glory of God showed up. In Moses. They could not look him in the face. Why could they not look Moses in the face? Cause they were they had not left their sacrifice on the altar. They were still dealing with their issues from Egypt over there. Right. The reason guys you are seeing so much sin in the church. Is God the glory of God is not there. It has left the building. That's why you are seeing so much sin in the church. Because there is no glory. Because if. Glory shows up. If glory shows up every knee. Has to bow, every idea, every agenda, every desire has to bow down. Glory brings unity, the glory of God brings unity, which is important as the church mobilizes one body to fulfill the Great Commission. And the glory John 17:22. Here we go. And the glory which thou hast givest me. This is Jesus speaking the glory that you gave me. I have given to them. That there may be one even as I. And you are one. John 17:22. Glory give guidance. God leads you by his glory. A book of exodus. It shows up and the scripture says the glory of God appeared like a pillar of fire in the night. To guide then during the day, it was a cloud.
To guide that was glory. And why is glory of God appearing for the children of Israelite? Because Moses had went up Mount Sinai and spent six months building an altar for God's glory to follow. Because he was the leader, the Holy Spirit was not given. He was the priest. You was their leader, so here to go and build an order. Was it easy to climb Mount Sinai by yourself? No food six months gone. You don't know when you're coming back. You just know I've been called to. Come up here. And while we are in this neighborhood, guys. You have to understand this guys. Even though God can speak to you right now in your house. There is times where he demands you to take a journey. You have to take a journey. You have to leave your comfortable zone and take a journey. Ask Moses. God could speak to him in the camp. But for the 10 Commandments, are you coming up here? Or you have to come out of Mount Sinai. You're going to leave these people for six months. Come up here. You're going to have to sort some in some things down.
If I'm to give you the laws that will govern all of humanity until I come, I return or you're coming up here. So there's times you going. To have to take a journey. It doesn't make sense when Calvin and Veronica got in their car two years ago, two years ago, three years ago, year two years ago, and drove from New York. How many churches did they pass from New York to Birmingham? How many? I mean, if you have to count, you probably like. Are they crazy? But it was sacrifice. I know my brother drives Veronica. Just count the lines. On the road as they come along, you know. Say a few stories, take a nap, wake up, count lines, say a few stories. I'm hungry. I need. To stop hey. How many churches do they pass? But. In order for what I'm going to do and I'm about to do in your life, you gotta get out of your comfort zone and take a journey. That's where they almost died when they got here. Almost died when they got here. Would have ended tragically. But what were they doing? Or we have to place something on the altar? Pick it up, place something on the altar. We can build this altar and they were building the altar during the course of the year. Let's study this. Let's go over here. Pastor Zee is here teaching a Bible study. Oh, my God. Now the altar was finished and guys said OK, place something on there. Huh. Yeah, place something we'll do. What do you want me to do? Get on the road. Drive to Alabama. Has all these churches along this way. You seen them on the highway? Says 10 over here. But you know what? Just drive. I got something for you. Right. Nadia. You know what? Yeah, I want you. To forgive your brother. I just. I don't care about what happened. I want you to forgive your brother. I. Want you to lay sacrifice yourself? Forgo what you're feeling, forgo your pain forgo your desires, forgo what happened, what will happen in the future. Forget all that. Place something on the altar. Here, Lord, this costs too much. I know it costs too much. Place something on the altar. The stuff I need to do, the stuff I need to do with that little girl and that boy, the stuff I need to do. But offer your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto me, and place it on the altar and watch when I bring my fire and burn that sacrifice, watch what I will do. Here I don't feel like it right now. Yeah, I'm angry. Yes, I know you are angry, but offer it. Offer that sacrifice. Place it over there.
Cynthia. Same thing. Yes, place it at the altar, Kathy, same thing. Man, can I? Yes. Can I ring somebody else? Charlie. Yeah. It's gonna make them my own. Yes, please. Something. It's hard. Not. I know. I know. It's hard place something on the altar. Place it. How many months Monica, looking for a job? Until you rack up everything that you had been saving. And like yeah. I got something for you. The stuff we gave up in Boston. To move here. It will cause you sleepless nights, if you were to hear about it. Where you think, OK, I'm getting somewhere and God says yeah, leave that. Leave that. Leave that you build that you build that that is flowing. Everything looks great. OH man. In a few years this could become incredible. Leave that. And you get here and its diametrically opposed. I've been praying. Lord man, take me higher. All right. Are you willing to put it on the of altar there? I want you to imagine if you were to sacrifice an animal. Right. How many years it takes to raise a cow? And to make sure that it's not blemish. To make sure that it's. How much pasture you have to grow? To raise an animal that is worthy. Of a sacrifice. How much? That means you have to be diligent with your vaccinations and. Taking the cow you want pastures that are good taking from one place to the next, right? You gotta do that. So that in one day. One day out of how many years of raising a cow, you just threw it right there. So in order to get sanctified. In order to get sanctified. You gotta put something in the altar. We say the glory gives you guidance, right? God leads you, right? Wisdom spend a whole month talking about wisdom, right? The wisdom you need to effective ministry. I'm telling you guys, I'm telling you, I'm please hear me. If you want to last in ministry. I'm not talking about being good. I'm talking about if you want to last stay anointed, stay effective. Show me a man who prays and I'll show you an anointing. You don't pray you don't last. I don't care how intelligent you are. I don't care what you know. I don't care where you've been. If you don't put anything on the altar, there is no anointing or glory coming. Sorry. You see all these scandals happening in churches? You go ask hey, when last did you actually fasted and pray and put something on the table for God to burn? OH, I used to do that.
Now we don't do that anymore. Because we attained what we need to attain. You see all this stuff that's happening all passed us up. Yeah, that's kind of over there. Over there. Over there. Over there. Over there. Over there. Over there. Because they've just been burning. This has been fire consuming because the thing about not placing something on the order right. Is that what ends up happening is that you get consumed. You get consumed. Because the aren't putting nothing. Glory. #11 is revelation. The Holy Spirit glorifies God as he reveals the things of God to you. You know what we are praying for? Let me show you. What, what, how this works guys. We are praying for God now. To give us insights of things that are coming in 2030. So that you and I spiritually, we can start planning . Ahead.
Kathy, you're not just oh, Father. Thank you. Jesus. We are now praying for glory so that God gives us insight into your daughter's 20 years from now. 10 years from now where she goes to college 10 years from now, say God reveal to me, OK, this is what I need you to make sure it's in place because that's coming. Now I'm preparing. You know, to show you what I'm talking. About I have. A little girl in this house, Ava. She loves tennis. She just sees and do stuff that no people her age should be doing. And God somehow, in his infinite wisdom, there's all these people that are propping up in their life. She has met people who won grand slams, played with Pete Sampras, coach. You know all. These things right? God is showing and us talking to us. God is showing you this spot is chosen. You. You didn't pick it, chose you as is.
Now if you know if you want glory. As like a little girl. He better put something on the altar. And that sacrifice is that while others are having a little fun over here, you're going to have to go over there. While everybody's over here playing dolls or you're going to have to go over there. Because if you want this glory. It's not coming while you are laying on the bed and just chilling with your like, yeah. That's not happening. Because God ain’t favoring you because he has nothing better to do. God is not making you a good orator. A good speaker, a good writer. Mary, a good writer to write and they have inside out. You imagine what it takes to have insight, to write something that somebody will enjoy. That you've never met. I want you think about that? How many hours you going to stay up? while everybody's like. And you gonna have to write. You're gonna have to revise. You're gonna have to redo it. Cynthia, I saw your your your e-mail. Think about what you have to do in order to help someone who is having issues. They probably don't even know what they have to have issues. Think about the anxiety, the fear. The shamed the guilty they have. And they come encounter with you. It's. Not about her. Is about the spirit of the man. That you have to say, you know what? Because here's the question. Is it worth healing a person and not touching their soul? It's not.
The best doctors are not the ones that give you medication. Are the ones that sit and talk to you. Now that work is tedious. Cause that's your sacrifice cause you're. Not paid for it. As a physician, you're never getting paid to talk to patients. You get paid to understand medicine and how it works and help clients, but when you can sit for an extra 20 minutes when you know I have to have lunch before my next round or C-section. But you know what this is important. That's what gets you glory. The sergeants you don't have to go and talk to them young people. You can play pickleball all day, from morning to sunshine and play peekaboo, and you and your honey go eat lunch and go home and do it again. And you know what people would say. Well, you are at that age. You need to enjoy retirement. But God says, yeah, I'm calling you. I'm going to use you. I want you to go over there, talk to them people. But you know what? Before we give you glory. Cause to break them yolks, you're going to need God's glory, not your wisdom. Not your words. You're going to need his spirit. I need something on the altar.
Yeah, I'm gonna hook you up with this African. You gotta get up in the morning every day and pray. Or you're going to have to get out of your comfort zone and say something. I know I was. I don't know. I've never. Yeah, that's what I want you to do. Place something for me on the altar. I need something to burn. Lord, I'm out of my comfort zone. I don't know if I can do this. It has never been my. Gift. I know that. What is the sacrifice if it doesn't cost you anything? If if you can easily do it, is that a sacrifice? You know how easy it would have been for Abraham to offer Isaac if he had 16 kids? Like, yeah, man. Boy, you gotta go. There's fifteen of you all over there. But one and only that you spend all your life waiting for. You give me that. So you get. God's revelation. That's the beauty of it. Then his word. Is made clear. Glory gives you resurrection. Now we are talking about spiritual warfare, right? Yeah. The enemy wants to steal your glory. Wants to steal your glory. Make you comfortable, because once you're comfortable, no glory is involved in comfort. It's not happening. Sorry. This is why guys and I'm telling you this because you're endeavoring to do stuff. Ministry that doesn't demand or cost you anything is not ministry. What's there to minister if everyone listen. If we are all on this call here, we will all millionaires and billionaires, we we will be here on Sunday. Like this? Monica, you sitting here hearing an African scream in your ear. Black man. I'm gonna go out here. Chill smoke a cigar and drink little little wine. Whatever it come here, that's what we'll be doing. But that stuff does not give you glory.
Let's look every rich young ruler. He comes to Jesus. Look at what he's saying. What must I do? To inherit the Kingdom of Heaven, why is he asking? The Kingdom of heaven. Because the Kingdom of heaven is the manifestation of God's glory and revelation. That's why he's asking for it. Then Jesus says to him. What you are asking for demands a payment. The payments that you need to get God's glory. You have to place it on an altar and the altar demands that you give your very best. His response to Jesus was well. Have given to the poor. I have done AB and AC. But still I don't have glory. I don't have it. I'm doing all this good things. I still don't have glory. And Jesus says, well, what you're asking for. Let me tell you the price. The price is. Go get everything that you have spent time working for. Go get your Isaac. Go bring Isaac here. And now place him on this altar. And follow my instructions that come follow me. Follow my instructions. Then you get the glory. And he was not willing to purchase to put the price. This is the problem we are having nowadays. That a lot of people, a lot of pastors, a lot of bishops, a lot of church members, a lot of Saints want glory. With no sacrifice. We want it on a silver platter. We want to start a podcast and they have 60,000 people following us tomorrow. Not understanding that. If that happens. Right. They're going to steal your glory. And you don't know cause at some point. You have to pay, and in this Kingdom guys in this Kingdom you are either paying now or you're going to pay later. It's a choice. This is why the Bible is full of people who stand with grace and fell from grace. Started with no grace and obtained grace. David paid his dues early. Hence, he got glory.
Saul never paid no dues. Became a king just because he looked good. That's who they wanted and what happened. He fell from grace because he never paid no sacrifice for no glory. He just had the glory without sacrifice. The reason the enemy wants to steal your glory. Is that he realized it's important. It's important purpose in mobilizing you for the work of the Lord. He also knows that the glory of God is an effective weapon for spiritual warfare. This is why I'm saying to all of us guys, all these problems that we have put together in our prayer request. They are an opportunity for us to place something at the altar. So that his glory can be revealed. So. I don't want us to freak out. If you do freak out, yeah. Freak out for a few minutes. And come out of it. And say where's the opportunity lies? We are not saying. Don't feel the pain, Nadia. No, feel the pain. But after you do that. Get out of it. When you get on your knees when the pain hits you, then that anguish is there and you get on your knees. Slowly but surely. You're placing your sacrifice. At the altar so that when that fire comes down, it doesn't burn the wood, only it burns the wood and your sacrifice.
After that, glory shows up everything that you are endeavoring to do. And the thing about doing it this way is that they respect you have for the things that God gives you. Because that's what humility is, and without humility. You will lose everything that God gives you. Even in glory, even if you paid for it. Even if you sacrificed for it, you will lose it. Why do you think David writes? Don't take your spirit from me. If that was not a possibility. So. That's glory. Opportunities. And sacrifice. Build your altar. We're we're building this altar, but we. Gotta constantly place something over there. So when you see all this stuff here. When my sister Dorothy over there is saying man, I want to get closer to God and be consistent. What you are actually asking for? Is God. I want to offer a sacrifice. So I can place it there so I can get the glory of consistence that I need. Amen.
And which reminds me, Veronica, I need to tell you something that I was praying for earlier and that happened. So guys. Don't despise. These challenges. Because if they were not there one day you will actually miss having challenges. Because they sharpen you. The quickening, they strengthen you, they show you a different way. About you. Cause man, when you pray for your niece over there, your, your, your cousin over there. And one day they show up in their right mind and they say, man, I need you to minister to me. You don't run out of words to say. People I sit over here let me show you what I was. Let me give you a word that the Lord gave me while I was praying for you five years ago.
But yeah, this word has been waiting for you. The Lord gave it to me.
And this moment you say it? They'll be like. Oh my God.
This is exactly what I needed to hear or phrase be to our father. God then says I receive my glory. The day the Lord says well done faithful. Wonderful. That day. He's not talking about your. Accumulation in deeds.
He's talking about the moments that you place stuff and order and his glory came down. And affected and affected change around. And others got to experience what they wouldn't have experience if you hadn't offered your sacrifice.
That's when he says, well done. Faithful.
Mary, when you finish your book. It touches 1-2 or 90 or 100 people. Whoever gets touched and they say.
But I needed that.
I'm running to the altar.
God says Mary well done. Faithful, wonderful child.
That's all.
When you drive a beautiful car, that's not glory.
Isn't it amazing how now we have equated? Things to glory.
Look at the glory of God, what he has. Done for me.
Perishable things. How is God's glory perishable? That's why things are not glory. It's just things. I'm watching every day, all these people. Pastors my age at the airport.
I am in the so and so area if. You are here. I'm at the airport right now, passing through and be ministering at this church. If you want to hear a word from the Lord, show up.
Why? Because this is supposed to be glory? You know, you know, today I really had an awesome time in the. Lord in the morning. One of the things that really the spirits you know, as I'm having this conversation every. Morning I was like. You missed it with the pandemic. You missed it.
And my Lord.
He says. The pandemic was not for us to get better at doing church online. No, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. The pandemic was for us to return the church home.
Home.
I'm shutting you all indoors. You and your family. Next church. That's what we were supposed to do. Make glory home. Then when you've done that, when you come together with two or more of, you are gathered in my name. Everybody on the same page. Then I will hear from heaven. And heal the land. But you know what we did? We did the opposite. We forced the issue when God was saying not now. I don't want you all to do that. But what were we concerned about? We are concerned about saving our buildings things. Isn't it amazing that even though we were concerned about saving things, the government came behind us and says, hey, we'll give you some money to keep things afloat? But we insisted. On keeping things. In the name of doing church. And we missed it. We missed it. The Lord today, this morning is like you missed it. You were support church and was returning church home. Isn't it amazing, though? Isn't it amazing, guys? Right after that, we've gone crazy. Not better crazy. In fact, we don't even know what glory is. We don't want to put nothing on the altar. We want it easy, simple doesn't have. We don't have to meet. We can just do it this way. It's much safer because everybody is too busy to put anything on the altar.
We don't want you to bring. Offering your body as a living sacrifice is not a thing anymore. You can offer it while you are over there. In fact. While you doing your dishes? Just put your earphones. And half-heartedly listen to me. Cause it doesn't have to be that difficult. Show me. Show me how easy it was for Moses. Show me how easy it was for Daniel. Show me how easy it was for Elijah. Elisha. Samuel show me how easy it was for Hannah, for Esther. Show me how easy it was for Jesus. A light Peter. James John. Paul, show me how easy it was for them to obtain this same glory, this same glory, not a different kind, this same glory we are asking for. We, the young rulers, the rich young ruler. We won it without offering nothing. We are able to do every Lord and then we will say, Lord, we have given everything. Oh, I gave that. Or I will visited hospitals. I did that. And I did that too.
That's why the story is in the scriptures, because we decided not to offer anything. And I'm telling you this year from experience, because during the pandemic I said, Lord, I cannot stay home. And make it easy. I'm going to take this year and time to train. And for that reason, I know my life changed. Because I was doing 6 hours of prayer every morning. Get up, get in the car, drive the church. Get in there. Six hours of prayer. Come back home. Get the kids. Hey, we're going to go work out, everybody. We're going to do Scripture. And the Lord was like, that's what I was hoping people would do. Now imagine if we all have done that. Imagine in all our shutting down quiet times in our homes, no Internet, no church, no church online. What was going to happen if you loved Jesus? How many preachers would we have right now? Who would have studied the world and make sure it was delivered in their own home the right way? How many worship leaders would they have created?
Isn't it amazing that we are running out of worship leaders, as you could say, wow. There is the Lord in there. Good preaching doesn't exist anymore. Doesn't good preaching? I'm not talking about nice words. I'm talking one that cuts your heart and you go home and you say you know what? Let me check my temperature. I need to go deal with some issues and figure it out and get my glory and do some stuff. It's all feel good. I'm telling you all. And the reason I'm telling you this here, guys. I'm now aware at this junction. Just based on the things that we've been going through here. From last year to now. Stuff that we are praying for, stuff that you guys are endeavoring to do and collectively, when I look at the picture and hear this one story and this one story and I'm. Just like whoa. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lords. Because I know for a fact just based on that. That there is preparation that's happening for everything that you guys are talking and. Trying to do. So in the words of these African. Get ready. Don't freak out with the little problems and big challenges that are happening in your life right now. Don't. Because if we're going to experience the glory of the Lord, I'm talking about the glory of the Lord, that the young ruler was asking Jesus for that. Oh, you gotta pay for it. Is not cheap, by the way. And the beauty of it. He is not asking you to give up what he hasn't given you. Isaac, I gave you Isaac. You have no Isaac, by the way. You were sitting over there, old, dying without no son. And I give it to you and I'm asking you to give it back. As a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. So that in return. I give you back glory. I give you time.
I give you long life. Healthy. Strength nor sickness in your body. I gave it to you. All I'm asking in return give it back as a living sacrifice and in return I give you more glory. Why? So that others. Get to experience the same thing you are experiencing. Simple. It sounds difficult. That's simple.
So, 19:11, 11 minutes over. Why didn't you raise your hand? Are we together.
Yes.
So. I'm saying this even though it's tough, even though it's difficult, even though it's challenging even all these things are rising. The fact of the matter is this. When all this stuff starts happening, God is actually raising a standard in US. Cause the devil does not come in like a flood and don't have corresponding corresponding standards. Being raised spiritually. So all this is an opportunity Cynthia, it is challenging, but the standard is you saying here I receive that and then God gives you more. To match what's going, but when he gives you more, it doesn't come without you getting the revelation of who he is. Got it. Nadia, you got it.
Good.
Our Heavenly Father bless, bless, bless, bless. Pray for blessings, blessings as we continue to build these altars and place our sacrifice on it.
We thank you. For glory in advance. That's coming.
In Jesus name. Amen.
